The Westin Edmonton
Edmonton, 10135 100 St Nw 🧭 Map
Great place. The lobby smells great front desk are a bunch of professionals and kind people!! Literally all of them are super nice! The room though I wasn’t expecting that at all, it wasn’t that great the carpet was dirty and the room smelled like an old retirement home which I didn’t like however the location made it all worth it at the end. overall
I’ve stayed here for conventions many years and have not seen too much change. The rooms are spacious and some views are better than others. The food is good there are also lots of restaurants in the area if you choose not to eat in the hotel. The gym and pool area is loaded with everything you need, water, headphones and towels. The sauna is small but still great. Parking is a bit tight. I’ve always...
Parking underneath was extremely tight. the beds were creaky and the pillows were way too big without an option for a smaller pillow. Bathroom could’ve been cleaner. Being right downtown Edmonton is great for conferences.
Atrtended Gala on Saturday and from arrival to departure Service Top shelf, A special thank you Tameka in events , Being an event planner myself in hotel -hospitality industry she was amazing at answering questions , welcoming Directing and ensuring all were taken care of The front desk staff So welcoming friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are exactly what you'd expect from a Marriott brand...
I run a DJ company in Edmonton called Market Sound Entertainment. We do a lot of events around Edmonton so I know the hotel scene very well. I can tell you that the Westin is wonderful to deal with.
The location couldn’t be better and they are very accommodating when it comes to helping you plan the perfect wedding or corporate party. The staff is super friendly and eager to help if you need anything...
Excellent Service at the Share restaurant, awesome food! The bed was so comfortable, wow.

Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel by APA
Edmonton, 10155 105th Street 🧭 Map
Was put on a pet friendly floor. No problem with that except the fact that our room reeked of someone’s pet. Not only did it smell like several dogs stayed here it appeared that way as well. Pet hair fills the carpets, as well as our nose. We found it difficult to cope with the smell even with the window let open for the entire duration of our stay. I am not one to complain but this is truly disappointing
This is a great location if you’re looking to check out the downtown Edmonton area, it’s very accessible and accommodating to the ICE District and Roger’s place and only a few stops away by train from Commonwealth Stadium. Unfortunately there was construction everywhere when I visited but this is not something Coast has any control over. Check-in service was quick and easy. All the counter staff were...
Location was excellent, but everything else was mediocre. Housekeeping came the second day and emptied the garbages, but didn’t make our bed. We never saw them for the rest of the trip. We had to ask for towels on our last day. The bathroom needs better lighting and a nicer shower. The pool is lacklustre and the ceiling was leaking liquid into the pool. Bed was comfortable and Toto bidet was a nice...
I have never been disappointed with my experience at this hotel.
They have an excellent understanding of who is staying with them, and an excellent understanding of why (events in the city-wise) their guests are staying.
Their staff is all so genuine and kind to all. It’s always a very smooth check-in.
Day & night staff (concierge and maintenance) are so awesome.
Rooms are clean and comfy, amenities...
The room was very clean as were the linen. The staff was very accommodating and made you feel like you were welcome and not just a room number. The parking was adequate. The room had a bidet and that was really a pleasant surprice, also the seat was heated so that was nice. Overall it was a great experience.
The room was great but they did not have certain things already in place, though you could request most things and they will have it delivered for you.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Edmonton
Edmonton, 16615 109th Ave 🧭 Map
I want to sincerely thank Double Tree Hotel and staff for providing us their conference room space for The Menopause Mission event on October 20. The staff went above and beyond to make this event a success. I would highly recommend any organization and or business to use this facility and am certain you won’t be disappointed!
I had the pleasure of attending a women's event, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel went above and beyond to create an atmosphere that was both empowering and elegant, perfectly suited for the occasion. The event planning team clearly understood the vision for a female-centric event, ensuring every detail aligned with the theme.
The event space itself was beautifully decorated with...
Good venue for a conference. The food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly/efficient. Rest rooms could have been maintained better. This surprised me a bit for a Hilton. There is lots of space for parking and it's nice to attend a hotel that's not downtown. Getting to and from the hotel from other sides of the city takes time, but just factor that in if you are not staying at the hotel.
Overall nice hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. My only negatives are that my pillows were pretty terrible and I wish the TVs were smart so I could have logged into something for streaming. Breakfast buffet is hands down best I've had at a hotel. The warm cookies are reception is a nice touch. I would definitely consider returning.
This place has everything you need and is a few minutes from everywhere. The pool and fitness room are west of the restaurant, AND THEY HAVE CHANGE ROOMS! No need to go down in skivvies, though I suppose that adds to the resort feel of the hotel. Ample parking. Great in between the Science Centre and West Ed Mall. I'll go again and probably stay here. If hotel staff are reading: please make the fitness...
We loved our room. The facilities and what they have to offer. The breakfast was amazing we really enjoyed it.

