Holiday Inn Express & Suites St John's Airport by IHG, St. Johns1 / 21
9.0
St. Johns, 5 Navigator Avenue 🧭 Map
This was a very good stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is just okay. There is an airport shuttle van available. It is an easy walk from the airport. There is a bus stop at the airport and one by the hotel. The bus service was good.
The morning breakfast buffet pool, laundry, work areas and gym set them apart
Always stay here. Close to the airport, convenient pickup (even without the shuttle currently). Breakfast is great for an express hotel.
We did not like that the curtains were only shears. It was very bright in the morning with no way to darken it.
It was very good. We got picked up at the airport. The receptionist the next morning was very helpful and printed out something for me.
Always love my stay at the holiday in! Always have good breakfast options too!

Check in was a little late but the room upgrade in lieu was a nice touch. Thanks
Great stay. Great staff at the front desk. Awesome location.
It was very nice environment. Cool pictures of great artists.
4.5/5 stars really. Great location close to George St. Service good except for some housekeeping misses (didn't replenish hand towels, soaps). Bathroom sink had very poor drainage. Breakfast that was included in price was very good as were the waitresses and waiters. Wonderful lemon water at the front to fill water bottles and staff always at the front doors letting you in and out. Can avoid the...
We went to Newfoundland for the first time and we had the privilege of staying at this place which is amazing at their service. The staff like Jennifer, shay, Stephanie, Justin, Dave all were amazing at their service. As soon as you enter the hotel they greet you and welcome you. The stay was very comfortable and with these people around it was way more special. Location is amazing so close to George...
First off, I have to talk about the decor as soon as you enter...... absolutely incredible! It's a beautiful hotel with a musical theme. The artwork is incredible! A local artist painted some of the artwork, and it is stunning. The mural behind the front desk is amazing. They even have a coffee table in the form of a giant cassette tape. Next, the service. Available valet parking as you pull...

Two nights at St John’s best hotel. Luxury casual in a location close to everything. Chris and his staff pampered with the best beds, bath and baked goods! Next time we’re on the Rock, this is where we will call home! Thanks for a top-notch 5-Star visit!
I went here for drinks and had a great time. The bartender was very friendly and mixed amazing drinks. Unfortunately he was working alone, and it was quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait. Overall great experience, with delicious drinks!
Stayed here last night of my friends visit to NL and we were very pleased. Beautiful modern room. Great location and great service. I absolutely loved my stay. The bathroom touches put this room over the top! It’s kinda hard to beat to be honest. Go and enjoy! If I were to change anything it would only be the mattress. I love plush but the bed was firm
Best cocktail bar in the city bar none. Friendly engaged staff aim to please the clientele. Great selection of high end spirits. Extensive menu and they can make most anything even not on the menu. Our favourite place to relax with a really good drink.
Beautiful Hotel with a great view, fantastic service and simply one of the best bars anywhere, every cocktail is a work of art for you tongue, the skilled bartenders are masterful at their craft.

The house and room are beautiful. The breakfasts are great and the staff are wonderful. The location is perfect -- right in the historic downtown section and close to all the restaurants and harbour. They were willing to store our bags until our return.
Stayed with my wife at the Narrows B&B. Great host Ann O'Brienand her team. The rooms are charming and really clean and comfortable. Her property has great character and she matches that herself. The location is convenient for Downtown, the Rooms, Quidi Vidi, Signal Hill and other attractions. Really enjoyed the conversation and the fare at breakfast. Definitely will come again for a genuine St John...
We loved our stay at The Narrows B&B. Lisa and Ann were lovely hosts. They had us laughing around the kitchen table every morning with local stories and banter. Breakfasts were delicious. Location is perfect for walkers and hikers. We walked up to Signal Hill and down along the North Head trail one day. And walked to Quidi Vidi and Sugarloaf another day. And all through downtown St. John's daily. We...
Wonderful bed & breakfast on Jellybean row in downtown St. John’s. Within walking distance of almost everything. The women running the B&B are unbelievably wonderful and the rooms are just darling, with your own bathroom and mini fridges (very clean too!).  The breakfasts are also amazing. A lot of local jams etc. I see many reviews here of people complaining about waiting for breakfast. It’s important...
So nice so clean ned comfortable hospitality number 1
Great location near many tourist attractions in St. John's. I arrived by bus from Port aux Basque, which took 14 hours, so I was primed to walk to see what I was interested in. Safe and secure location. Key code unlocks deadbolt on front door. There are 4 rooms. I was downstairs close to main entrance. It's an old house with hardwood floors. So there is some sound that transfers through the floors...

