After several days of hiking across through the valley and staying as a guest in farmhouses along the trail, this hotel was a welcoming comfort: central location, easy to locate, clean room, decent shower and Wi-Fi connection. Staff were friendly and helpful and the terrace was a great spot for a beer in the sunshine. Breakfast was okay, with a good selection of local produce.

I can concur with other reviewers! Perfect location, room with river view, restaurants on doorstep. Clean, comfortable. Nice terrace for drinks with river view. Gelato available to buy on site. Helpful staff. Discount for rafting if organised through the hotel. We loved Permet; a laid-back, 'normal' town close to breathtaking nature.

Awesome hotel with nice rooms and great outside eating area with great views, staff was friendly and rooms was clean with great showers. It's right in center of town with all places 5 minutes walk away. Great value for money and do a decent breakfast

Good hotel in Permët. Located just a short walk from the river. And very convenient in the mid of town, close to restaurants and cafés. Staff was friendly, bed was comfy and breakfast buffet was good too. Loved all the different homemade jam varieties.

The location is excelent , from the room we saw the Permet rock and the river. Excelent bar and garden with this view. The owners , couple, give us a very good servic and were very helpful. free parking , the wifi was very good. Breakfast was good . the room was big and very clean .

Fantastic location over looking the river whilst also in the central sqaure. Run by an extremely friendly family that also helped us to organise rafting. Amazing views from the hotel to the mountain. The restaurant where breakfast is served is on the roof, so it is beautiful to sit and eat whilst taking in the spectacular views. The hotel is in a great location in the heart of the old bazaar. It is also easy to walk up to the caslte. Room was comfy and the views definitely are the selling point of this hotel.

Fantastic location, 1 minute walk from the Grand Bizarre and 1 minute in the other direction to the cathedral. Restautants and bars are on the doorstep. Breakfast was the best that I have had so far in Albania with much more choice and food being replenished. The shower was not great, with water not coming out of the whole shower head but the room was good with a comfy bed.

Really well located, modern hotel. This hotel is just beyond the end of the road up to the town meaning you don't have to take your luggage too far! Can't get any where more central, right in the square. Vehicles only allowed so far , it's a 5 minute walk. Easy check-in, lift temperamental, room clean and tidy, comfortable bed, decent shower. Only negative, there's no bedside light , bit of an inconvenience. Breakfast OK, great views from the dining room. I had a balcony with my room, great views.

Facing the main square Hotel Cajupi is close to many restaurants. The outdoor dining area on the top floor offers a panoramic view ot the town and nearby plains. Rooms were clean with consistent wi-fi access. The hotel offer a modest breakfast buffet. When I dined there the only fruit served was sliced watermelon. The coffee was also weak.

Right on the edge of the old cobblestone paved streets of the city of stone. This hotel is very good option. Breakfast was very good. They do not accept credit cards.Bar service was also very good. We recommended!

Had an amazing time at Hotel Fantasy! Service was great! Breakfast was delicious! We couldn’t find parking and called the front desk and they were so helpful picking us up. This is a lovely old well maintained hotel at top of Gjirokaster with great views over valley and hills. Rooms were in excellent condition and breakfast was amazing - the best we had anywhere in Albania. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel with European styling, lovely bathrooms, lovely woodwork, tea kettle in the room. Good water pressure in a compact shower so not for the obese. Plenty of lighting and two mirrors. Firm mattress and immaculately clean throughout. Excellent breakfast serving the expected plus cooked beets, beet greens and vegetables.

Located very easy walk to the Castle of Gjirokastra; Argjiro Hotel has been renovated to match the ambiance of the area with impressive and detailed hand-crafted wood working in the reception area. This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in Albania! The renovations were incredible. The woodworking and art were amazing and fine. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. This was an amazing hotel. My room was so nice. The breakfast was very tasty and it’s on such a nice street. There is a terrace on the second floor which is beautiful, and also has a pretty view of the street I strongly recommend this for anyone with family or friends!

Beautiful hotel in an incredible setting. The road up is challenging but they provide YouTube videos which are very helpful, and taxis up and down are inexpensive if you prefer not to drive it yourself. Would very much recommend a stay here!

Clean room, great food and very friendly, pro active staff! We wished we stayed longer. One full day can be spent by the pool with amazing views of the old town! The pool water is super clean too! Food and drinks were reasonably priced and there’s free parking! Stay as long as possible!

Unfortunately this structure is not valued, because if someone put their hands on it, it would become one of the most beautiful hotels in Albania, because it has a really beautiful location and a swimming pool on the top floor that takes your breath away. Stayed here for 5 nights the hotel has alot of character but is in need of some updating. Specifically the bathroom. The shower soaked the bathroom every time it was used. We also found although the cleaner drops us clean towel in the time of our stay the room was not brushed or moped.