Radisson Hotel Edmonton South
Edmonton, 4440 Gateway Boulevard 🧭 Map
Have stayed here multiple times when in Edmonton and the service has been exceptionally phenomenal from the front desk staff to the house keeping staff. A special shout out to the lions head pub and their staff for being so memorable and regular, making coming back feel like home. Definitely five star rating!
Clean rooms, a bit dated but comfy and quiet. The pool area is down in basement level 2, so very far from rooms. Felt very weird down there, no staff, some crumbling structures. Hot tub was under construction and torn apart. Hotel is a good location and affordable, but don't go for the pool.
Stayed last night and my check in was a little bit complicated (on my end). The gentleman who was assisting me was very professional and patient. He was kind the whole way through. My beautiful room overlooked the atrium and was spacious and cozy. The bed was TO DIE FOR comfy! Five stars here for the accommodations but most especially, the kind staff!
Older hotel/conference centre centrally located so easy access for people from all over the city which is nice, what is not as nice is parking is limited and signage for what was allowed and when was confusing, also as I attended an event here directions to the area where the event was occurring were not clear and we thought we had been given bad directions before we happened to find the space. The...
Attending a conference and food was pretty decent but could have had better vegetarian options. Pretty dim, dusty and dank being in the basement ballroom for a full day but I guess that can't be helped. Staff were great, attentive and helpful. Parking was really easy.
The conference facilities are very nice. The room we hired for our meeting was nicely required and everything was working. Nice selection of snacks and the washrooms eye clean. Good job!

Fairmont Hotel Macdonald
Edmonton, 10065 100 St Nw 🧭 Map
Staff . The brunch was very good and the attention we had from the chef in regard to allergies was very much appreciated. The longe was vey accommodating in allowing our family to be together at numerous times throughout the whole weekend. The whole staff from dining room to lounge and valets were exceptional. Thanks to all of them. It allowed our family from Chicago, Victoria and Alberta to celebrate...
Hotel Macdonald is a beautiful well appointed hotel. As you get closer to the hotel is has the best views. The staff is absolutely incredible. So helpful and engaging. This is definitely the place to stay in the city. I have had the pleasure of visiting the entire collection of Fairmont hotels in Canada and this was the last one. I definitely saved this best experience for last! I can’t wait for my...
We went for a private event (a birthday party) and stayed for one night. The staff was very friendly and professional, both at the event and next morning at the restaurant for brunch. The buffet was amazingly good, with a lot of options. Kudos to our waitresses Corina, Yasmin and Claudia!
Brunch at the Empire Ballroom is the best in the city. There is no comparison. The seafood assortment is by far ahead of any other brunch in YEG. And the assortment is all exceptional quality. Service, as well, is top notch. You will pay a high price though to dine here. And reservations need to be booked well in advance. But for any special occasion, there is no better brunch I know of.
Great historic old world charm. I enjoyed the pool and Christmas decor. One of the main restaurants was closed as a result of Covid I assume. The location downtown is perfect. Close to the museum and NHL stadium. The parking location is a shared one and shows its age. Hard to navigate into and walk from. Needed a punch code to exit but was not provided one. At $ 40 a day it's quite steep. My bill came...
High tea in the Harvest Room was lovely! The food was delicious (scones were TDF!) and our server, Jacob, was the sweetest human ever—attentive and kind. He surprised all of us by bringing out a piece of cake with candles for our friends’ birthday and even volunteered to take our picture. Highly recommend for a special event! The views from the terrace just outside the dining room are spectacular.

Sandman Signature Edmonton South Hotel
Edmonton, 10111 Ellerslie Road South West 🧭 Map
This location was convenient for us. Easy to get around. Room was wonderful and like the fact that there were two restaurants on site.
Parking lot was incredibly busy and hard to navigate. Too many Denny’s and Chop customers parking directly in front of the hotel. Consider restaurant parking and hotel parking differentiation?
The front desk clerks were amazing and the hotel is well run with great dining at Chop. The only issue was road noise in the night so we had to use ear plugs!
Convenient for South Edmonton Common area. Pool is a bit underwhelming for the kids.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were great. However, my husband and I got a Jacuzzi room and the countertops were stained beat up had water damage rings. I mean overall the room looked nice until you started looking at things that were damaged and beat up so it kind of blows my mind that $308 for this room a night. However overall was good.
I make it a point to stay at a Sandman Signature when I travel and I am never disappointed with the rooms or service. This stay however one front desk employee, Anna, went above and beyond to ensure a minor mistake that was made on check in was taken care of quickly and professionally. Thank you for taking such good care of your guests Anna!

