Sandman Signature Edmonton Downtown Hotel, Edmonton1 / 12
Edmonton, 10235 101 Street 🧭 Map
Comfy beds, quiet room, and staff was very lovely. Bathroom was a decent size and showers were good. We were only there for one night, but overall it was a great location to walk to Rogers Place!
I stayed at the luxury suite and it had so much space and had a living room and dining room. It also had a great breakfast buffet and chop steakhouse was wonderful. I love their prime rib. The pool was also phenomenal. But the views where to die for.
Stayed here 4 nights for an event at Roger’s place. The location is great for that - connected with an above ground walkway right to Roger’s place - connected to the Edmonton Center Mall and other amenities. Service was good. The room was ok - it was clean but if feels like could use an update -Tv cabinet was a bit beat up , the mini fridge was missing a leg - so I had to prop a face cloth under it...
It is my pleasure to comment on my wonderful experience at this hotel. My apartment building had a fire and we all had to be out permanently. As a result I stayed at the hotel for 1 1/2 months. To make the situation more challenging I'm also disabled with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The hotel was a fabulous place to live during this difficult time. I found everyone who worked there to be top notch...
Previously known as Sutton Place, the Sandman Suites is priced very competitively. When all Marriott properties were $250+, this property provided good respite. The rooms are clean and service is great. Water bottles, room service and normal pillows are available on demand. The hotel provided pillows are rough on the neck and very uncomfortable. My bed squeaked as you turned around on your back to...
I liked that there was a fan that I could turn on at night for white noise. The shower was good and the decor was beautiful.

Have stayed here multiple times when in Edmonton and the service has been exceptionally phenomenal from the front desk staff to the house keeping staff. A special shout out to the lions head pub and their staff for being so memorable and regular, making coming back feel like home. Definitely five star rating!
Clean rooms, a bit dated but comfy and quiet. The pool area is down in basement level 2, so very far from rooms. Felt very weird down there, no staff, some crumbling structures. Hot tub was under construction and torn apart. Hotel is a good location and affordable, but don't go for the pool.
Stayed last night and my check in was a little bit complicated (on my end). The gentleman who was assisting me was very professional and patient. He was kind the whole way through. My beautiful room overlooked the atrium and was spacious and cozy. The bed was TO DIE FOR comfy! Five stars here for the accommodations but most especially, the kind staff!
Older hotel/conference centre centrally located so easy access for people from all over the city which is nice, what is not as nice is parking is limited and signage for what was allowed and when was confusing, also as I attended an event here directions to the area where the event was occurring were not clear and we thought we had been given bad directions before we happened to find the space. The...
Attending a conference and food was pretty decent but could have had better vegetarian options. Pretty dim, dusty and dank being in the basement ballroom for a full day but I guess that can't be helped. Staff were great, attentive and helpful. Parking was really easy.
The conference facilities are very nice. The room we hired for our meeting was nicely required and everything was working. Nice selection of snacks and the washrooms eye clean. Good job!

Great place. The lobby smells great front desk are a bunch of professionals and kind people!! Literally all of them are super nice! The room though I wasn’t expecting that at all, it wasn’t that great the carpet was dirty and the room smelled like an old retirement home which I didn’t like however the location made it all worth it at the end. overall
I’ve stayed here for conventions many years and have not seen too much change. The rooms are spacious and some views are better than others. The food is good there are also lots of restaurants in the area if you choose not to eat in the hotel. The gym and pool area is loaded with everything you need, water, headphones and towels. The sauna is small but still great. Parking is a bit tight. I’ve always...
Parking underneath was extremely tight. the beds were creaky and the pillows were way too big without an option for a smaller pillow. Bathroom could’ve been cleaner. Being right downtown Edmonton is great for conferences.

I run a DJ company in Edmonton called Market Sound Entertainment. We do a lot of events around Edmonton so I know the hotel scene very well. I can tell you that the Westin is wonderful to deal with. The location couldn’t be better and they are very accommodating when it comes to helping you plan the perfect wedding or corporate party. The staff is super friendly and eager to help if you need anything...

Very nice place ,brand new !!
Everyone that worked there was very friendly, the man who brought up room service was quick and nice and overall a great experience. The rooms were also very pleasant as well!
Even though the hotel was undergoing some work, the disruptions did not affect me. Great rooms with comfortable beds and massive television. Staff was very courteous and efficient.
They really stepped it up for us. Had a weekend getaway for our anniversary. Front desk girls (Kaycee & Jessica) upgraded our room to a suite. Free breakfast for both days at Cocoa's. Had rose petals on our bed. And even delivered a slice of chocolate cake with a handwritten anniversary note. Above and beyond customer service!!
It's a nice enough hotel. The connection to the mall is bittersweet. There's a convenience factor of having access to shops, restaurants, and a movie theater without having to go outside in the winter. But there are enough vagrants roaming the mall in the evening to make me a little uncomfortable.

