Where to stay in Bad Bentheim

Hotel Grossfeld is conveniently located near Bad Bentheim castle and a 7 minutes walk from the railway station on a rather unattractive square. The room I had was fine, but slightly outdated, just what I expected from this smalltown hotel.

Great hotel in a great town. Excellent breakfast and staff. Staff spoke english. Parking is available off-site. Small elevator which is also a plus! Overall we were very pleased. The only negative was price. We just spent 2 weeks in Germany and this was our most-expensive hotel.

The staff were so lovely, and the room was absolutely gorgeous, with a lovely terrace. Breakfast was lovely, traditional German, with plenty of variety!

The hotel is good, the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is several separate buildings between them, if it is raining will have to prevent this. Breakfast is in the main building where the reception is. The breakfast is good. The rooms are very very large and comfortable. An interesting thing is the fact that the toilet is separate from the shower. Liked it

Its a very nice hotel, with nice rooms and a good breakfast. The location is a bit far from anything so it is very quiet, but without a restaurant or swimming pool/sauna to offer it is a bit too little value for the price.

I stopped at this hotel as I was visiting friends. It was still being renovated at the time which was not of any inconvenience you only new the workers where there from the skips at the side of the hotel. Our room had just been finished, a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and fresh the service personnel were very helpful and informative of the area .....what to see and do

A lovely hotel in a quaint setting but very convenient for the motorway. Immaculately clean and a very spacious room. The receptionist was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, again with very friendly service. A great place to stop.

Pleasant quiet room with excellent breakfast. Everything is clean and well maintained. Bentheim Castle is about 10m walk. Beware restaurant closed on Sundays.

It is a good hotel. It is very busy. So remember to order in good time. The restaurant serves good food. The rooms are good.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The location was amazing, the staff was extremely friendly and supportive, the room was very clean and had everything to enjoy our stay, the breakfast buffet was mind blowing. Bottom line, it was an amazing and perfect stay. We would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel and can’t wait to come back !!

Very nice the rooms are excelent and clean but the only misfortune was that at this time it was very hot and the rooms are not catered with ACs so you can imagine how one can have a good sleep.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and had a little couch in it. Lounge at the bar was nice. Diner was good. And I loved the breakfast! Personnel was happy to provide everything.

We were just stayed here for 1 night with my little baby. I like the middle door which connects 2 rooms, good for family or close friend to visit each other without going out from their own room. Only one thing I was not so satisfy is, headboard (the head of the bed) is directly under the window, cold wind was blowing on our heads for the whole night.

If you like family hotels without steel and glass then this is a topper. The rooms are large and great if you just wish to relax. The rooms are warm and cosy. The beds are very comfortable. The food was of an excellent standard. The only down side was this hotel is not suitable if you have difficulty climbing stairs. Breakfast is great! the bar is a nice place, and all staff is very welcoming and friendly. They arranged a special table for us in the restaurant, and they gave us rooms nearby so we could leave the baby in the room while having dinner

Traveled for work and stayed for 2 weeks here. Great place, very kind and friendly staff, rooms cleaned almost daily, excelent food. Will return here if i will get to work again in the area.

A very nice experience, the restaurant owner came to say hello to everyone, the obers were real gentlemen, and I appreciated that. I am not crazy about Italian food and I have some allergies so my food was pretty plain, but my kid and husband were very satisfied. I highly recommend this place.

Good dining experience, good food and a variety of music. Our first server was very friendly and made some jokes, although it was a bit too much at some point. The other server was very quiet and didn't know what flavours of ice cream would be in our desert. Overall the food was very good and tasted and looked nice. We had a good evening.

Many (Italian) dishes to chose from and fair prices. Nice staff and good quality food. The thing I appreciated the most however, was the efficiency of the service, no waiting around for someone to take your order, cook the food or give you the bill. Overall a really plecant experience

One-night stay in this traditional farmhouse hotel. We liked the quiet location and the good bed, also the cleanliness. We agreed with the other reviews about the unfriendly restaurant staff, none of them seem to want to be there, let alone let you feel welcome. On a positive side, beautiful garden and very good breakfast, too.

