The staff was really helpful and friendly. And the pool was amazing!

The resort is beautiful. I particularly liked having a private pool and outdoor area. The main pool is stunning. There was a very nice relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort.

Enjoyed an amazing 7 night stay in a two bedroom apartment with my Adventure All Stars team. Loved the generous size, luxurious rooms & the massive pool was beautiful!!! The resort leads straight onto the beach which was the perfect way to start the day with a morning walk. Will definitely be back. Thanks for your hospitality!

Amazing from start to end. Greeted by happy staff at reception, glass of bubbles while we checked in. Room was spacious, well appointed and a comfortable bed. The jacuzzi and BBQ on the roof was perfect to relax in private. Great location just out of the main area, beach access to an almost empty beach. We didn't want to leave!

Stunning location and beautiful venue! We stayed for 5 nights in the 2 bedroom apartment with plunge pool and it was HEAVEN. Beautiful rooms, great facilities and overall just stunning. The big pool in the middle of the resort was fun to swim around and we loved the swim up bar. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

For anyone that has negative things to say about this place obviously take advantage of their privileges and have expectations that cannot be met. The sea temple was amazing. Great place ! We went during monsoon season’ so it rained a lot whilst we where there (don’t go in Jan -February ) otherwise the staff were friendly, the rooms were immaculate, some condensation which comes naturally after rain.

We stayed here for 4 nights on holidays, the resort was clean and tidy. We had a fast check in after a long day of travelling. The rooms were a little smaller then anticipated, but we made it work ( 2 adults 2 single beds). Pool was nice and good temperature, swim up bar was great too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Shout out to two staff in particular, Cam and the younger lady with the tats...

Overall the rooms and resort was good. Staff friendly enough, rooms clean and the pool area looks great. However we were very shocked to find cocktails stop at 4.30 and there is no “happy hour” around the pool. We got in the pool at 4.35 swam straight up to the bar to order and told cocktails stopped at 4.30…. We were very shocked and annoyed as we only got in to drink cocktails at the swim up bar

Staff here welcomed me in a professional friendly manner. Each encounter with staff really set a positive tone for this hotel. My room was comfortable and clean. Lovely grounds, poolside was quiet, lush gardens. Good value for money. The only downside was the cleaning staff often parked their cart outside my doorway.

The facilities and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The room was fantastic and that bed was like a cloud. Wish we'd booked for longer!! We loved the pizza, which is able to be booked online, and the staff were really lovely. Pool bar is awesome and good prices for drinks. The pool is area is good and we were always able to find shade. Lots of good spots for children to enter and exit the water safely...

Everything was exceptional. The landscaped gardens were beautiful. The villa was comfortable and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly, polite and obliging. Having my own pool was great.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights for the whole family. The villa is absolutely amazing. Private pool, open plan living, and very nice tropical garden design. It’s the best experience we’ve ever had. Food and drinks are very tasty in the bar and lounge. Massage at the spa is a must try. We have been here twice and it’s so tranquil. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s ideal if you value your privacy as each Villa is completely self contained and secluded against rain forest surroundings. Grand is a good word for this hotel. massive pool so lots of swimming opportunities. What sells this place is the massive pools, cabanas and spending the days by the massive pools relaxing. Could do this every day. Lovely quiet resort with excellent facilities. Our second floor room overlooking one of the pools was perfect, and gave us the privacy we craved, which the ground floor rooms next to the pool lacked. Fantastic day spa run by Nicole, who is an excellent therapist. Very close to the beach and the heartbeat of Port Douglas, Macrossan Street. No screaming kids either. Perfection.

Nice and fast check-in. The receptionist was great, he was very helpful and a nice guy. We stayed there for 5 days, our room was big, bed is comfy, private kitchen, small balcony but can open the door to enjoy the sea air. We had a great holiday there. Highly recommend 👌

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it continues to be a lovely place to stay. The breakfast area is much nicer now it is opposite the beach. Breakfast selections are good. You get what you pay for! The room was basic & cheap enough for the night. Didn't interact with the staff so cannot comment on the service. Unfortunately our room was quite dirty. The fans were dusty & the aircon filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Due to that we wouldn't stay here again.

Lovely fun accommodation in Port Douglas. The villas have a nice big private courtyard with a hammock. The beds were comfy and the room came with lots of little touches to make our stay extra comfy, like sarongs, beach towels and bug spray. Beautiful quiet rooms with all the amenities we needed to have a fantastic time. We were able to cook our own meals, relax by the pool and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Marley the dog was super cute! All the other guests were lovely and we felt secluded despite the central location. Having a hot bath in the pouring rain was a highlight, I haven’t been that relaxed in years!