Staff was super friendly. Although the hotel is under construction right now, we got an updated room, and it looked great l! There is a pub/restaurant in the hotel, the staff and food were great! Would stay again
Ben was extremely friendly and attentive! He was able to help clear up a misunderstanding about a room rate, and even threw in a complementary breakfast! The rooms were clean and fresh, and the bed was terrific! Will definitely stay here whenever we are in town.
A last-minute reservation due to a scheduling error elsewhere. They accommodated us in a nice room, with the usual good features, cleanliness and staff friendliness. Our go-to hotel in Edmonton. Consistently provides good service.
Check in was a breeze the guys working were very friendly and professional, check out wasn’t as friendly, also it’s a bit of an inconvenience that the credit card deposit reversal could take up to 5 business days or longer depending on your bank. But the rooms are nice, and spacious, the rugs in the rooms are so soft!! however there’s lots of hallway noise though. Very nice hotel otherwise. :) Will...
Returned to find the experience was as great as last time. We were greeted by name and welcomed back enthusiastically. All the staff are very helpful. I always stay here when in Edmonton. Great prices, amazing staff (Ben on front desk is very helpful), and it has a restaurant on site. Recently renovated, clean, and safe. We needed to have some packages shipped for work we were doing on our trip and they took care of them until our arrival. Great guest services. Thanks!

Excellent service, great customer service. The hotel was very clean, and the management was wonderful. Anything we needed it was provided. The kitchen/bar was great as well. Really friendly waitresses and funny! I would like to thank Joanne, especially for her hospitality. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends/family.
Our key cards didn't work so we had to go back to reception to advise, our toilet was malfunctioned (won't flush) so had to call reception again. They left toiletries for one; there was four of us in a single room with two Queen beds; figure the math. Had to bug reception for towels etc. Room is clean but bathroom very worn and dated. And the hair dryer mount fell off the wall but my boyfriend fixed...
We called in a few weeks prior to book two rooms, 1 room with two beds for two people, and another room with 1 bed for 1 person. They just couldn't get it! Great hotel but location is a little sketchy. Upon entry you are given a warm cookie which was fabulous. The rooms are fresh and modern. Would have really enjoyed breakfast included but we went to Denny's.
We rented the meeting room for class, we also stayed at hotel room during class period. This is a new, modern, clean Hilton hotel. Overall, staff are very friendly and willing to help. We'll defiantly come back for business purpose
Great check in experience - front desk manager rocked! Great beard my man! Room is lovely, exactly what we wanted. Negative - $35/night Parking! This is a nice hotel. We had a few challenges, in-room phone didn’t work, room service was challenging to order, but the staff was excellent and went above and beyond to help. I had such a great experience at this hotel. Immediately when walking into our room- it smelt fresh and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, even the pillows smelled clean. The only thing was that on our floor, there were teenagers who were (I assume), walking between each other’s rooms, and I could hear constant doors slamming until about 11:30pm. The walls and doors aren’t very sound...
Very nice and clean. Friendly staff. Check and check out very convenient. They could perhaps get smart tvs in the rooms. Sucks when you can’t rent movies or watch Netflix. Also rooms are not very sound proof. Could hear the jet tub above us running off and on at midnight.
After having stayed at this property and having beyond excellent service, my son and I returned to stay here again from May 24th - June 2nd. This stay was no exception. We went for a private event (a birthday party) and stayed for one night. The staff was very friendly and professional, both at the event and next morning at the restaurant for brunch. The buffet was amazingly good, with a lot of options. Kudos to our waitresses Corina, Yasmin and Claudia!
Brunch at the Empire Ballroom is the best in the city. There is no comparison. The seafood assortment is by far ahead of any other brunch in YEG. And the assortment is all exceptional quality. Service, as well, is top notch. You will pay a high price though to dine here. And reservations need to be booked well in advance. But for any special occasion, there is no better brunch I know of.
Great historic old world charm. I enjoyed the pool and Christmas decor. One of the main restaurants was closed as a result of Covid I assume. The location downtown is perfect. Close to the museum and NHL stadium. The parking location is a shared one and shows its age. Hard to navigate into and walk from. Needed a punch code to exit but was not provided one. High tea in the Harvest Room was lovely! The food was delicious (scones were TDF!) and our server, Jacob, was the sweetest human ever—attentive and kind. My family and I stayed the night of June 23, 2023, and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and new, ans breakfast was delicious. The location was safe and convenient. Our kids and I enjoyed the pool in the morning, too.
We had two nights stay and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The pool area got busy at night. I was able to use the gym once but for a quick workout. The breakfast selection was ok and fresh. I liked the lounge area with the tea/coffee station. The staff was very friendly!
Not a bad place/price for a Hyatt place. Keep in mind they don’t really do room service unless requested and they seem to be only doing express room service. If you don’t drive then surrounding area has nothing much going for it though you can get to the Mall by bus or 30 minute walk. Breakfast is typical and not that special. Very happy with this hotel. Family suite gave us the ability to put the kids down earlier, the microwave and fridge were appreciated. Breakfast was great (and included). The staff served it with options including eggs, Hashbrowns and sausages. Pool was fun and keep in good condition.

