Sovereign Hill Hotel in Ballarat

Very good location next to Ballarat Gold Mine.

the hotel was pretty good the beds were nice I got to test them out VERY well HOWEVER the buffet was kinda below average the waiter accidentally ( I hope ) dropped a fork on my brother Sam he is still in pain. The food Wasnt very good either no hash browns or pancakes or waffles . Also no Nutella And there was also MULTIPLE hairs in our food. I do not recommend eating there. Over all the buffet experience was a 1/5 starts. And the hotel was 3/5 starts. I took 2 stars away because it was ******* and the tv was kinda broken and the toilet was also very leaky and sprained EVERYWHERE. Overall sovereign Hill was pretty good Ig. The Hotel just located beside Sovereign Hill, We purchase as a package with the park so there are some extra perks when visiting the place. Look at their Sovereign Hill website for the package for the accommodation. The hotel room is cosy and comfort. Room are pretty new and I had a good stay there.

This hotel is actually connected to the gold mine. In the past, there was a back door, and you could buy tickets for the gold mine at the hotel, but now it doesn't work. But it's not far around the front. The architectural style is Victorian style, and the internal facilities are also very good, which can be used as an additional content for gold mine visits. recommend

The location of Sovereign Hill Hotel is very good, just across the road is the Golden Town. The view from the room is nice and there is a coffee maker in the room. The heater is big and warm.

It had been a long time since I'd been to see the night show at Sovereign Hill and so my sister and I planned an overnight trip. We booked our tickets to Sovereign Hill, the night show, and also our accommodation all on the website which made things easy.

You can check-in to the hotel from 2pm so we arrived around 11.30am and spent the better part of the day wandering around exploring the historical site. We decided to head to the hotel around 3.30pm. Having not been there before we asked where to go and it's a separate entrance so it's best to drive up and around the corner. You can get a pass out so that you can check-in to your hotel and then come back to explore some more. They also provide hotel guests with back entry access if you request it so that you can enter back into the park through a gate and building rather than having to go all the way around - just speak to the staff when you check-in.

The rooms were lovely, nice, and clean with comfortable beds and a few kitchen essentials (kettle, microwave, bar fridge). It was perfect for one night as we wouldn't need much else. The view from our room was great, we could see trees and down into the park a little bit.

There was a bit of rain but nothing too noisy. We could hear when people were in the hall that accessed all of the rooms but it was mostly just when people were arriving or leaving - we didn't have any of that noise during the night.

After attending the sound and lights show we were dropped off by the gate that then lead up to our room so it's a walkable route which we liked.

The shower was perfect, no water or pressure issues. Very happy with our experience.

All the staff here are really really nice! All staff inside the museum are so professionals! They seems like real residents living in the village. It was rainy day and as I travel alone, I pulled a big luggage without driving. The gift shop staff helped me to call the hotel staff assisting me to go to the hotel. It is a wonderful experience for me!
