Easy walk to get coffee breakast lunch and dinner. There are lots of bars nearby for drinks. The rooms are nice.

Great location and rooms had a good layout, but were extremely musty and the bed harder than the floor.

The location of this place are not too bad if you just want to hang around within the city. The car park upstairs are limited but you can park outside the Hotel. There is indoor pool in the first floor and Small gym. The carpet in the room are stained and looks old . Staff are great, appreciate the help from Crystal and others at the front desk, they go above and beyond. The hotel is in a very central location but rooms are a dated. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, given multiple broken things like the dishwasher, dryer, mirrors etc. and super bright lights make the room feel like you are in a supermarket. Would stay again for location alone, however.

Nice hotel. Friendly team members and the facilities are pretty good. Had a few issues accessing the wifi and pricing for mini bar. No list in room and online document didn’t contain. TVs need a bit of an upgrade as slow to work and connect

The staff were amazing. John was able to assist us with our requirements which we thought may have been impossible. Very helpful checkin and check out personnel, and bar/restaurant staff could not have been more polite and helpful. I will always take the opportunity to stay there when we can.

Whilst I only stayed overnight during holiday travel, the experience at Ibis Mackay was great. A compact but very comfortable room overlooking Hay Point and the adjacent cane fields. The staff, especially those in the restaurant were fantastic. They really made for a relaxing experience - just what is needed after a long day travelling.

The room was lovely, clean and quiet. The reception staff very friendly. The bar staff at breakfast not so much - very curt, and the breakfast itself sub-par. Was really looking forward to starting each day with something delicious, but most of the choices (and there weren't many) were very average. I'm very easily pleased, so was truly disappointed.

Bed was really comfy. The restaurant and bar were adequate. The hotel is great if you need to stay a night before or after a flight.

Had an issue with our original room, was handled professionally, and put into an upgraded room. Both rooms were clean and tidy, all staff very friendly. Will stay again.

The service was exceptional, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bar and restaurant on site was lovely, we didn't eat there but had a few drinks at the bar. Location was beautiful. Food was outstanding. We had many cocktails, all were well made, tasted Devine. The most impressive part was the staff. I like staying here every time I come to Mackay on business. It’s close to everything in the CBD. All within walking distance. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. I love staying here. I love the view of the ocean, and the rooms are large, clean, and have everything I need. This time, it was a bit noisy upstairs. It sounded like they were renovating, which was a little disappointing as I came to work and relax.

Staff are wonderful and very friendly. Hotel needs an update but very affordable and the pool area is lovely. Only suggestion - have the bar open during the day on weekends especially for pool area.

Perfect experience for my husband's Christmas party. Staff were wonderful, our meals were lovely and the room I asked to be upgraded to was just what I needed with a spa and fantastic views over the Mackay Marina.

Room was beautiful and had everything we needed. View stunning with large balcony. We had room service one night and breakfast by the pool next morning and both were excellent. Facilities were such I would consider apartment living except I am not partial to body corporate control.

The room was well sized, but it hadn't been cleaned properly. The smoke alarm kept going off which was a pain over a few nights as there was nobody able to fix them (Christmas period). The most worrying thing was that external sliding doors to the balcony do not lock with a key and are at perfect toddler height! I was extremely worried about staying here with my young children.

Lovely space to rest. We stayed in the cabins, and they were very spacious. I loved the in-built stovetop. Allowed us to easily cook up a meal. Very affordable as well.

Reseption staff were very friendly and helpful. Amenities were clean, Pool is great biggest pool I've ever seen in a park. Central to shops and Bike paths. Great value at $80 for 3 nights power and water. Just needs a bit of TLC. Would stay again.

We don't know why people are complaining about this park? We have found it to be well maintained, clean and tidy, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Some of the amenities may be showing some age,but like I said before, everything works. We would be happy to stay here again, so we give it a thumbs up 👍 😀

Our family had a beautiful week at this resort and the staff were INCREDIBLY accommodating and helpful. We cannot thank them enough. The units contain everything you might need on holiday with a young family. The pools are awesome and the beach is BEAUTIFUL! The best beach in Mackay.

This place has to be one of the best kept secrets on the Queensland coast. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the site is extremely quiet and peaceful and the landscaping is lovely. Clean & tidy nice staff. But no restaurant. We walked across the Bruce hwy to the pub for dinner. There is breakfast to the room which was lovely.

It was ok it's really close to the beach and quite peaceful except for the fact it is right behind the airport and the planes are very loud also the room I stayed in was dirty when we got there and where DIRTY towles and I mean like red brown and yellow stains on them and the staff don't really talk to anyone like when I walked past they didn't even say hi

Great place to stay if you want to escape the noise and business of the city. Quiet and peaceful, great out door pool and lounging area.

Fantastic value, nice little self contained units, great for a family. Nice and close to the beach so you can walk down there whenever you want. Free wi-fi to make the stay easier. Occasional plane goes over but the noise only lasts for 2 seconds.

Staff is accommodating. We rented their Villa and a bit congested for a family of 4. There's a double deck bed which my kids don't like sleeping, the mattress is dusty same goes under it. Great place, great facilities. We stayed on a powered site, sleeping in our car. Toilets, showers, cooking facilities, fridge and freezer, laundry and washing lines. Some shaded areas available but only some areas. Also provide great tourist advice and gas bottle refills.

My family and I stayed at tropic coast for some time, during our stay we were made to feel very welcome, Eva and bryan and their cleaning team were very polite and more then happy to catered to my family's needs. Room was great, comfortable beds, motel itself is well maintained. 11 out of 10 will stay here again.

Deluxe cabin comfortably fit a family of 4. The pool with a slide was a big hit, but being new year was very busy. Splash park was also great.

The camp itself is great, beautiful and clean. But, The noise from trucks and hoons most days goes into the early Am sleeping was hard due to noise. Great spot to flick lures into the fresh water and catch a Barra.

Mackay Discovery Park was an exceptional place to spend quality time with family. Both the kids & adults loved the pool area. We were there over Easter. Went to the pub for dinner and the meals were excellent! We ordered the seafood marinara and steak which were both cooked perfectly! The staff were very friendly and the meals came out quickly.

Went for dinner with friends, ordered via the QR code on tables. Even though we had to wait over an hour for meals due the app not working the feed was well worth it. The staff tried their best to make up for the technical error. We will definitely be back again

Very hospitable and helpful, I arrived at 8.20, hungry, and they raced around and made me a meal & they found a couple of Guinness cans which were cold and went down well, they were happy to re-charge my phone, for which I am In appreciation for. Great place would go back in a flash.