Matrix Hotel
Edmonton, 10640 100 Avenue NW 🧭 Map
Checked in on June 26, 2024. The hotel entrance is not very conspicuous, and the lobby is not gorgeous. It is much more low-key than the imagined four-star hotel, but the room layout (except the bed), sanitary facilities, corridor environment, sound insulation effect... are still quite good, in line with the four-star standard. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and a safe, but there is no microwave...
Tried to charge me extra for parking. Wasn’t entirely amused with that but they eventually removed it.
Very comfortable, nice design, and a very good breakfast
My daughter and I stayed here last weekend and it was fabulous. Very clean, modern hotel with the best breakfast buffet ever (at no extra cost!). Family friendly and comfortable. The walls were a little thin so you could hear toilets flushing and sometimes people talking but that part didn’t bother us as people around us were quiet. The breakfast was the highlight for sure for us. Staff were very helpful...
Staff have been friendly and accommodating all trip. Rooms are clean, well kept, and the complimentary breakfast is amazing. A very huge shout out to Lauren at the front desk. I had a hypoglycemic episode and ran out of glucose tabs. She bought me candy, wanting nothing in return, just to know that I was going to be okay. She checked on me as I came in the next day. Lauren, you helped me feel safe...
Lovely stay in downtown Edmonton, close to the Oilers home ice. Breakfast is a must have. Beautiful buffet with something for everyone, including an espresso and cappuccino machine for a nice coffee break.
Hotel room with accommodations was on the small side, but with only a double bed, there was plenty of room for me and my walker.
The washroom could use better and more bar locations for safety...

Metterra Hotel on Whyte
Edmonton, 10454 82 Avenue 🧭 Map
Got upgraded to a suite, which was nice and had great views of the city. I think because they’re renovating certain floors? But I booked a room with a balcony and this room did not come with one. Service was great.
Staff were helpful and friendly right off the bat (with parking). The helpfulness continued when we asked for something to be brought up to our room. It was done immediately and with a smile on their face. We really enjoyed the wine tasting and delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend!
Room was lovely, staff communication was severely lacking. Valet was great. We stayed for one night, they informed us of fire alarm testing the next day between 11 and 5. We asked front desk what time they would need to enter the room, the gentleman said after 12. Also paid 30$ for 4PM checkout.
Next morning, fire alarms start testing at 930, not 11.
Maintenance worker knocks at 1030, not after noon...
Just overall excellence. From checkin, valet staff, breakfast staff, and happy hour everybody went out of their way to help. I'm from Florida and face colder temperature challenges. The staff provided two blankets to make sure I was warm.
Also, the view from our room was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in our room with a glass of wine looking at the views.
Service at it's best...
Excellent location, clean and comfortable room facilities
Excellent hotel. Well managed and with a courteous staff. Our room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast is very decent. Our room faced away from Whyte avenue which made for a quiet experience. We would stay there again! Complementary wine tasting is a nice touch! We will be back!

Varscona Hotel on Whyte
Edmonton, 8208 106 Street 🧭 Map
Nice clean, small hotel. Good location for tournaments at university. Great Irish pub next door.
Pretty disappointed with this last visit on the weekend. Have stayed here many times but this time was a bit different. As we had to check out very early the next morning to catch a flight, we were going to miss the free breakfast included in the price of the room. Asked the front desk agent if there was anything they could do and, displaying absolutely zero effort, said "unfortunately, no". Even a...
Fantastic location. Whyte avenue may be the most fun street in Alberta, and I am a Calgary man, typically biased against Edmonton but you cannot deny how fun this street is. The hotel itself is awesome too. Great price and everything was clean and well taken care of despite being a cool older building. I guess I wish there was a pool. Maybe they'll build one someday.
Attended a work meeting here in their conference room. The room was kinda small for how many tables they tried to squeeze into the front. Otherwise, It was pretty nice.
Food at these types of hotels can be mixed, but the food served was very high quality and tasted amazing. I wish I had gotten up for seconds.
If your meeting is for a small ish group of like 15-30 would recommend.
Wonderful, clean hotel that's close to all the action of Whyte Ave. Complimentary parking and breakfast were a great perk and they even let us bring our dog for a full family vacation! It even has a bike lane one the street out front for access to the amazing area. Will be staying again!
Came around Christmas time. Stayed one night. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy but it is very well maintained. There’s a nice fireplace in the lobby and a cozy seating area. The staff are friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained. It’s on whyte street so very close to tons of shops and restaurants.
