A wonderful historic property with very nice and tastefully updated rooms and grounds. We especially enjoyed the attentiveness and friendliness of the team, from email-communications to accommodating special requests. The breakfast was fabulous, the dinner a most wonderful and exquisit experience!

This hotel is magical. I promise that you will remember it's elegance years after you are there. The food was the best I have had, the courtyard views will relax you, and please just walk around the adorable neighborhood! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room is simple but fine, surroundings beautiful. Reception was doing other things behind the desk when when we arrived. No greatings and no eye contact was made. We had to wait until computerwork was done. Does not make you feel welcome. Maybe a bad day for them?

Nice apartments. We were provided with a bowl of fruit at our arrival. The breakfast was €7.50 per person.

The Hotel Hohenaschau is very centrally located in the Chiemgau. To the Kampenwand train is only a few meters. To the Chiemsee to Prien there are only a few minutes by car, and to climb to the Summit of mount geigelstein to property, plant, and rank as well. In the family atmosphere we felt from the first at the moment. The Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. We have booked our next getaway already

The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful the food is excellent and the prices are very good value finally the area is nature pure I would say that's where God would take his holidays

The one bed room is slightly above basic, very clean and nice. There is a small TV. No safe in the room but this doesn't concern me now. You can (and should) eat at the restaurant, the schnitzel is really good (7.9 Eur). Waitresses are nice and polite.

Very nice little family hotel, I think the concept with breakfast is very good, every room has a box, you can put your food items in there and put them in the fridge, drinks etc. Coffee, tea, beer, wine, etc. are available on site for a fee, dishes can then be used free of charge, you can eat in the dining room or on the terrace when the weather is nice. Ein sehr schöner Gasthof, schön gelegen am Fluss. Von da direkt kann man mehrere Wanderungen starten. Schönes Zimmer mit Bergblick, großes Badezimmer. Alles sehr sauber. Sehr aufmerksames Personal, sehr netter Besitzer. Das Essen in dem Restaurant unbedingt empfehlenswert, auch für Vegetarier ist auf der Tageskarte immer was dabei.

Nice hotel in Chiemsee. Breakfast is excellent and owners really want to make your holiday best they can. They are really helpfull. Room is cosy, clean and there is lot of space and bed is excellent. Some of the rooms have own balcony. To the beach is 3 kilometres but it is easy to walk and when you are walking, look beautiful village full of beautiful houses.

Our small holiday consisted of 3 nights and 4 days. The owner Herr Mehlhart greeted us and signed us in for our stay personally. We stayed there only for one night. This family-run hotel has an old Bavarian design what makes you feel like you are in a fairytale! This was a beautiful, comfortable hotel in a lovely city. The room was large, clean and luxurious feeling, and the surroundings breathtaking. The weather was extremely hot (30 degrees Celsius) so the lack of air conditioning was am issue, but the cool nights made up for that. The grounds were gorgeous and the breakfast buffet was a delight. We would definitely consider staying again.

Comfortable room and matrace. Friendly staff, we checked out in the morning and went for a day-long bike tour, came back dirty as pigs and were without problems allowed to take a shower in the hotel, so that we could sit back in the car clean again. Thanks!

The perfect total package! We spent 1 week in the "Buchbichl" holiday apartment with 4 adults and 2 children, and it was really great. The Marchlhof and its owners Ina and Martin live hospitality and animal welfare in a way that is rarely experienced. They don't give you a chance not to feel comfortable, so it was difficult for us to leave our great apartment and farm for excursions. Everything just fits together and we didn't miss anything. We will definitely come back no matter what time of year!

We felt very comfortable here and the cowshed is great for children. The Reiter family is very friendly, always helpful and explains everything there is to discover on the farm. The apartment was large and everything was spotless.