Highly recommend! My wife, 2 kids and I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool in January 2023 and we didn't want to leave. Rodney and Glenys who manage the place were lovely. Well air-conditioned with fans too, big pool and lounge area and the location is perfect for families.

Great location. We took our 3 teenage grandchildren for 10 nights in 2018. They didn't want to leave, actually none of us wanted to leave. We had a hire car and rearly needed to use it. We hired the onsite mopeds a couple of times and had a ball. Room was clean and spacious and the pool was beautiful. Really hoping to get back to Central Plaza in 2023.

Edit: I post anonymously. This review is 100% accurate. Lovely hotel, I love the room very spacious. The staff aren’t the friendliest bunch however I’m not here to get to know them so fair play. The two pool facilities are really nice though great for families especially as there are many pool toys and sun loungers. The hotel is very pretty and has a tropical vibe to it along with decent BBQ facilities

My partner and I recently stayed at the Hibiscus. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. From the moment we booked until after we departed we had nothing but the best support and communication from the Hibiscus team! The location was perfectly situated walking distance from everything. We recently stayed at Tropical Nites for the second time and have booked again for next year! Very handy to walk everywhere local, well appointed units and very clean. Plenty of room outside so you don’t feel closed in. Lovely pool and barbecue area. Mel and Andy are delightful hosts and very helpful!

Great location in the centre of Port Douglas. Clean and well appointed room with direct pool access. Two pools to choose from to relax in the sunshine or cool off with mini spa pool. BBQ facilities in the pool area for use as well.

The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly from start to finish. The room was a good size and in a nice location but it smelled like stale smoke (even though it's meant to be non-smoking) and I was there for 6 nights but they don't even change your towels or do a light tidy unless you'd like to pay extra. I can understand not expecting a clean everyday but 6 nights should be sufficient to get one...

Just returned from our fabulous Port Douglas holiday. We stayed at the Heritage for 8 nights-the staff were outstanding (especially Chantelle) nothing was ever too difficult! Yes the room was a little out dated- needs re furbishing, but it was a fabulous location. Close to all amenities. Would highly recommend this place :)

Low cost resort for a reason. The restaurant food is very overpriced for what it is, if your gonna charge prices like that at least improve the food. Burger was rubbish and $14 for a small bowl of steamed greens? The daily room clean & service is very poor, just run the vacuum over the floors and put the correct sheets on the bed so they actually fit. Was also given the wrong room number initially...

We had the most wonderful stay here! Everything was super clean, service was great, staff was super warm and friendly and the pool is super nice! The beds were SO comfortable!! Close to amenities and the beach and all of that for such a great price! Would always stay again!

The room itself was beautiful. However, it was terribly cleaned. There is so much dust on the fans, under the bed, and food splatter still visible in the kitchen. Also a very noisy place to stay and don't recommend staying with children due to the noise and no elevator.

Quiet place with good size room. Dated. You wouldn't spend time at the pool as it is boxed in around surrounding businesses. No lift and the luggage elevator is dodgy to say the least. Receptionist bolted as soon as we checked in. On the plus it is walking distance to most places. Would certainly not recommend if you don't like stairs.

Very central to Port Douglas with large and spacious rooms that have dated. The pool area only gets a small amount of shade in the late afternoon. You would have more luck finding “Where’s Wally” than a staff member on-site. If you want to stay close to the beach, this is the place for you. Literally only a 2 minute stroll to the beach! The resort had lots of things to borrow for free too, including gym equipment, trolleys, sand toys, board games and DVDs. We particularly loved the art work in our room. We were absolutely blown away by this hotel. Not only was the location great but it had everything we could Possibly want or need and more. It was so clean and so comfortable. Loved staying at by the sea, great room with everything you need (bathroom, kitchenette balcony). Fantastic location, few steps to the beach and very short stroll to restaurants/shops. I’ve stayed at a few different places in Port Douglas, and I have to say, I really enjoyed staying here! It was a great price and walking distance to everything. The room was clean and homely, and staff was super friendly. We’ll definitely be staying again!

Very comfortable, staff attentive and helpful in booking process, love the pool. It was quiet on a weekday getaway (Sunday-Friday). Good supply of basics in kitchenette, a community kitchen allows more cooking options. Would book again!

This motel far exceeded my expectations. Even though our stay was sort it sure was sweet! It was a very quirky hotel filled with colour everywhere including the murals on the walls by the pool. Rooms are full of colour and funny retro. Very very clean and tidy spacious room. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Would totally recommend a stay here. You will love it 👍

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit friends. What a little gem, very clean room, nice clean sheets and decent towels. The retro feel of the rooms made a pleasant change from the normal bland hotel rooms, and only a minutes walk from Macrossen St. Highly recommended.
