Good quality hotel with good facilities. Was cheap when I went a decade ago! Great burgers. There was a shop over the road that sold beers for about 5p a can. The contrast between rich and poor, old and new was so marked

Big and clean rooms, great view and perfect service. I can recommend the executive area, it's worth the small amount you need to pay more!

Nice hotel room. Silent environment. Good for a restful night. Staff are attentive and provide good service. Oh and the front desk staff can speak english!

Its a bit old but otherwise the rooms are well appointed with staff being courteous and attentive to non Chinese speaking guests

If you need to book a taxi at the concierge, make sure you double confirm the night before, because I was surprised that they seemed to forget about my taxi booking request

Glad I did double check since I had an early flight the next day, no room for mistakes. Overall I still give it a five star because I was upgraded to the executive floor

Most of the staff are english speaking and very kind too. Rooms are comfortable with all modern amenities. Located close to shopping malls and couple 24/7 super market

The gym is well equipped, but the heaviest dump bell is only up to 50LBS, however if you need more weight there are several other cable machines. There are tons of restaurants and at least 3 big shopping mall nearby

Good, clean hotel with great amenities. The gym is well laid out, well equipped with good machine and free weights. The buffet restaurant did a great job with both breakfast and dinner

The closest international airport is HongQiao, which is much more closer but not much flight options for international airliners

Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Hotel is situated at very good location near at the Mega Shopping Mall. This is stylish cosmopolitan hotel in a high-rise building. Front desk is very active & friendly.

Comfortable room, great breakfast

If you don't want to pay the high hotel prices on Nanjing Street, but still want easy access to this area, then this hotel is hard to beat. There are both Red & Purple Subway line stops within easy walking distance

Amazing place to stay. Especially for Indians as they have a great Indian chef. The rooms are large and spacious and the stay here is very comfortable. They have a SPA, gym and swimming pool as well as a tennis court.

A very comfortable and pleasant stay. Rooms were excellent and service was great. Food option were great even for a vegetarian in China. Staff was very helpful and provided assistance for travel and taxi

Many weekends were spent relaxing there. This is a great hotel, good value, generous amenities. the only opinion is that the check-in and check-out time is unacceptably long.

The front office is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a very good range of food. The Chinese restaurant at the lobby is not very customer service minded though, also not all can speak English in this restaurant

The receptionists are very professional, nice and tender. The hotel building is with Art Deco style built in 1934, amazing location and full of the charm and atmosphere of old Shanghai everywhere inside

Amazing and beautiful hotel!

Always enjoy my stay here. Some nice little history about this place. There is a villa on the property that English PM Margaret Thatcher used to stay in.

We went to the Wan Li restaurant for dinner and one of their private rooms. We were greeted at the front of the restaurant by a very friendly host. The staff during dinner was very professional and attentive

We ordered a wide variety of items across the menu, each of which was delicious. I personally finished off dinner with a red bean and mochi dessert which was at the perfect level of sweetness

Wonderful hotel, very nice and modern. Staff are very attentive. Upgrade for club access is worth it. One of the best Marriott brand hotels I've been to.

The standard breakfast at Yi Cafe on the second floor of the tower (the hotel consists of an older building called the River Wing and a skyscraper tower) is one of the best breakfasts I have ever tried in hotels - without exaggeration a huge choice, different cuisines, high quality products of their preparation

If Shanghai, then exclusively in Shangri-La in Pudong. It was one of the first hotels in the region. The especially exclusive area in the old building truly has an indescribable charm

Great hotel in Pudong business district. From the hotel you can go to the embankment with a beautiful view of the opposite bank of the Bund, at night it is especially good to walk there

The only thing you can't take home with you is the fantastic smell of the hotel. We did ask about it, you can actually buy it, but at $200 a bottle, we left it with a memory

Great hotel in the commercial area of Shanghai. Usually foreign travelers use it for business, very few tourists given its location not too close to the center. Very large structure, with pool bars, restaurants and gym