Price was reasonable and the room was comfortable and well equipped.
Staying for 5 days while on holidays. Nice rooms. Front desk staff quite friendly. Wish there was a microwave in the room. Only thing that is missing. Husband lives the coffee maker. I would stay here again
Great room, really Clean, lovely Coffeemachine, comfy beds and 2 free Muffins convinced us. Nice staff. We will come Back.
We stayed at this place for two nights. The place is very clean, very well organized. Most of all the people are very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended if you’re going to visit Saint Johns Newfoundland ♥️
Great place not far from the main area of Kenmount road, rooms are nice and all second floor have their own private balcony. The staff is nice and accommodating, wish they had breakfast instead of just muffins in the morning but in all great experience!
The room was fine.. Didn't have breakfast there. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

The location is really nice, in central St. John’s on a historic street. everything was clean.
I had a lovely stay!!! Very clean and accommodating, with light breakfast options available + fridge and microwave downstairs. Great location too in the heart of downtown St. John’s.
Just feel like home away from home
It is in a good location Has parking around back Good price Complaints- I stayed in bedroom 1 and the bed is louder than a newborn crying. Very hard to bang without the entire building hearing. There is no cereal for breakfast. Bath tub doesn't have a plug.
Loved my room , great brekky, simple late checkin and option for later check out at extra cost. Close to town.
Clean room and good location. We had the loft room - tiny room, tiny bath and shower, (virtually nowhere for two suitcases) and we couldn't open any windows - no screens, one handle broken. Since it was blistering hot we had to have the noisy window A/C on continuously, despite the fact that it had cooled down nicely outside. Breakfast was dull and basic. Internet annoyingly slow. Convenient to check...

Absolutely charming place, wonderful welcoming host and downton location
Just a cute spite really nice rooms. Wonderful location. Carol is a real gem. Thank you for your wonderful service. We highly recommend
Awesome place to stay. Watch out for the St. John's city parking scam. They will ticket your car overnight without warning claiming they were cleaning the streets, which is a lie.
Bed was good, good TV channels. Location was good too. But, too many stairs for seniors, hauling luggage was a problem, the furniture was not particularly "heritage" but a mixture of odds and ends of furniture. The breakfast was just "OK" with poorly attended coffee making, used butter dishes, table not cleaned properly and limited fruit offerings. Host was friendly but not often around or so it appeared
Carole was lovely and very accomodating. The staff were wonderful. I was a monthly guest, so I felt at home while staying there. The location is perfect being close to almost all amenities and nature trails. Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for that heritage feel.
I Stayed here in 1998. Back then it was a wonderful B&B. The breakfast was a continental type, but had a good variety. It had some shared bathrooms, but all in all a nice place.

The location was prime Staff was very friendly and was there when ever we needed them
We had a lovely stay at the Duckworth Inn in St. John’s. The self check-in was easy and smooth. They sent an email with all the instructions before check-in. The rooms are smaller, but very clean and efficient. The staff are very friendly and the location is wonderful. We were there for George Street Festival and when we went to bed it was quiet! Great Inn and great value!
Ideally located with everything you need for a few nights in St. John's.
Amazing place.. booked quick, and they went out of their way to help better accommodate him a bit better than he would of already had it, due to a hard couple days of flights. Would recommend most definitely. Great serivce. The guy down in the restaurant offered to being his food up . And was still hot when it got up there, also great food!
It was pretty close to what we expected. Great location and affordable price. Bed was comfortable, you could see the harbour from the window and clean bathroom. The room was equipped with a mini fridge, tv and coffee maker. But no boiler or microwave. Self-check in wasn’t smooth and we had to call to be let in.
Great location, rooms above a restaurant in a 100 year old building. Nice change from the usual chain hotels. Self check-in and check-out efficient. Room decor a bit of a mix bag but clean and comfortable. Strong WiFi, comfortable bed and great shower.