Good hotel to stay. Staff is friendly, pool is small but nice. Hot tub is fine. Rooms are clean and enough big, breakfast will make you full with lots of choises. I recommend king room to stay, It has a leather recliner chair. Only thing to need improvement is room heater. It has some noise while it's working. I'll stay again.
Great trip and the pool was fun. Finally learned how to swim there. Room was fine but kinda small and outlets were a problem since there was barely any. I had a great and memorable staying at Chateau Lacombe. It’s a unique and iconic hotel in town. It’s little bit old but they keep it very well. All the staff are very nice and kind specially the Bellman. He is so kind and welcoming! I had a great view from my room. It’s located in downtown Edmonton.
Extremely nice and caring people. Room was clean and temperature was perfect. Coffee amenities hit the spot as well. For a performing musician who played at the star lite down the road they hooked up an excellent deal as well. Highly recommend!

The staff at this hotel are awesome. Very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, at least the ones I've stayed in on the concierge floor. The main floor restaurants however aren't that great. I had the privilege of staying at this Hotel last week. Was welcomed very warmly by the guest service manager Nadia. The rooms were super nice and comfortable. The front desk manager Mr. Scott very calmly and politely assisted me at the time of check out. Nothing less than a 5 star experience.
The service was good and I would actually lean closer to 3 1/2 stars. The room had a faint smell of smoke. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and the counter-tops are terrible. Rooms were nice and our stay was pleasant. Just a few recommendations: 1) The bed sizes of King were small compared to a regular King. We noticed this when we stayed in the 3rd floor. 2) The line up in the breakfast can be avoided if they organize the breakfast area better (people don't have to go back and forth for spoons, jams, toppings) and add another waffle maker.

Edmonton, 10454 82 Avenue 🧭 Map
The front desk host James went above and beyond to help me in my stay. I’m so thankful I was able to get a room last-minute on a game night with most of the city without vacancy. The Met is always a great hotel to stay at - clean, convenient location, professionally staffed, pleasing aesthetic - but James really made the stay for me.
For the rooms, nice size with comfortable beds, if the air conditioner worked it would have been great though, it the internet during our 3 day stay worked it would have been great also, first time in years no microwave in a room. For location, yes lots to do in the area but if you are a light sleeper the hip-hop boom boom goes till 1am every night. Used the valet parking, when I asked to be called...
My sisters and I spent 4 nights at Matterra and it was one of the best hotel experiences. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and spacious. The staff went out of their way to help us when we needed some specific accommodations. The complimentary breakfast was very good as well. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to all kinds of food options. There are...
Good location on Whyte. Hotel is very clean. My room was spacious, warm and comfortable and had a nice view. The free buffet breakfast was pretty good and had a huge selection of hot & cold items. Check in and out was efficient. All the staff I came across were friendly and polite. Will definitely stay here again.
My wife and I travel to Edmonton often and when we do we almost always opt for the Metterra over other hotels. They're pet friendly which allows us to bring our dog travelling with us. While it's located on Whyte Ave and can at times be loud, I love that they provide ear plugs in every room in case you're a light sleeper. We love staying here in the summer, especially. The rooms have wonderful balconies...
Room was clean, staff is knowledgeable and helpful with knowing the area. So many amazing restaurants in the area walking distance. Fantastic coffee shop across the street. Lots of little pubs. Room size is perfect. The only negative I could say is that the hotel is located on a busy street which means it can be a bit noisy for some people, we didn't have an issue as we like the white noise to fall...

We had a relaxing stay. Good distance to the city center. Service is great. Free parking. Hot breakfast is a bonus. Many options with sausage, egg omelets, breads, juices and coffee... beds are comfortable. Room size is good. Would love to stay here again. Highly recommended.
We had family from Dubai stay at this hotel, as I carefully looked at reviews of hotels close to us. Unfortunately this was not a great decision and has left me weary about the validity of other reviews on Google when it comes to hotels. Our guests reported that the room was extremely dirty, not at all like the photos that they had seen online. The only good part of their booking here was that they...
Nice little pool and slide for the kids. No hot tub which would be ideal after a long day in the city. Great selection for breakfast. Depending on which side of the building you get, it can be very loud with sirens all night, but we request a room overlooking the parking lot to help with that. Beds are comfy and entire place is modern.
Clean entrance when you walk in, friendly front desk staff. Met some housekeepers in the hallways, they were friendly and welcoming. Room was meticulously clean and comfortable. The entire hotel was sparkling clean. Great job housekeeping dept!!
We stayed here for one night, as a part of a family vacation, and enjoyed the experience. In addition to an easy process, we were also able to check-in early (30-60 minutes). The rooms (2 queen beds) were clean and functional (we aren't really looking for much more than sleeping quarters), the pool was decent (our kids really enjoyed the slide), and the breakfast was good. Overall, this hotel worked...