The clientele is typically people who travel for work, so the environment is very quiet and very formal. You can find a taxi abroad, remember that the taxis do not have English speaking staff

Help yourself with a photo of the address or a map (which you can pick up at the front desk) with addresses in English and Chinese

Very rich breakfast, I would say truly international, you can try local specialties or have a croissant with cappuccino

Service was good. Close by SHA to go in and out of Shanghai. Rooms are a bit outdated. One of the oldest Marriott hotels in Shanghai (was told 15 years old). Though, they do have plans to renovate the hotel next year...

Breakfast has a reasonably good spread, and the orange juice is one of the better ones as some places offer orange drink rather than orange juice.

Top notch hotel in Pudong. The service is incredible! I really appreciate the diversity of breakfast options and the pool is absolutely amazing.

Lots of different fruits, homemade jams, fresh breads, yogurts, etc. Skip the muffins - not that tasty. Very nice swimming pool and exercise room. Staff are helpful and friendly

Stayed 2 times in 1 week and in both instances, was upgraded to a complimentary suite with my diamond status. Had a bit if time hunting down the new exec lounge, not realizing that they had a new one elsewhere.

So pretty, we stayed in a really nice suite and it was a great experience. The breakfast buffet and cocktail hour (for diamond members) against a beautiful chinese tea garden completes the stay.

My favorite Doubletree. I always get a free upgrade to an executive suite in the East Wing. The garden is beautiful and the Executive Lounge access is a big plus.

5 minutes walk to subway station, really good breakfast, the Pearl is 10 minutes away by taxi

Nice hotel with an excellent location.

(And I think it was hard to explain my vegan diet more on a conceptual or cultural level than them not understanding my English ?) There were walkable sights (an awesome sculpture garden is less than a mile away) and I had a great view of the city from my room

The mattress was great, the bath was great, and I loved the steam room in the gym facilities. The executive lounge had a fairly good selection of food multiple times a day, but breakfast was my favorite!

While it was sometimes difficult to communicate with staff in English, the staff really tried their best to address any needs

It's just Shanghai... That says it all. You have to visit to understand

Amazing place. Large rooms, beds are good. Breakfast is nice, with good variations of food. everything you need is close by. This will be my new home away from home in shanghai.

Very quiet in the evening and overlooking the river. Suitable for jogging in the early morning. You can find many activities nearby in Lujiazhui area

The hotel is really awesome, especially if you get one of the rooms on top. Beware that the hotel is quite a bit outside of the city center, but close to the neighboring company offices and facilities

Thus it is mainly frequented by business travelers. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. There was a free mini bar in the room. There is a free shuttle service to the maglev that no one uses

The location was great and the breakfast was amazing. The club benefits are excellent, especially the afternoon tea. I strongly suggest you upgrade to it because it's good value for money

I went to a bar overlooking the waterfront Hyatt. This is a restaurant with a view at night, a restaurant with a view. Some have jacuzzis and foot baths

First rate accommodations, staff and killer buffets for breakfast and lunch. Walking distance in one direction to a gorgeous tree-canopied park containing a man-made lake and a first class Thai restaurant

Subway station, major brand shopping nearby. Walk in the other direction and find beautiful gated residences and a little further to the French Concession neighborhood

This is not Hilton hotel anymore. It is now changed to Kunlun hotel. The 30-year Hilton at this location has become history

It's historically significant, feels like you're in Paris complete with high end unique shops and restaurants

When opened around 1988, Hilton hotel was once a legendary site for dine and wine as well as accommodation

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, supplies are great. Location is complicated, it's close to everything, but not as easy to get a cab especially at working traffic hours

Breakfast menu is perfect for Indian vegetarian visitors. Near to Subway if you want to travel to local places. Most of the Staff can understand and reply in English

Slighlty dated rooms however food and service excellent and location is handy to local shops and metro network