You HAVE to stay here. For a reasonable price you have access to EVERYTHING. It has laundry (coin operated- 2 loonies, 2 quarters) and is a short distance from TONS of stuff. The place felt very cozy and the owners were exceptionally hospitable and kind. We came during the off season so there was so breakfast spread. Instead the owner came to our door and asked us what we would like for breakfast and...
Wonderful historic B&B in St. John's. Stayed 2 nights in beautiful Trinity room. Rob the host is very responsive and helpful. The rooms are super clean with lovely plush towels and great toiletries. The continental breakfast was great. A super place to stay while visiting St. John's. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic hosts. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with a welcome note going over all the things we needed to know. Very thought out. We truly enjoyed our stay at this stately manor. It's a fantastic retreat to just relax and get away. Restaurants are close, it's central and the area is beautiful. Rob is your host and he is so helpful and full of good information. We stayed in the upper...
Wow! Don’t think twice: it’s a steal of a deal to stay there. Rob and Brenda were fantastic hosts: great communication, very friendly, genuinely cared. I’d be back in a heartbeat. The breakfast spread was fresh, healthy, and varied. The Manor itself is beautiful and full of character. We stayed in a one-bedroom on the third floor, and had no issues with noise or bathroom availability, and our bed...
Very well maintained, clean, and comfortable. In a great neighborhood with easy walking to downtown. In a series of traditional townhouses and so it gives an idea of early and contemporary St. John's. The proprietor Earl is very helpful.
Across the street from Government House and gardens and close to downtown restaurants and bars. Comfortable, clean and beautiful decor. Minimal parking closeby.

A unique stay in a beautiful manor house with a welcoming and supportive host. We enjoyed the history, beauty and comfort of the accommodation. Our big room with ensuite bathroom was very nice and we had access to a big kitchen, dining room and multiple seating areas around the house. It is on a quiet leafy street, centrally located and easy to get to other parts of St. John's.
Less than five minutes from downtown St John's, super close to restaurants and coffee shops. Rooms are lovely and the owner is delightful and super helpful.
Would highly recommend Monroe House to anyone visiting St. John's! The location is central to most places we wanted to see. All within 20 minutes walk from the site. Mark and Julia were amazing hosts and accommodated our late check in, which was very much appreciated!
Beautiful 3 story historic home. Rooms are very nice and well appointed furniture/decor. Access to a full kitchen with appliances and dining necessities. No meals are served but guests have full access to all the meal paraphernalia and a gorgeous dining room. Close to Water Street harbour, shopping, and banks for currency exchange. Definitely recommend.
Very nice...Bonnie and Eric were very helpful and attentive. Room is nice and cozy. Have access to full kitchen and can prepare meals if you choose to do so.The house is very close to Duckworth St. which is one of the main streets in St.Johns. which accesses Water St. Enjoyed our stay immensely and will return in the future.
In between a B&B (without the latter B) and a small hotel with a great location in downtown St. John's, our stay at Monroe House was comfortable. The proprietors, Eric and Bonnie, were friendly without being overbearing. Each room has its unique style and all are spotlessly clean with a Keurig and Fridge in each one. The house's amenities from its kitchen and common areas are available for use by guests...

Loved the hosts and the cat. It felt like a home away from home - very comfortable.
Was so grateful to get the "emergency" room in the basement last minute. Hostess was amazing and I appreciated the vibes but it wasnt super clean, probably because i booked last minute and took the emergency room. Not walking distance to anything.
Perfect place. Owners go above and beyond for their guests. Very friendly and nice people. Great location, close to all amenities and on bus route for transportation. 👍👍
We stayed here for 2 nights. Very clean and friendly place. Highly recommended. Contact the host directly for any request and she will try her best to accommodate it.
Love this place, sucha stay. There's a cute cat who's friendly and I love her. The owners are really good as well. A very peaceful and relaxing environment. At a good location as well. Near bus stop. They give you refreshments to make and bread, yogurt, cheese, you can make anything you like. There are several books to read from. A clean and neat bathroom and kitchen and a good room space. Myself, my husband and daughter stayed here for 6 days. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, nice clean home, lots of choice for continental breakfast, fair price, and wonderful hosts. We felt at home staying here would recommend it for sure and got to say I have recommended it to eveyone I meet lol. We are rebooking again for later this month.
