Beautiful location right downtown. The rooms with the sofa and coffee table were very nice. The beds are the twin beds pushed together but very comfortable. Breakfast from 0700-0900 was good.

Book a room at Der Platengarten you will not be disappointed. The owner has furnished it with a stunning collection of antiques, amazing actually. While artisans of the past are everywhere you turn in this place, it all comes together with style, grace and personality. The owner has an eye for beauty, modern and old. The bathrooms remodeled and have an upscale modern feel with accents of once upon a time. The rooms are comfortable class. The staff while small is friendly and attentive, the pride they have for the Der Platengarten is clearly visible. It is centrally located in Ansbach with shops and restaurants just a couple minutes stoll through history away.

Great location. Plenty of restaurants around. Rooms were good. Although it had the smell of cigarettes upon entering. Service was excellent, very willing yo accommodate my needs. Driving truck, it was a very tight fit to get into their parking lot.

My mother and I loved this place. It was like a museum as their decor is wonderful antiques and collectibles. The breakfast was stupendous - a very large selection of tasty items. The price was very reasonable. We loved our room and the bathroom was far better than most, it even had a walk in shower. It was near the town center and I did a lot of walking. The area felt very safe and it was a great place to take photos. We will stay there again someday!

I stayed here for 5 nights in May 2018, along with the majority of my wedding party. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and I really can't say enough good things about the staff!! My wedding clashed with the Liverpool vs Real Madrid Champions League Final (oops), so I rang beforehand and asked if we could watch the game at the hotel the morning after. They said that wouldn't be a problem, and it wasn't until I got there I discovered they had invested in a new television especially for us! All the staff bent over backwards to help with anything we asked, and I really felt the hotel helped make our wedding weekend extra special. As an added bonus it's also conveniently located and the breakfast was lovely.
