Very close the Mackay Airport and very comfortable, quiet and clean

Although it is next to the airport, it is not noisy at all. The restaurant downstairs is good and the scenery outside the window is also very good.

I would recommend the Quest Mackay on Gordon. The rooms are spacious, we got a 2 bedroom looking towards the ocean. Benefits are the washing machine & dryer, pool, gym, parking underneath, pub on one side with Coles shopping and chemist on the other.. Tip... The room are very spacious, with kitchenette, the sofa can be used as bed, It's very open and clean. Everything are working in order. The office table had charging Dock attached and ready to use. Great location. I even saw sunrise from balcony. Rooms are clean, I want to say special thank you to staff there, who were very courteous and thoughtful. We have 2 adults and 1 child booked for a 1 bedroom apartment, the staff made the sofa bed for us beforehand, which made our sleeping more comfortable.

Great views of the river. Walking distance to Canelands, the lagoon and dining. Nice room. The view from the open area at the top floor is beautiful. My only complaint was that there is a bad smell in the room. It needed to be aired out daily.

They allowed me to checkin early while other hotels said they were full or couldn't have rooms available until lunch time. This beautiful little motel is exceptionally clean, friendly and professional. I stayed in a pet friendly room which was spacious as well as very clean! Just an honest motel. Nothing more nothing less. The rooms are dry and cool. Decor is very 80s but you get what you pay for. Anne on the front desk is a delight.

Near the airport, Coral Cay was easy to get to and in an ideal location. The hotel was stunning, surrounded by palm trees and a relaxing pool. The bed was so comfy (especially after 2 days of travelling from England) and the shower was so warm with high pressure. I would definitely stay here again! I love staying here. I love the view of the ocean, and the rooms are large, clean, and have everything I need. This time, it was a bit noisy upstairs. It sounded like they were renovating, which was a little disappointing as I came to work and relax.

Firstly, the name of the resort does not match the booking site, so made it more difficult to find. Was told the restaurant would be open for dinner and it wasn’t. Not what you want to hear after a 12 hour drive. And thirdly, no one on reception when we checked out at 8.45 am. And no drop box for the room key.

The room we stayed in was very dated and original. It is in need of a renovation which a lot of the other units have had. Will be staying at Dolphin heads again but definately nog in this unit unless it is renovated.

Staff is accommodating. We rented their Villa and a bit congested for a family of 4. There's a double deck bed which my kids don't like sleeping, the mattress is dusty same goes under it. Great place, great facilities. We stayed on a powered site, sleeping in our car. Toilets, showers, cooking facilities, fridge and freezer, laundry and washing lines. Some shaded areas available but only some areas. Also provide great tourist advice and gas bottle refills.

This was surprisingly great! I say surprising since at first we though there would be problems, but no, all was good. The website warns about late check-in, but that was not a problem at all. The shower head looks old and sprays outside of the shower area with the door open, but the water pressure is amazing and everything stays inside once you close the door. Had a one night stay here. The complex is modern and fresh looking. Room was clean, tidy quiet and comfortable. Air con was great, and the door was able to be left open at night using the security/insect screen. (The room did have the most cryptic TV to figure out, but eventually I got it to do what I wanted it to do lol). Friendly Reception staff.

We don't know why people are complaining about this park? We have found it to be well maintained, clean and tidy, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Some of the amenities may be showing some age,but like I said before, everything works. We would be happy to stay here again, so we give it a thumbs up 👍 😀

I love this Motel infact I have stayed here on several occasions the place has a certain nostalgia about it and I always feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed each time I stay here. Our family had a beautiful week at this resort and the staff were INCREDIBLY accommodating and helpful. We cannot thank them enough. The units contain everything you might need on holiday with a young family. The pools are awesome and the beach is BEAUTIFUL! The best beach in Mackay.

It was ok it's really close to the beach and quite peaceful except for the fact it is right behind the airport and the planes are very loud also the room I stayed in was dirty when we got there and where DIRTY towles and I mean like red brown and yellow stains on them and the staff don't really talk to anyone like when I walked past they didn't even say hi

Flyscreen was fitted and I could open the window for air and natural lights. It's rare to have flyscreen maintained in Mackay city.

I’ve stayed here 3 times in the past 6 to 8 weeks and can’t fault it. The rooms, the customer service, the price and location put this place well above the standard. It’s quiet, clean, friendly and the owners/managers go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The wifi is excellent. I highly recommend Mackay Motor Inn if you are ever travelling to Mackay.

Helpful, friendly staff. Our Standard Queen room included a kitchen sink, which was convenient. It had a comfortable bed and was reasonably tidy although in need of repairs and a deep-clean. The shower had plenty of pressure and hot water.

Went for dinner with friends, ordered via the QR code on tables. Even though we had to wait over an hour for meals due the app not working the feed was well worth it. The staff tried their best to make up for the technical error. We will definitely be back again

We had an excellent experience at The Shakespeare Motel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. The restaurant meals are amazing. Especially the sticky date pudding! We stayed in the family suite for three weeks on first arriving in Mackay. It was clean and we'll set up, easy to self cater with everything needed. Staff are great, appreciate the help from Crystal and others at the front desk, they go above and beyond. The hotel is in a very central location but rooms are a dated. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, given multiple broken things like the dishwasher, dryer, mirrors etc. and super bright lights make the room feel like you are in a supermarket. Would stay again for location alone, however.
