The hotel is superbly centrally located in Aurich, close to the city center. In the main building, you should opt for the double rooms. Single rooms are a bit dated. We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful hotel and slept in the castle residence. The rooms were modernly furnished and clean. The breakfast was very varied and delicious. All employees were friendly.

Rooms in the hotel are technically up to date. With half-board there were unfortunately some discrepancies between the menu and the kitchen at dinner. 3 x pork out of 4 evenings, fish dishes were o.k. Still room for improvement in service.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been very pleased, this time was also just great. I love the restaurant and the breakfast there. The sauna is very cozy, there is also a small pool. The staff is very friendly and polite. Always happy to come back.

Very nice hotel. The room was clean and the food was always delicious. The sauna area is not very big but quite ok. We were very comfortable!

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room. Nice clean open area. Excellent service. Totally convincing cuisine, a culinary delight. The bar could do with a makeover but it was too old fashioned for our taste. We would happily return and recommend it to others.

We spent a relaxing and quiet week in October with the whole family in three of the holiday apartments in Villa Moorstern. The apartments are really very spacious and nicely furnished. The landlords were very warm, helpful and friendly. It is definitely worth coming back in summer when you can use the nearby lake for swimming. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Spend here only one night. But absolutely great, perfect.

Its very clean and very cozy. I even like it that the wi-fi is super fast and alot of little things that would just make you feel like home. I gave it a 4stars rating because of one thing, and that is THE WALLS ARE VERY THIN. You can hear everything from other room to a fullstop. I'd even rate is less but the place has alot of good things that compensates for its 1 shortcoming.

Me and my wife, we stayed at this hotel in November of 2017 and we stayed 10 nights. We are pleased with all the services at the hotel. Clean hotel, spacious, always staff at the service, breakfast fresh and diverse and a restaurant with fantastic dishes from Yugoslav cuisine. Will we go back to this hotel again? Yes, of course, and with pleasure.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, I especially enjoyed the backyard area that was nice and cool and quiet. Unfortinatley there is no AC and when we were there it was very hot. Heat is usually not a problem in that area so it is understandable that no AC is built in but it was borderline unbearable for 3 days. -The beds are okay, I did not like the pillows at all. -Bathrooms are nice....

Centrally located. Somewhat rustic.

Was only there for one night as a temporary solution, but felt very comfortable. As others write, the decor is very old-fashioned and clocked, but in the room and in the restaurant at breakfast everything was very well-kept and clean. The owners are super nice and gave me a warm welcome and service. At breakfast I also missed fruit and vegetables, but nothing else was missing and everything was delicious...

Friendly service for checkout, and facilitated a very late check in, but hotel is very dated and tired throughout. Room was very cold on arrival (I don't normally get cold), and some plug outlets in the room weren't working so I had to remove lamp sockets to get a working plug by the bed. Breakfast was decent but so-so.

The whole hotel had a relaxed and easy atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the breakfast buffet was rich and varied. Dinner at the restaurant in the park was very good. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and felt very comfortable.

We were really impressed with the hotel! Room really nice and clean. The only thing we didn't like that much, there was no way for us to pay for the room in cash. Had to pay by card, otherwise we would not have been able to move into the room or would otherwise have had to spend a few hours in the cold. Otherwise really great!

Fabulous restaurant, lovely staff, we had a balcony room and a beautiful day so could sit out overlooking the water. Fridge full of beer and drinks on the landing with an honesty box.

Attentive and good general service, however in the rooms there are only channels in German and the breakfast has little variety (no fried eggs, no beans, no Nutella,...). Free snack service, however, only cakes and little variety.

Somethimes everything clicks - and this hotel ticks all the boxes. Light is just right at the chamber, a fireplace in your room (although for safety fake), floorheating at your toilet / bathroom, free minibar, perfect breakfast.. excellent spa and very capable staff. I was pretty impressed!

Excellent hotel. Great staff and close to everything. If there is one thing it is that the rooms are quite loud and I did not sleep well because of my noisy neighbours. I am also unsure about the cleanliness as there were black hairs on the floor of my bathroom. I am sure this is just a one-time happening and not regular because the hotel is nice.

Nice newly renovated hotel in Emden. Close to the port and just a few steps from the city center. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nicely and beautifully furnished. A very well run hotel that I can only recommend. I always book a room with a view of the harbor.

The hotel is not in the city centre but nearer to other activities and suited better this way for our purposes. Excellent breakfast and super friendly staff ready to help. They have a couple of houses, we stayed in the original. The rooms have been renovated and if not fancy, they were nice and comfortable. The bathroom was really good. We drove up to Emden from Geneva with our sailplane. We had to go through customs nearby in the morning. So, we stopped at the Haus Wittwer for the night. The hosts were very helpful. They let us come back to the hotel in the morning after customs for a shower and breakfast. The breakfast alone was well worth the stop --- fresh salmon and berries for my wife and a very tasty coffee for me. And there...

Very nice friendly staff, are available to answer questions, cater to the needs of the guests, very clean and well equipped. The breakfast buffet is also great, a lot of choice that everyone can find something suitable. The location is also very good, you can get from A to B quickly. Although the rail traffic is raging there, you can't hear anything at night. This hotel can only be recommended....
