Spacious room, very comfortable bed with ceiling fan and nice cold AC. Lovely lady who serviced us. Parking available and good, central location. We had a good stay :)

I felt that it was a very good point that there was a railroad crossing of the Kuranda Railway nearby and I could see the train up close. Also, there is a convenience store nearby, so I don't think you will have any trouble living.

The receptionists were very nice, kind and polite. There was a pool in the middle of the hotel, and it was nice to be able to spend time watching the children having fun.

We booked this on the night of arrival. The office was closed, but the owner was very quick to respond. He gave us a late checkout, which was very welcome after a trying days travel. Good, comfortable sleep, and after checkout we were able to leave our luggage there. There is a noisy exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the room needs some maintenance, but overall a good place to stay.

Overall, I was very satisfied, but when we checked in, we were told that the king-size room we booked was fully booked and we could only get a twin-size room, which was really incomprehensible. But the rest was really good. I especially like the handsome guys and girls at the front desk who helped us book nearby attractions and were very friendly and kind. Our trip to Cairns was also very beautiful...

Its a good place within access to many facilities. The staff is friendly and quite forthcoming in attending to one's needs. Rooms are clean and roomy affording a good aeration. Will recommend the place for any type of stay, holiday or work, short or long stays

View from the room looks really good. It is 1km walking distance to everything including bars restaurants ferry supermarket and public swimming pools. 1 dollar day pass bus is available and there is a stop behind the hotel. But if you do not want to walk for hundreds meters or 1km, the location is not good for you.

The location is excellent. Everything is walking distance. Restaurants everywhere and shopping centers. The property is clean and the staff are accommodating. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is found here.

I like everything about the hotel,excellent location,staff friendly and very helpful,only thing i didn’t like was the pool,very cold,especially the spa,i have never experienced cold spa.

The facilities are very old. The terrace on the second floor is very large and you can see the fireworks. It is troublesome to go downstairs to get towels.

Overall we had a good stay here but found the housekeeping policy very strange. There is no housekeeping unless you pay for it (or stay for 8 days). We could change our towels personally at the front desk but were requested to take out our own trash and had no way of vacuuming after a long stay. However, the room was adequate and we very much enjoyed the location, which couldn’t have been better.

The hotel is close to the pier. Behind the hotel is the only Chinese restaurant in Cairns, Chuan Xiang Yuan, and a supermarket. Opposite the hotel is a public swimming pool. The hotel suites are quite good and large enough. The suites are equipped with complete kitchenware and tableware, as well as washing machines and dryers. The only drawback of the hotel is that cleaning is charged separately.

I will review from a Japanese perspective. Stayed in early May. Pros - Great location - All the front desk staff are kind - The barbecue set that you can borrow for free includes many types of tongs, oil, salt, and pepper - Soft toilet paper - Many types of coffee and tea are available. The room size is relatively large, a bit small and old, and it is relatively close to the airport. health conditions can also. Its restaurant serves Thai food. I ate it once for dinner, so you can give it a try.

Not a bad spot but there are better options in town. The front staff is nice but you can wait up to half an hour because there is one staff member for the desk for a fairly large hotel. The room was comfortable and air conditioned. One washer and dryer for the hotel at $3 each ($1 coins only). The restaurant is so-so. Other people were having hot water issues and had to change rooms multiple times...

People can be precious. It's cheap, clean, quiet, friendly and convenient. Close to foreshore and all the takeaway you could need on the highway 200m away. As good as you could ask for a work traveller.

The room is quite big, but it is on the second floor, on the street side, and you can't see the sea view. The sanitation seems to be just changing the bath towels and throwing away some garbage. Overall it's not bad.

A well presented accommodation with everything you need. I really liked the front desk hours. They are open till 10.30 pm. The only setback was that the wi fi didn't work.

Location is very convenient, room was clean. Unfortunately, the walls to neighbouring rooms must be thin as it was quite noisy and the room faced onto a main part of town making it quite bright at night.

