Very accommodating, and able to help with a last-minute booking. The pool was lovely, and the late-night receptionist was extremely professional. I believe her name was Charlotte, and I would definitely recommend her for a promotion. I would also suggest spending a little more for one of the nicer rooms, I will certainly do so next time
We had a fabulous 5 night stay at The Oaks. Rooms were great, clean and furnishings were modern. Beds were a little soft for my liking but none the less comfortable. The restaurants within the resort were great and had plenty to choose from. Location was convenient - only a 5 minute drive to the main street of Port Douglas. The included buffet breakfast each morning was a great addition. The pool is...
Our stay at The Oaks Hotel Port Douglas was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The resort was beautiful, clean, and relaxing — the perfect tropical escape. Everything from the check-in to the poolside vibes was seamless and stress-free. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and every single staff member greeted us with a smile. It truly felt like home away from home, just with palm trees...
The first thing I want to mention is the breakfast. It wasn’t anything fancy, but I could truly feel the chef’s sincerity in every dish. That morning, the chef had a tattoo on his left arm and a hunched back, and he kept checking the food and cooking with real dedication. I’m genuinely grateful for the delicious breakfast.
The reception staff were also very friendly and explained everything clearly...
The Oaks Resort is a fantastic place to stay. It is ideal for couples and families. The rooms are super clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable and shower is great (hot water and pressure).
The pool is a great place to relax, read, tan, eat and swim. Swim up bar offers a great variety of drinks and food. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Bar and restaurant is also a winner.
Rest rooms are super...
The hotel price is slightly high, the facilities are very old, the room is small, the room is not cleaned during check-in, and there is no disposable toothpaste and toothbrush, which is not very convenient

Clean and basic small room. Good location of hotel near the beach. Not convinced it should be a 4 star hotel when there's not even a 2 pin socket in the bathroom to charge my shaver and the rooms were not serviced for the duration of the stay.
Staff absolutely fantastic. Lovely pool and not too far from town. Unfortunately our power was out from 8am , 9.30 to 1pm for four days due to work carried out. The hotel wasn’t full and earlier notice would have been appreciated regarding the outage’s and the opportunity to change rooms where the power wasn’t disconnected.
Stayed for 5 nights with my partner for our anniversary and had the most amazing time. All of the staff, especially at reception and lagoon bar were so lovely and helpful. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms but it was clean and nice. The pool was beautiful and the continental breakfast was exceptional. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends.
This is a budget price hotel for families set outside of the main town. We had a two bedroom suite which was pleasant in size but needed a little bit of self cleaning upon our arrival. Pool area was disappointing due to it being unclean over the seven day stay. We only saw the Pool being cleaned on our last day this was not good enough. The pool bar was great when open and the breakfast setup was...
All the staff we encountered were friendly, cheerful, warm and helpful which is such a huge plus. The hotel itself is definitely what I would consider a budget / basic hotel (it’s the type of place where if you ask for a late check out they charge you by the hour). We were in Room 48B. It was bright and clean but so tiny that it was hard for two people to walk past each other (one had to turn to the...

Very friendly, helpful and super approachable staff who gave great advise and recommendations. The property was very clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay!! 😊😍😊
Great apartment for family. Reception staff. Ery helpful at recommending activities for us and the pool was fantastic
We really enjoyed our stay and the three bedroom option was perfect for our family. The kids loved the pool and our private plunge pool right next to the glass window was perfect for close supervision if the kids wanted to swim while dinner was being made.
We had the pleasure of staying in one of Pool's 3 bedroom apartments. The unit is a home away from home (with some added luxuries). My family were amazed by the size of the unit and the modern feel. The pool at the complex is to say the least 'first class'. The property manager is absolutely lovely as well.

Excellent place with an open & spacious layout & a wonderful location. We had a 3 BDR w balcony unit & it was wonderful. Bedrooms clean & spacious. Bathrooms very clean. Entire unit is very modern w all amenities available. Huge balcony facing Macrossan, which was very very nice. Very close to restaurants & the beach, as such super convenient. Reception was helpful as needed.
Beautifully appointed apartment. We stayed here for 6 nights, fantastic location, very well appointed, very specious and had everything you would ever need. Thoroughly recommended and for us was a wonderful end to our 7 weeks in Australia
Amazing - must stay here.
Amazing stay and super friendly staff / owner. Rooms were massive, clean and had all the amenities you could want. The location was perfect. Parking underground on site was really helpful. Highly recommend.
This place is AMAZING… the best place in Port Douglas. Great location, amenities and the staff is awesome. Perfect place to hang out, grill, deck, and lovely spaces!!!! Beautifully decorated- and pristine grounds with gardens and sitting areas, hot tubs, pools, waterfalls- stunning. Don’t stay anywhere else. This is THE PLACE. Don't really want to let the secret out but Ohhhhh, I rate this place to stay in Port Douglas! Our gorgeous host Ally made us so welcome on arrival and from then on it only got better. we stayed in the Penthouse and it was worth every cent. Looking forward to going back!
We booked through Trailfinders recommendation. Superb apartment with pool. Very well equipped and a lovely seafood restaurant just outside in the Main Street. Very helpful reception team and the place is immaculate. What’s not to love.

