This hotel was amazing!! They worked to find us an accommodation and then proceeded to give the best service. I would rate higher if I could because the staff was that amazing. The ladies at Reception and in the bar/restaurant were super. The cleaning team was just as nice and helpful as well. This hotel is also connected to the Franken Therme so it was already going to be great! The rooms were nice...

We try to visit every couple of months to enjoy a long weekend. The hotel is beautiful, handled with love, and the owner makes sure your special. The entrance to the Therme is very convenient and we just adore spending time there.

Ok location close to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Rooms were clean and large but no aircon on a hot summer day. Good breakfast. Some staff only talked german. Didn't use the spa witch is the big thing there.

This hotel is wonderful. Every guest is special! The breakfast is amazing and delicious. They have something for everyone. You can order an omelette or eggs over easy. They want you to be happy and enjoy the breakfast and the accommodations. The beds are very comfortable.The staff professional and friendly. They are connected to The Therme Spa where there is a sea salt pool and wonderful whirlpool...

Wonderful food! Great location! I stayed in the top floor suite for five nights and it was extremely comfortable. I loved the porch and the view. Staff was sweet and breakfast was good.

The selected dishes were consistently delicious. A small side salad with the pasta dish would have been appropriate. Unfortunately, there is little choice of children's dishes for children (and no menu).

We came here for dinner. Food was very good. Staff was friendly and you can sit outside. If you have extra wishes, they take care of them.

Visited the hotel and met the owners while having lunch. The service was incredible and the food was the best. The hamburger was out of this world with flavors I have never experience in the USA. Pam and I would strongly recommend having lunch at this historical landmark.

We were staying here for one night. It was a small room with a small bathroom. But for us for 1 night it was just enough to take a rest from a long trip. Breakfast was great, a lot to choose from and good quality. Friendly staff and great location. A 20 minute walk to the city.

I will definitely stay here again because of the staff mainly. Love the owners and the staff is very friendly. Most speak English. The suite is big with no shower only tub with hand shower nozzle. Other rooms are small with little bathrooms and small showers. Need to be cleaned, inside shower has mold. Beds are comfy, firm, with down comforters. Mornings they offer European breakfast with meats, cheeses...

Very good traditional restaurant. Today they had a special American menu also. Food was delicious and service prompt. They also let us take our time staying later than usual, which is very appreciated. Not all restaurants in this area do this. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Clean, well managed. The beds are comfortable, each room comes with a flat screen TV (bring an HDMI if you want to). The bathrooms are modern and clean. The decor is well done and tasteful. Each room also comes with a few chairs and a table, as well as a kettle for brewing tea along with all the supplies for it.

My room was quite big and clean. It isn't the best hotel in Rothenburg but is very near to the industrial area and i went go work on foot. Good breakfast and reception.

Nice little spot, big room. Shower/tub adaptation in our room, presumably typical, had a design flaw that results in water on the floor. It has parking onsite, but the building is at a busy intersection that always seemed to have cars, trucks, and motorcycles accelerating away from it. Not sure I'd choose this one next time, mostly because of the traffic noise.

Great value! Staff was so friendly and helpful. I stayed as a solo traveler in a single room and it was super clean and new. I wish the bathroom area was a little bit wider but I understand it is a space saving room. The hotel is so quiet at night with no noise disturbing my sleep. Breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing great. Overall I had a wonderful stay and would recommend.

Wonderful little hotel outside the old city walls, which made it really easy to drive up to and park (for free!). The breakfast, which was included, was simple yet delicious. Although the rooms were a little dated, everything was clean and tidy. Very good service and pleasant staff.

Fantastic hotel - huge hot breakfast with tons of options, included in the room price! The room is large and clean, plenty of desk space and had a King sized bed. Updated bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Cute, small town feel and walkable to city center.

The room was quite spacious, and the parking was free also. The wifi was a little spotty at times. The buffet breakfast was a separate charge, and it was good. The location is very convenient to walking into town, 5 minutes. I would recommend this location.

Traditional meets non traditional...The alter ego is carefully designed in a boutique fashion with new age flair with class and comfort. Tough to get all that at once but it's done there very tastefully. Possible inconveniences: no phones in the rooms to reach front desk, you have to walk to the main building for breakfast or downstairs to make your tea/coffee but not bad in my opinion...who needs...

Great hotel. 1 min walking distance from one of the old city gate. There's free parking next to the hotel. The rooms have a nice NYC loft style. However, the floor is made a black-painted wood panels and a nice carpet around the bed would be nice. Overall the hotel is fine for a one nights stay however the room could have been cleaner. Especially the bathroom and shower cabinet since every time we showered the water wouldnt go down the drain and you were left standing in a pool of dirty water. You pay for the location and free parking here. Having said that the rooms, although dated are clean and functional and I think excellent value compared to other hotels. Completely adequate for a night's stay. Upfront about the covid measures...take it or leave it. The owner is a little strange and customer service with a smile is not priority for him or the lady that helps at breakfast but I can overlook...

The hotel is a bit cluttered and the standard rooms look a bit dated and worn. Carpeting in the standard room is worn and the shower does not yet have a thermostatic tap and still works with traditional hot/cold taps and it takes a very long time to get hot water. The room is clean and the bed linen and towels are neat. There are also small soaps and small bottles of shampoo. Given the low pricing...

It was really annoying when you reach slightly earlier than the check in time and find no one around. Even the entrance is locked!! They only allow you to check in exactly at 3pm and not a minute earlier. So if you are not able to arrange your arrival time to rothenburg to reach by 3pm or later, forget this hotel. Upon checking in, you'll be greeted by a guy which as from other comments, is kinda rude...