Location wise, it was great! But note that it is not a serviced apartment. Also, they only give coffees, etc good for a few days. So if you're staying more than 3 or 4 days, you're better off buying a small jar from Coles across the road! Otherwise, good for the purpose. Not fabulous but ok.

Ok for a night, but not any longer. The fan only had one speed (slow) regardless of the setting it was on. Same as the AC fan only went slow despite setting and then would turn off every hour???? Staff were very nice and location was great, handy to everything, but a stay during winter would be more advisable when the whether is cooler.

Fabulous I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the apartment with kitchen. I always look for an apartment with a bath and Tropic Towers didn’t disappoint.

This property was great value, and very spacious with a lovely little bath to soak in, while taking in the bird sounds, and the swaying palms overlooking the balcony. Close to town, but set apart from the main busy area, it was perfect for our stay, and was even better than we had imagined. Check in process was easy and seamless. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It was quite a hassle to carry my suitcase up the stairs. There was no hotel staff at the counter, but they came right away when I rang the bell.

Great location. Easy walking to beach, shops, night market and ******. Older unit but had everything we needed. Lovely helpful staff. Down side only 6 car parks. If you miss out on a car park you have to park out side on the street. I would definetly stay here again.

Convenient apartment with pool. The sheets were clean and there was air conditioning in each room that only went as low as 23 degrees. The whole place could have done with a thorough clean though and at least cleaned under the beds between guests. OK place to stay.

I would recommend Tradewinds as a great place to stay. The apartments are very comfortable & very clean. The beds are great......the best nights sleep I've ever had outside my own home. The aircon is fantastic. The pool area is a great place to relax & cool off. Wayne & Linda are lovely & were very helpful & considerate to myself & my family during our stay.

Stayed there for a week. Nice pool, good parking, close enough to the shops and town centre. Nice, clean rooms. Would stay there again. Only down side was the host. Could be a bit more accommodating. Over all quite happy.

A nice place to stay when I was in the North for a few years - clean, quiet, area, and Graham the manager was usually always around to help - a great place for locals, but for tourists it is a bit far from the centre of town - need to hire a car from the airport or in town if you want to go exploring.

Sally was so friendly and prompt in her communication, it made my stay that much more special. She gave some great recommendations on what to do during my stay. I loved my room - it was spacious, clean and decorated in Balinese style. The location is good, walkable distance to the city center and the complementary breakfast was a bonus touch. All in all, a very comfy stay.

We loved it! Stayed three nights in one room and two nights in another. The rooms were very clean, with lovely sheets and good aircon. Continental breakfast included fruit, muesli and raisin toast - my favorites. It was quiet and there is a pool. Great value for money and staff were very helpful :)

Not expensive motel at nice place near to Cairns Esplanade. Room was spacious with good equipment as air-conditioning, flat TV, refrigerator, etc. Bathroom is also pretty big. Problem is that you can hear nearly everything around you. Every step on staircase, all sound from dinning place. Also included breakfast was not traditional continental but very small.

We stayed originally 2 nights in an Ensuite cabin at this holiday park and enjoyed it so much we extended another day. Room is clean and well equipped, staff friendly, no complaints at all! Great location as close to Cairns! Would recommend and definitely stay again if in the area next time!

We loved this place it was great to stay in, the cabins had everything we needed the service was friendly and the staff around the park were great as well. It was close to everything and easy to get in and out of. Facilities were neat and clean we used the BBQ area with our friends that were camping, was so clean.

Park fine. Amenities old but clean. Noise from the main road at night can be heard particularly when sirens go past which is very often - not that the park can do anything about this but just be warned WiFi was not stable in the location we camped so don’t rely on using it. This van park lovely. Handy too. Only fault is every morning the cleaner/ owner ? moves books & mags out of laundry & throws away ( or gives away). So a few people hoping to swap books but couldnt. I ended up swapping with another lady.

Beautiful and cozy property on the beautiful Cairns Esplanade. Management was super helpful and friendly. Fantastic air conditioning which is a must have in the Cairns heat. Only 2mins away from the hospital and local cafes. Apartment was fully self contained and perfect for my 5week stay.