Awesome hotel locales just out of Port Douglas
However has awesome facilities and friendly staff
Comfortable bedding, liked that it was self contained with washing machine and kitchen containing Nespresso machine. Was able to get a Woolworths food delivery to the resort too.
Disappointing service
We arrived at about 4.30pm. Disappointingly reception was closed & manned remotely. This was fine for access to rooms but we'd planned to talk to reception staff about trip bookings etc. as per the service offered in various promotional material. The remote service operator wasn't able
Otherwise accomodation satisfactory
Staff were very friendly, professional and vip room upgrade was wonderful. Great location
We enjoyed the stay and the foxtel too. The swimming pool was just outside our door and we purchased some salad and steak and used the electric bbq then sat on our veranda eating our dinner.

The location is terrific - easy walking distance to all attractions in Port Douglas. The Bali feel is also good.
Beautiful pools and spa's, great size and clean rooms perfect location for a great relaxing holiday.
Loved the vibe of the place, had a very Bali feel to it. The pools were both great and the staff were all very friendly.
Edit: I post anonymously. This review is 100% accurate.
Lovely hotel, I love the room very spacious. The staff aren’t the friendliest bunch however I’m not here to get to know them so fair play. The two pool facilities are really nice though great for families especially as there are many pool toys and sun loungers. The hotel is very pretty and has a tropical vibe to it along with decent BBQ facilities
My partner and I recently stayed at the Hibiscus. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. From the moment we booked until after we departed we had nothing but the best support and communication from the Hibiscus team! The location was perfectly situated walking distance from everything. We would definitely recommend this accomodation to our friends. :)
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hibiscus. The pools were fantastic especially the lap pool in the back. The location was perfect and very quiet. I loved the whole Balinese setting. The grounds, statues and plants were all very relaxing and tranquil. Issues with the keycards constantly. No reception after 5pm which seems quite early. Other than that, a good location.
Great location, great staff and facilities
Very comfortable spacious apartment. Easy to walk to everything in the town. Great place.
Service was excellent and amenities were excellent also very close to everything.
We stayed as a couple in late December, just after Christmas. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the shared swimming pool area on the ground floor. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the lovely reception staff, who showed us the room details. The room featured a spa tub on the balcony, which we enjoyed. However, the hotel itself felt a bit outdated and old-fashioned. While the room was...

I’ve just had my second stay and love staying at Shantara. I would choose to stay there time and time again. The rooms are basic but that’s reflected in the pricing and you have most things you need. I have never had any issues with other guests ruining the peace and quite for everyone else. Thanks for having us!
Walking distance to everything, relaxing, tranquil experience. The staff where great, very friendly and accommodating.
I stayed here a couple of years ago with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I paid for a room with direct access to the pool. Unfortunately we had to move rooms as the aircon was not working. The room we moved to was clean and modern but the walls aren’t very thick. We constantly heard someone walking back and forth in the apartment above us.
The pool was dirty. So much so that someone...
In theory Shantara is good. Location is great, has a pool and spa, is adults only, and has lovely pool access rooms.
The reception staff are lovely but they work very limited hours so people do what they want. They “trust people to make good choices” ie the pool has no hours, bbq area is always open, as is the shared laundry between rooms.
Our reality, after paying for the most expensive room (Shantara...
I think adults truly do understand and respect the value of peace and quiet. There was minimal need to have to pick up a phone and request any kind of service because it was all there. Recommend for anyone who wants to avoid crowds, and happy to be self-sufficient. The rooms are well appointed, functional and clean. If you’re happy to avoid big expensive breakfast buffets and people everywhere, a few...

