Kamengrad Hotel & SPA

Very good experience, rooms and lobby area have been fully renovated in 2024 and is now much much better than before. Nice beds, bathrooms, TV (and its software/media). Breakfast and dinner were OK for the price, nothing exceptional but good enough to be good value. Hotel is right at the center of the town with super nice park with fountains behind and main town plaza in front. Pool area was great.

My main complaints despite the good grade: new doors are hard to open when opening with card (they are aware of the issue, hopefully they can fix it somehow, not a problem for me but may be for females), drinks quality has to be better - both mojito and lemonade were much more bitter than they should be, WiFi coverage and speed should be improved (thankfully excellent 5G coverage so not a big problem for most people).

Great location in the center of the city. Kind service - people working there always trying to help you. Breakfast has a good variety of options.

Still hotel needs renovation for its 4-stars. A group of rooms has grils on the windows, so you can feel like in jail or in an ex-administration building. Assuming this prevents windows to be cleaned frequently or to install mosquito nets. Underground parking is partially filled with unused stuff from the hotel and sometimes the automatic door jams.
Was astonished when asked the SPA for the offered massages on Friday - to be forwarded to check again next week on Monday - assume the only one person to serve these was absent.
The main pool (25 m, 5 corridors) is good for swimming, when there are no organized groups. Still you need to rely on your own timer, as the one on the wall is not always working.

This is THE Hotel in Panagyurishte. It's very old, but renovated and very well maintained. It seems that they are constantly upgrading it and even now they are building an additional expansion.

This hotel is focused on spa services. They have indoor and outdoor pools and they offer big variety of spa services. However, the lady with the big fake lips at the spa reception is impolite, arrogant and not present when you need her. She sticks like a sore thumb and gives this hotel a bad impression. She doesn't seem to be very keen on dealing with customers, to say the least.

Some of the rooms are huge. And when I say huge, I mean it. They don't build them like this anymore. One of the double rooms we booked was like a football field. It's quite impressive. No problems with the bathroom or anything whatsoever.

The single small room facing the marketplace, however, was a totally different experience. It was full with mosquitoes which I spent the whole night trying to kill, and once I managed to kill the last one, it was 6:30 in the morning. I have no idea where all these mosquitoes were coming from - I closed the window immediately after I checked in - but it was a horrible night. They must take some serious measures against these mosquitoes. In the double room facing the square, there were no mosquitoes at all.

Generally this hotel is recommended, with the caveats I mentioned above.

Excellent pools (one swimming, one for leisure), jacuzzi, tennis courts. Appartements are decent, no kitchen s though. Decently quiet. Breakfast is good.

Lovely place and very kind personnel. Would love to be back again!

With a few minor issues this hotel can easily be recommended with his pools and SPA facilities. One minor issue is that the mineral water in the pools should be way warmer then it is.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and the room was spacious. We tried the spa centre and the outdoor pool and overall we were very satisfied with both of them.
