Hanse Hotel

When we arrived at 1 p.m. we were greeted with the words check-in is only from 2 p.m. When we asked what we could do until then, we were sent out of the hotel and into town. I would have liked a coffee on the terrace or the promised welcome drink. On the first evening of the booked arrangement, the service in the restaurant, manned by a single lady, was very nice. The next morning, breakfast was small and some of Sonja's ingredients were missing from the cooking station, for example an omelette was only possible to a limited extent. Already on the second evening, the service, this time manned by 3 people, was really disastrous. Although the restaurant including the outdoor area was only occupied by about 10 people. The staff preferred to talk loudly to each other. First the wrong drink was brought, then the wrong menu. There were two of us and we had to eat separately because they couldn't manage to serve at the same time. And I don't mean for a few minutes, I mean really separately. And the menu was not shown again, even when asked. The next morning there was only one place set for breakfast. This time, too, there weren't just ingredients for the omelette but everything. The chatty staff were asked several times to refill the food. A buffet that was already so empty at 9 a.m. when there weren't many people eating breakfast suggests a lack of interest. Cheese, sausage, salmon and juice were all gone and were only replenished on request. Omelettes couldn't even be ordered because there was no cook. Service in Grubde was pretty bad except for the first evening. I can't recommend anyone to take a break here. I've rarely felt so uncomfortable during a hotel stay. There were even problems when checking out. One Dane was on the phone but another wasn't at all interested in the departing guests. So after packing our luggage we had to go back to the hotel and wait again to hand in our room cards. The surprise of the house, which is mentioned in the package, is a rather strange plush hotel mascot. If you don't have any use for it, you'll wish the service had at least been good. Unfortunately, the hotel is not recommended, even if the rooms are nicely furnished. But here too there is a lack of attention, such as full batteries in the remote control.