We had a fabulous time at The Regal Port Douglas. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and had everything you needed in it. Definitely come back again .
Regal is a good deal
We enjoyed it stay at the Regal. The grill was great, the room had nice amenities tho sharper knives would be great. The Regal is nicely located in all directions. Thanks for the nice stay. Really loved Port Douglas and wished we had more time there. Parking was great and the hot tub looked kind of dirty
The site was on the main street walking distance to all areas and nice and quiet. Managers were very helpful. A good place to stay.
Had a great stay. In an ideal world it would have been better to have the toilet in a separate room, given the generous size of the rooms, but a minor point really. Would stay here again without hesitation
Good proximity to 4 mile beach and the centre of town. Room was spacious and comfortable. Nice pool and outdoor facilities as well. Team were very friendly and nice!
Spacious room with great outdoor area and access to walkable dining and shopping areas. Only drawback was we were on the 3rd floor and had a lot of luggage and they did not have an elevator. Otherwise, everything was great.

I'm writing on behalf of my grandparents, because they wanted to leave a review, but can't use google.
We have been staying at Reef Club Resort for 17 years, and during the past 8 years, while Lea and Joe have been managing the Reef Club. They have been very caring, and have met all our needs. We will return next year!
Problems with phone check-in. Not recommended if you are not confident in English. I couldn't hear him and asked him to repeat several times, he sighed in frustration and suddenly hung up the phone. I admit my English was poor, but he was irresponsible. What was he thinking? I felt very sad. If you are a tourist from a non-English speaking country, I don't recommend this place.
Excellent stay at this apartment which had all the amenities we needed. Close to centre of port douglas and 4 mile beach. Would highly recommend
The staff were friendly and helpful, check in was easy and we were given a high chair for the baby. The room was really nice and big and a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was beautiful and warm. The hotel is so close to the beach and offer toys for the kids to borrow.
The only downsides are there is no lift so we had to get all our suitcases up and down 3 flights of stairs, and we did not fit...
The property was in a good position, close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops.
The reception staff were helpful and friendly.
The pool and garden area were well maintained.
Unfortunately our apartment was near the main road, so there was a lot of traffic noise.
Also the bathroom needed an upgrade, the photos on the website were quite misleading.

Great location in the centre of Port Douglas. Clean and well appointed room with direct pool access. Two pools to choose from to relax in the sunshine or cool off with mini spa pool. BBQ facilities in the pool area for use as well.
The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly from start to finish. The room was a good size and in a nice location but it smelled like stale smoke (even though it's meant to be non-smoking) and I was there for 6 nights but they don't even change your towels or do a light tidy unless you'd like to pay extra. We had a lovely stay. The staff were excellent and the services were professional. However, the property was a little tired. Amazing location. Staff were amazing
Perfect location in the heart of PD, parked the car in their off-street parking and didn'tneed it again until we left.
Self contained apartment gave us the ability to self cater. Balcony looking over Macrossen Street gave us plenty of entertainment people-watching when we weren't out and about ourselves.
Great location, close to restaurants, cafes, shops and the beach. We may have missed the information about there not being an elevator, but would have appreciated knowing in advance.
We were emailed about access to our room keys as staff was not available when we arrived. Room was spacious and conveniently located. Only issue is there is no lift and with 2 or 3 flights is a pain dragging luggage up the stairs
Centrally located. Can walk to shops, restaurants, the beach and the marina.

My wife and I spent 5 days at this beautiful resort.
Complex is huge with expansive grounds, lots of pools and activities available. Location is very good, in close proximity to Port Douglas with an ever available taxi service.

The environment is really beautiful. The facilities are relatively old. The rooms on the first floor are relatively damp. The restaurant in the hotel is also delicious. Overall, it is still recommended if you are here for vacation.
We stayed here for 3 nights in May and had a mixed experience. The standout was the pool bar team - friendly, efficient, and serving excellent cocktails. The main lagoon pool is stunning and a real highlight of the resort. However, check-in was slow and unnecessarily complicated, and breakfast service was confusing with staff asking multiple questions about our room rate and inclusions instead of simply...
I was really surprised coming here. The rooms are ok but the bathrooms are not like the renovated photos online. In terms of cleanliness, the whole hotel is not at its best. Good value with all the amenities you need.
The lagoon pool was amazing. The cafes, restaurants and clubs we're all close; as was the beach. Our unit was huge and planned out well with the 2 bedrooms at separate ends, large kitchen, laundry and 2 bathrooms. Very clean.
Great relaxed place, great value, management very friendly & helpful.

Love the location, the resort has undercover parking thats secure. The apartment is large, cable TV,air-conditioning and fan, good sized bathroom with washer and dryer, extremely large balcony. Definitely will come back.
Nice clean unit with laundry and air con in lounge room only, however noisy at night with sprinklers turning on outside at 11pm and then a bit louder about 1/2hr later, single bed mattresses were quite uncomfortable(too hard) and rooms too hot despite overhead fans and I slept on lounge whole week.
