DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns

We stayed at the hotel for seven nights and loved it! The room was clean, modern enough, had a kettle/coffee machine, hairdryer and a safe to store your belongings. Not to forget about a complimentary bottle of vine and free parking included to our offer. We chose an ocean view and the room had a balcony with an outdoor furniture and a coffee table to enjoy sunrises and sunsets.
The hotel staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating our requests going advice and beyond expectations.
We had buffet breakfast included to our stay which had great variety of food with daily menu alternations.
We weren't lucky with the weather and the pool was too cold for us but kids enjoyed swimming. The pool towels were easily accessible and the pool area was lovely for either sun baking (in season) or resting in a shade.
The location of the hotel was just perfect with eateries, markets and supermarkets nearby as well as Cairns aquarium and playgrounds.
Would highly recommend staying at Doubltree by Hilton!

5 star service with a 4 star building.
This is so close to a 5 star review just the age of the building lets it down. Still don't let that worry you if you are thinking of staying, the building is glorious and if you enjoy a 50s building in the golden light then this is for you. Really well positioned to Cairns and just far away enough that you don't hear the yelling from the regulars.

My husband and I stayed here beginning of September 23. Loved the location, right near the esplanade. The room was comfortable, clean and the shower was awesome. All the staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

Of wine in room. Our room had beach views with the doors opening all the way. It was a perfect stay. The road noise at night is a little loud but doesn’t last all night. Would recommend and stay again. We didn’t try the pool but it looked relaxing and spacious. There is also a restaurant attached to hotel. We Didn’t dine there but the menu looked yummy. (Make sure your patio door is shut all the way or the AC won’t work in room)

It is a bit of an older hotel, but still had a lot of great accommodations like an on-site restaurant, pool, and person to sign up for trips. The location rocks! Right across from the aquarium, close to restaurants, and far enough from the night life to not hear the noise, but close enough to walk to. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good. Would definitely stay there again!

Absolutely fantastic stay! Really feels like a true 5 star experience, I so appreciate all the little touches from the warm cookie at check in to letting us store our bags, and the voucher for a free drink because of “renovation inconvenience.” I have not been inconvenienced once since coming here! Excellent views of the city and ocean, comfortable clean rooms, good value, and friendly staff!
