Velingrand: A quiet town that offers nothing besides some taverns/restaurants and small shops.Dont visit if you are looking to have fun. NOT recommended for young people!
Hotel: Generally a nice hotel. Staff is professional. However indoor SPA pools are outdated and need to be modernized.
Also, there arent many activities to do; They could at least arrange for a walk in the park or music events.
Dont go there if you are too active.Go there to isolate from everything
The facility is outdated, dirty/smelly carpets, leaking bathrooms, not working jacuzzis, etc.
About the food and restaurants - Avoid packages with dinner, monotonous and mostly unrecognizable casseroles. wilted fruit and salads with flies everywhere. I’m doubtful about the freshness and hygiene. Shortage of cutlery, dirty plates and midges everywhere. Breakfast is manageable.
About the spa - Small kids was entering the spa facilities ( despite the sign “not allowed under 12). Talking loudly and distracting. Roasting and peeling off edges all over. Half of the buttons and jacuzzis was not working.
About rooms - The room we got, for first time ever!, at the end of the hotel, facing warehouses and garbage. They call it “deluxe” and charged me higher. All the rooms are the same in this hotel (+/- 1-2 meters more space), so there is nothing like “standard” or “deluxe”. Carpet was dirty and smelly, old funny design. AC was not working properly. Blowing air, but not cooling. The safe was not working. Half of the lamps, not working. The bathroom was leaking from everywhere and making it difficult to use after shower.
