Hotel Am Fang in Bad Laasphe

Very nice hotel. Every one was very friendly. The reception, staff, cooks, cleaning staff, bartender… lovely people! Good food, clean rooms. A swimmingpool where you can watch the sun rise whilst swimming in nice warm water. Very quiet neighbourhood. We loved every minute of our stay.

Very strange review from my. This hotel is very cheap so I need to confess that I had some doubt about it but I had the idea "let's give it a Chance". When you come in the first thing is that you want to run away, I'm very honest about this. A lot of people in line to check in it feels like mass toerisme. But the man behind the counter was extreemly friendly I had very expensive four star hotel for my job where you have been treated like dirt but not in this case. The hotel rooms are clean the sheets also and no sign of what kind of moving animals small or large.yes the colours are not modern and the sink is functional and not 2024 design. But a big surprise the shower gives a lot off water not cold not hot but the way it should be. Again no thermostatic tap so when you push it by coincidence it can happen that it a little hot or cold but...Grohe spray head one step function but not broken doing what it needs to do. So up to dinner, it can never be great for this amount of money and as much as you want, impossible you would sat? But sorry, good food in the evening and the break fast also the same. I be very honest how do they earn some money is the friendly staff working for free?

So conclusion, we will come back! Because very simple saving 800,00 for the same weekend in this place in maybe a little old fashion atmosphere but clean and friendly staff and good food makes me smile again.

Sorry only one thing since there are a lot of people the restaurant is rather noisy but I put ear plugs in and gone is this small minus point.

The swimming pool was the best, but unfortunately there was a window open which caused a very cool draft in the hall around the fantastic pool!

Ery comfortable hotel, and polite personnel. The food was not perfect, but OK. Only there was too less parking place for the guests in 96 rooms

+ + + The Hotel is on the edge of a mountain hill, nearby downtown. There is plenty of free parking. Train station is about 10 minute walk. Room was nice, we had a nice view over the valley and beyond. Rooms are very quiet, no neighbour sounds at all. Bed was fine and didn't make any noice whenever you roll over. Shower was standard, but fine. Soap in dispenser was pleasant to have. New towels every day if you left them on the floor. Breakfast and diner was excellent, good food and plenty to choose from. With some changes everyday. Crew was friendly and very helpfull. Drinks in the evening were perfect. - - - De bar in the basement was closed. Which wasn't clear upfront to us. Walking to and from the hotel is a steep walk. After diner, during evening hours there was no snack available with your drinks.

Great pool and sauna, and wonderful nature nearby. Ideal for taking long walks in the forest.
