Where to stay in Bad Sassendorf

Booked an overnight stay at the Hotel Wulff. A back massage, dinner and use of the in-house swimming pool and sauna were included in the price. 135 euros per person. It is a 3 star hotel, you shouldn't forget that. Free parking available. It's a bit old, but some effort has been put into furnishing it to make it pleasant. For a *** hotel you get really nice rooms here, the service was absolutely courteous and friendly. The wellness treatment I received (bathtub with massage jets) was super pleasant and relaxing. There's definitely room for improvement in terms of gastronomy, but for the price it's absolutely fine. I would go there again at any time.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for one night. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. All the employees were very nice. The application was also very pleasant. It's a small hotel right next to the spa park, so if you don't like it so busy, you're in good hands there. We will repeat it again.

It is a cozy little hotel with a great location right next to the spa gardens. Massages & Co: In the large wellness package, the massages last around 20 minutes. We try to use some things one after the other so that the different treatments are not broken up into different parts of the day. While you are being massaged, you lie on the magnetic field mat. Potential contraindications were queried beforehand...

We only visited the restaurant. At first glance it looks a bit old-fashioned. The service is friendly and attentive. The food "Waidmann Schnitzel" tasted good.

Only the swimming pool was closed and it wasn't mentioned on the website nor booking.com. breakfast was superior, but a lot of wasps.

Unexpected gem! Excellent room. Five star, modern amenities in a very clean and spacious room. Modern bathroom with hair dryer provided. Have travelled all over Europe and United States and did not expect such modern amenities in such a quaint, small German town. Truly lovely.

Very nice property. They should however update their information to say that they do not have breakfast on Monday. It was hard to check in after hours as it could not find my reservation without trying multiple times before finally getting the information I needed and checked in

Great hotel , super clean and friendly. Location is near Soest center . Breakfast included and was very good . Dinner is extra but food is very good as well . Rooms are ventilated and lighted, were missing a refrigerator but otherwise good for the price.

Brilliant overnight stop at Hotel Susato. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay at a great price. Good parking, friendly service, a clean comfortable room and a good breakfast buffet. We also ate an evening meal in the restaurant, very good unpretentious cooking, attentive service and good value for money. Recommended.

Hotel Susato is just south of the nice old centre of Soest where once every couple of years the spectacular Soester Fehde (Feud) medieval festival takes place. Next to the hotel is a large parking place (P2) and on the other side of the ring road there is a nice park where part of the festival takes place when that’s on. The cleaness of the hotel is normal. The hotel staff is supportive. The breakfast is good. There is a very good restaurant near the hotel (Restaurant Aloisius, 5min walk from the hotel).

The hotel is located not far from the motorway. The parking is free The building seems to be of the sturdy German construction, located in a quiet part of the village. I stayed here for one night last weekend with a group of 6 men on a bicycle tour. For our purpose this was exactly the right place. Self-check-in, late arrival, secure bike garage and a good breakfast buffet deserve a good review. One problem with one of our 3 rooms was dealt with in a professional manner, even so there was no staff on site. Overall good value for the money!

A very nice hotel with beautiful grounds and a great restaurant. Very close to the motorway so no time is wasted if your stop is part of a longer journey but still very peaceful. One of the most comfortable beds my wife and I have ever slept in. Strongly recommended!

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was absolutely picturesque, and the hotel grounds were breathtaking. A really interesting combination of old German charm with a modern flare. We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and both meals were great. If I’m ever in the area again I will consider Gut Kump a must stay location.

Excellent experience We stayed in a large, well designed room with integrated shower and wash basin, accessible and easy to use for everyone without having the feel of a ‘disabled’ room, comfortable beds, very clean. The breakfast buffet offered a good choice, and we also had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant. All in all a very pleasant experience, also good value for money.

Lovely quiet stay. Staff pleasant and informative. We stayed in one of the new annex rooms. Breakfast fine, good quality ingredients. You will get damp if it is raining, even if a hotel provided umbrella is used.

Comfortable room. The staff were very accommodating. They provided me with a computer workspace area and coffee in early hours of the morning (3am) when me working in our room would have disturbed my (sleeping) husband. Staff were efficient and generous. Our stay here, to visit friends and the legal district, was everything I could have hoped for.

Staff are brill. Bar is very cosy. Room was big and well priced. Area was a big surprise, from a quiet little square with coffee shops to a busy night life with lots of reasturants. 2 nights in total on our way through Europe. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Front desk friendly, hotel feels a little dated. See pictures, in regards to the amenities a simple bottle of water would have been a nice touch (like you get it every where else). Biggest mishap during the stay was that the housekeeping lady opened the door without knocking or ringing any bell, in my view this is housekeeping...

The hotel is really nice and cozy. They have 2 floors inside a room, where beds are on upper floor. But they do not have a charging point on the upper level, which doesn't make sense. That's why the 4 stars.

A great hotel. This hotel is first choice when visiting here. Great location, comfy rooms and great breakfast. Only reason for 4 stars is car park that whilst secure is tricky to get in and out of.

I stayed at this hotel last year. Overall, it was okay, for the money you pay, don't expect too much. It doesn't belong to the category of establishments I would rate with 4 or 5 stars. The food is okay. As for the staff, you might be used to a cold attitude, but for me, it was fine. I can't say they were overly friendly or accommodating. The spa center was also okay, nothing special compared to hotels...

Amazing hotel and experience. The spa is beautiful and very clean with great views over the lake. Hotel service was very professional and they were able to cater food for my gluten free & nut allergy requests. Only thing in my opinion that let the room down slightly was the aircon not working, tv was difficult to work and pillows were not great, however still a top stay!!

This place is freaking awesome. Really nice room, great breakfast and an amazingly zen sauna/relax/spa area that you can just get in for free in the late evening. I had sauna room all to myself and took a cold dip in this beautiful small pond-like pool. I don’t speak a word of German but the staff seemed really nice. This was a great location. They have two buildings and maybe more with rooms. We were in the apartments in the back building. There was plenty of space and it was very comfortable. Booked a spontaneous trip for my daughter and I and were very happy with our room and the service. The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the bathroom spotless. The service was also excellent. Would highly recommend!
