Where to stay in Aschau

A wonderful historic property with very nice and tastefully updated rooms and grounds. We especially enjoyed the attentiveness and friendliness of the team, from email-communications to accommodating special requests. The breakfast was fabulous, the dinner a most wonderful and exquisit experience!

Chef Heinz Winkler, trained under celebrity chef Paul Bucose, restored this hotel 31 years ago, and has operated a Michelin star restaurant for many years. Rooms have grand vistas of the Alps, and a weary body can enjoy a full spa.

This hotel is magical. I promise that you will remember it's elegance years after you are there. The food was the best I have had, the courtyard views will relax you, and please just walk around the adorable neighborhood! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They will answer any questions you have. We hope to come back here again soon.

We travelled in summer and Location was super quiet. Few restaurants open in the evening. Small but very functional kitchen. Bring a few basics, like salt, pepper, oil, chopping knife. Comfortable beds, great shower room, and big balcony. Large Internet enabled flat screen TV allowed us to login to our own netflix and YouTube accounts and get English language programming. Everything you need in the room. Good internet. Breakfast OK. Good coffee from the machine at breakfast.

The room is simple but fine, surroundings beautiful. Reception was doing other things behind the desk when when we arrived. No greatings and no eye contact was made. We had to wait until computerwork was done. Does not make you feel welcome. Maybe a bad day for them?

Nice apartments. We were provided with a bowl of fruit at our arrival. The breakfast was €7.50 per person.

The Hotel Hohenaschau is very centrally located in the Chiemgau. To the Kampenwand train is only a few meters. To the Chiemsee to Prien there are only a few minutes by car, and to climb to the Summit of mount geigelstein to property, plant, and rank as well. In the family atmosphere we felt from the first at the moment. The Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. We have booked our next getaway already

The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful the food is excellent and the prices are very good value finally the area is nature pure I would say that's where God would take his holidays

The one bed room is slightly above basic, very clean and nice. There is a small TV. No safe in the room but this doesn't concern me now. You can (and should) eat at the restaurant, the schnitzel is really good (7.9 Eur). Waitresses are nice and polite.

Very nice little family hotel, I think the concept with breakfast is very good, every room has a box, you can put your food items in there and put them in the fridge, drinks etc. Coffee, tea, beer, wine, etc. are available on site for a fee, dishes can then be used free of charge, you can eat in the dining room or on the terrace when the weather is nice. Ein sehr schöner Gasthof, schön gelegen am Fluss. Von da direkt kann man mehrere Wanderungen starten. Schönes Zimmer mit Bergblick, großes Badezimmer. Alles sehr sauber. Sehr aufmerksames Personal, sehr netter Besitzer. Das Essen in dem Restaurant unbedingt empfehlenswert, auch für Vegetarier ist auf der Tageskarte immer was dabei.

Our family had an amazing time at the Marchlhof! We will for sure come back one day. The hosts are incredibly friendly and the apartments are fantastic.

The perfect total package! We spent 1 week in the "Buchbichl" holiday apartment with 4 adults and 2 children, and it was really great. The apartment is very comfortable and furnished to a high standard. There is also a large balcony with sun loungers and a large table, which can certainly be used in the summer. For the kids, of course, the animals were the absolute highlight. Cows, horses, cats,...

The Marchlhof and its owners Ina and Martin live hospitality and animal welfare in a way that is rarely experienced. They don't give you a chance not to feel comfortable, so it was difficult for us to leave our great apartment and farm for excursions. Everything just fits together and we didn't miss anything. We will definitely come back no matter what time of year!

I have been here twice and I fully enjoy this place. The food is great. The atmosphere is perfect and I cant wait to go back.

We felt very comfortable here and the cowshed is great for children. The Reiter family is very friendly, always helpful and explains everything there is to discover on the farm. The apartment was large and everything was spotless.

Super great flair, and vacation on the farm as you can wish. At the Daurer, love for animals is a top priority, and we run great animal welfare. And anyone who comes to enjoy the kitchen needs a diet afterwards, which speaks for the delicious food. LG to the riders from Daurerhof