A beautiful property with a very good restaurant. Everything was spotlessly clean, the tables were set with fabric and the food was excellent. The tagliatelle with shrimp was incredibly tasty. I have never enjoyed such good and juicy shrimp. The pork fillet with new asparagus was also very good. Gladly again soon.

Located in the middle of greenery with a golf course and sauna. Also an ideal starting point for cycling. The rooms are comfortable, but have little quirks here and there. Service and cleanliness is excellent. There is a minibar in this hotel, but with high prices. The surroundings are simply beautiful and invite you to take long walks or bike rides. I'm looking forward to next time!

We had already booked the holiday apartment on the first floor of the Spieker in winter a long time ago. We felt very comfortable there back then. The rooms were very clean, the location was perfect, quiet and very scenic. We really enjoyed our walks in the area and were able to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Maybe one day we'll come back here. :)

Nice and clean room. Large parking and a place covered for smokers outside. Restaurant is very good and breakfast perfect with a very large choice. We only stayed one night, we did not use any of the facilities on offer but was still shown and informed about them. they looked good and in very good order, would stay there again.

Nothing spectacular. Good for a night sleep. The beds zould use an upgrade as the wood is painful for getting out of bed.

We stayed here on the way back from Netherlands. Very close to Netherland border. Hotel is away from city center and other restaurants. The hotel and the room were very clean and looks new. Kids has fin in the bunk beds in the room. Free parking and very cloce to tierpark nordhann. Breakfast was ok.

Staying as a couple in this hotel for visiting family nearby. For the price range it is lacking attention for detail (only cheap shower gel, furniture getting worn out, breakfast tables not cleaned up) - a disaster was the bed - after 3 hours i woke up with back pain. I reported this to the reception next morning when it was staffed and they only thanked me for informing them. Only positive aspect...

The hotel is located just outside the city center (10 min walk to the city center). nice located on a lake and little park (walk around the lake is 2KM). There is a restaurant next door. Breakfast was until 12! and very good incl warm food as well. Room was spacious and get a room with lake view.

We had a Kapitänszimmer on the top floor, nice room with nice view, but very warm. The sauna was directly opposite us, but it already started in the hallway, where it was more than 30 degrees. Luckily the air con worked in the room so we were able to get it cool. We don't think it had been vacuumed because there was dirt and hair on the floor. Kitchen was also nice, bathroom also fine. This was a very brief overnight stop off so we didn't get to know the hotel well. But the check-in was swift and easy, the lady at breakfast was really helpful as we 'grabbed and went', and the hotel is nicely laid out and clean. Clearly used a lot by tradesmen on overnight journeys. and I'd say it was ideal for them

The restaurant is on a high level with 3 and 4 course menus. Hotel facilities are ok, although a bit older and bathroom is a bit small. But price was very good so everything alright.

The hotel was lovely, comfortable and well maintained. It is in the main road so there was a bit of traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable but the sheets were very rough.

Good one Basic but what you need is there for 2-3 days' business trip. Bed, shower, restaurant. Nice park nearby, go left from the hotel. You can go for a run or bike ride. Decent breakfast and dinner (extra paid). Helpful staff, they speak English.

What I especially liked was that the owners, unlike in most restaurants I know, were not only friendly but also really cared that I am vegan. We arrived early and the let us check in no problem. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean. On the flight over from the USA, I lost a diamond earring, and thought it was gone. House keeping tried to enter room forcibly I was very shocked that room service tried to enter my room TWICE without me giving consent. At 9am on a Sunday, they knocked on my door and after I indicated that someone was in the room, they tried to open the door with their key. Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff and good food. The room was large, warm and had an excellent bathroom. There was a lovely view of the local countryside. The restaurant is well above average and the food was excellent, though fairly expensive. The staff were all helpful and courteous. The area is very quiet, but good for cycling and walking.

