Very nice and friendly owners with a truly extensive breakfast buffet that caters to every need. Great value for money! Nice rooms and comfortable beds that provide a great night's sleep.

Room was good, mattresses were also OK, it was pleasantly quiet, service was very good, hosts were very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good and plentiful, also good for bikers, we have our own garage for the bikes, we recommend going out to eat at Restaurant Hirsch, as breakfast is only available in Hotel Engel. But that wasn't a problem, the food is very good, the Altenauer Dunkel beer tastes...

Nice hotel in the center of Altenau. Run by two super nice and nice people. I just showed up spontaneously and got a room without any problems. The rooms are fine and adequately equipped for just staying overnight. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything seems a bit rustic and outdated, but it fits with the charm of the Harz and Altenau. Just have to like it. The breakfast...

It was such a pleasure that we still didn't have to pay a cancellation fee - when in fact the entire amount would have been due. The room was well equipped and had access to the balcony. It was also great to get drinks from the fridge in the lounge for a fee. The division of the shower and the toilet is not successful. Shower is directly in the room and toilet in a small room. Anyone traveling with a dog must note that it costs extra, although this was not stated in the price to be paid. Perfect as a hiker for the Hexenstieg. Rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. A little further down there is a pub with a good selection of beers.

Das Haus war sehr sehr schön und gemütlich. Es war alles vorhanden, was man brauchte. Der Kontakt mit Herrn Lutz war sehr von Höflichkeit geprägt. Hier fühlt man sich wohl und kommt gerne wieder.

Great location, great location for long walks with the dog. The center can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Landlord and service great. We would come again. Only the final cleaning of the company could do better, at least the window front.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. Beautiful nature and opportunities for walkers. In good weather you can enjoy the time on and in the lake. An Italian restaurant with delicious food is located at the entrance to the holiday park.

We stayed spontaneously here for a night with 2 children and our dog. Pleasant surroundings, 2 swim lakes makenup for the indoor pool being closed (covid regs). Food was more than okay for inclusive buffet. 100% satisfied with room and price.

I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. I really liked the breakfast, but unfortunately the warm dishes (scrambled eggs, pancakes) were quite cold. The hotel is in a great location and there are plenty of parking spaces. The children's playroom is unfortunately pretty bleak. A room without windows. My wife and I have visited this hotel twice in 7 years and we were very satisfied each time 😁. The service is good, the food is delicious and includes a good selection (half board). The rooms are nicely furnished, the beds are good - everything you need for a (short) vacation. Only the Harz itself has significantly fewer trees 🌲😕. Recommendation 👍👍

Very nice hotel right on the edge of the forest in a quiet location. We had a great room with a view of the Bocksberg. The nice employee at the reception and in the breakfast room fulfilled all wishes. The breakfast buffet was also great. Unfortunately the weather didn't play along, but we will definitely come back again.

We are totally satisfied. Had a junior suite. In the evenings in particular, we really enjoyed the couches. From the balcony we could see the Bocksberg. Breakfast is solid, rolls, eggs and everything you like. We'd love to come back.

I was there for a short vacation and especially found the location great! :) The food was also great, especially special requests and late preparation times, after a long tour. The breakfast was also great, the entire staff was really nice and overall we felt totally comfortable. Oh and the price-performance ratio is also great. Definitely would love to come back :)

The rooms are alright, but the doors or walls are very thin so you can hear the neighbors and people on the corridor. The reception is open only from 8am to 8 pm which is not so optimal but we got the keys from a locker in front of the hotel entrance.

Hotel Victoria offers a really nice stay close to the Harz mountains. It's located in the center of Bad Harzburg with a lot locations nearby. The hotel parking lot and breakfast are inclusive. More than a good hotel! We had a 3-day package "Romantik" half board and included a candlelight dinner. And a welcome cocktail (with 4 courses). Pleasant service, cozy bar, good massages, excellent service. We were in the main building. Perfect base for the Burgberg, Goslar and Werningerode (with the steam train to the Brocken, 1142 m high).

Very accommodating, even when booking. Friendly staff, room in the neighboring building "SUPER". We enjoyed the extensive breakfast, the selection and quality couldn't be beaten, and the staff here were also very friendly. If we go to the Harz again, the hotel will be number one.

It is a really clean nice place right in the center of Bad Harzburg, 10 min away from the train station and close to nice restaurants. It gives a really good breakfast.