Because of huge traffic on the way from Poland we arrive to Gronau at 11 p.m. Every hotel was closed. We couldn’t find any spot to sleep, and then the nicest host ever when she was almost leaving home she checked in us because see saw that we are in need, and don’t have where to stay. Kindness like that doesn’t happens very often. Rooms clean, a lot of towels in bathrooms, good breakfast. For sure...

Pretty interesting how they make salt(Salz) here. You can actually buy the salts produced from here. There is a small souvenir shop in the corner where you can buy the salt. Very quiet and close to the nature park.

It is maybe the best park in Rheine. I usually ride a bike along the EMS, then take a walk here.

I'm visiting Lingen every year in march and last 5 years I'm using the Hotel am Wasserfall. A very nice hotel on a very special place. The Wehr (waterfall) is making some noise, but it is a nice noice of falling water. There is a lot of nature around and you can make very nice, long and interesting walks through the neighborhood. The hotel has a brand new breakfast room, very nice, clean and modern...

We had a lovely stay at the TaT hotel. The room was clean (maintained daily),the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely. It was equipped with a blow dryer, ventilation, radiator, and a lovely mirror. There is a desk and two chairs, a TV, a closet, and a small kitchen area with a fridge, sink, and stovetop. We have just came at he middle of the night and wasn't any problem with it. Also we were traveling with large dog and a cat and that hotel was very friendly for them. Inside the room was modern and clean. I would recommend it and next time have a break at the same place! Love it!

Very central hotel with modern rooms. The hotel is located close to the train station, the ems river, some nice restaurants, etc. The room was spacious, had a modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Room 20 on the 2nd floor has it’s own balcony which is nice, but the amount of stairs to get to the room might not be positive if you’re not very mobile. There was no hot water in our room, so we took cold...

Located right at the city center, the hotel.is bery cosy, super clean, with an amazing breakfadt and the friendliest staff. The prices are very reasonable and it's definitely onnmy list whenever i visit the area again. 5 stars all the way!

Very cosy and convenient as it is right outside the main Rheine train station. Less than half a KM by foot. Very courteous staff. If you are checking in late be sure to inform the staff as they close down front office at 7.00 pm. They inform you the procedure for coming in late. Neat and clean. Ok breakfast. Market and shopping places all around. Sight seeing places in walking distance.

We needed a stopover to break up trip from Copenhagen to Hook of Holland. This hotel was great, room was comfortable, good shower, excellent breakfast and very accommodating for our dog!

Workmen's rooms. Have been there several times. They don't respond to complaints! I wouldn't recommend them. The reception isn't exactly welcoming. Single rooms are not recommended. The manager of the hotel listens but unfortunately does nothing.

My room did not look as I expected. Based on pictures i thought the hotel is more modern. My feedback was just about the quality of the room i got. In other aspects everything was fine, room clean, service very kind and help full, breakfast tasty with a lot of choice.

Loved my experience at Hotel Lücke. The room was well appointed, and the stocked mini fridge was definitely nice to have. Bed was firm yet very comfortable. The hotel staff are more than helpful and gave me advice on where to go in town, the restaurant/bar at the hotel is open relatively late if you'd enjoy a night cap or late snack. I'll stay there again if I'm in town!

The room was spacious and very clean. We had a comfortable bed and a hotel is in quiet neighbourhood, plus it has an on-site parking. The whole property was full of character and had a beautiful garden.

Food is truly amazing (I can recommend the Summer Salad!) and arrives quickly. Service is excellent and personalized. Effort is really made to satisfy any need you may have as a guest. The hospitality is top-notch, the dining equals top restaurants I frequent around Dallas/Fort Worth, and overall, it was a pleasant experience that I miss! Having great conversations with the owner as he worked his way around the bar/restaurant area...