I had such a great experience here! The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are huge and modern. The food is also pretty good. The best part about this hotel is that the location is amazing. The town is so cute and there are so many shops you can stop by. There's also a night watchman tour that explains the history of the town. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

Nice hotel in a historic remodeled building, with very friendly staff at the reception. Super clean, comfortable beds and small but functional and cozy bathroom. The best part of this hotel is its location. However, it does not meet the standards of a four-star establishment. The room is more suited for a three-star rating, and the bathroom is small and lacks a bathtub. On the positive side, the breakfast is quite good.

Stayed a night on the way back from Italy to Berlin. As we arrived we were asked if we have a car and were directed to the large hotel parking (free of charge). It's a great service of the hotel. The hotel is located near downtown. The receptionist are kind, and the food is good, though there isn't much variety. The rooms are outdated; my room didn't have A/C , making it awful in the summer because it was too hot. Additionally, the room smelled of humidity and was not very clean, I found spiderwebs 🕸 in more than one place. In general, it think it is important for the hotel to have an update...

A lovely family run establishment. It was very clean and comfortable, a 5 minute walk from the train station and only 7 minutes to the town wall. A great value!…but keep in mind if you are looking for Airconditioning and other hotel amenities pay the price and check into a hotel.

Sadly too noisy to sleep with the windows open (with heavy traffic passing all night) and too hot to sleep with them shut. But the apartment was comfortable, spacious and clean.

The location is great. You can walk to the city within a couple of minutes. It’s a pet friendly place, which is great! However the bed was quite uncomfortable and hard. The pillows where completely used up. The price makes it worth it. The owner is really friendly and there is also free parking available.

Clean and basic accommodation. Around 8 min walking distance to the old town, and supermarket is around 5 min walking distance. With free parking, the location is excellent for exploring the old town. The breakfast is well worth the extra top up, with good variety of sausages, cheeses, breads, cereals, fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Charming guest house just outside of the walled part of Rothenburg o.b.t. it's an easy and short walk to the main town square. The family that runs this guest house is delightful. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is good.

Fantastic hotel, everything was very chic. The shared kitchen was full with modern equipments. The room was very comfortable with an impressive bathtub in the middle. It was modern .Everything was perfect.

Good location. The room is good but not really practice. You can hear the toilet from the rooms above you. You cannot watch TV from your bed. There is no safety box. We considered that 500€++ for 2 nights was not worth. Breakfast was wonderful. The ladies at the breakfast were very friendly. Upon departure, no asking feedback from us even no "Thank you" was said from the lady at the front desk.

Great location, right outside Galgentor gate. And just past the P4 parking is a spielplatz for the kids. Few good restaurants nearby as well. We had a mixup with the rooms in the beginning but then it was sorted. The facilities are good, rooms are well appointed. Of course being a small hotel in Germany there is no AC, so keep that in mind. On site restaurant was closed for vacation in August!

I can only comment about the restaurant: the food was good, a bit above average portion sizes, and an absolutely fair price. Nice place for family with kids. On a Friday night the restaurant was lively and several people were gathered to play chess.

We stayed 2021 at that place for two nights to explore Rotenburg in all of its glory. The location is good as you usually find a parking spot across the road. The hotel is rather old and so does the interior feel a bit outdated but nevertheless it was clean and fine to stay. We didn't try the restaurant so we can not say anything for or against it. The price is fair just don't expect amazing rooms...

The restaurant was very clean. Traditional German fare but the food was really great. Perfect location 1 block from the Walled city of Rothenberg. The Pils on draft was on point and the staff were really fantastic. This is a must stop location for those visiting Rothenberg.

Rooms were ok, bathroom a bit inconvenient with the shower right underneath the roof so you can't shower while standing up straight. The employees mean well, but come off a bit grumpy. A very cozy and comfortable Inn near Rothenburg, Germang located near scenic mountains and in a quiet section of a residential area. Multiple beds (up to 2) can be obtained for sleeping up to three people comfortably. The staff is personable and extremely courteous, greeting you as you come down for breakfast and making themselves busy. Though I only stayed one night, it was still memorable. I recommend...

The location is great, but the room and toilet were dated. The carpet was dirty in the room and the toilet was very old. The room key was also the key to the outside door. Somehow my room key didn't work when I was trying to get in at 10.30pm at night. Nobody was inside to open it. Thankfully another guest had keys that could open the outside door and I was able to get in along with them.

The hotel is located inside the city walls and close enough to the parking outside the walls. Good location, quaint rooms. Restaurant and bakery on site. Great view out the window. They should upgrade the TV which is still CRT type (no HDMI input).

Talk about being whisked into the past! Your behind the castle walls. Cute little city. I recommend getting there at night and walking around before the tour buses in the morning. It’s quiet and no cars. Bars all close early but you can get pictures with no one around.

I stayed at this hotel during July 2017. The hotel itself was super nice with great views, but what I really wanted to mention was the great service from one of the waiters, Frances. I know this is a late review and I meant to write it a lot sooner--but Frances was so friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed, from setting out a cute little name tag to overall just being so helpful...

Food was decent. But the restaurant is not kid friendly and the staff made it seem like we were an inconvenience with our children there.

Our family had enjoyed delicious lunch meals I never been experienced in Germany. Especially I'd like to recommend the Cordon Blue and Baucern omelette, potatos food.

The Rödertor (Roeder Gate) with it's two customs and watch huts with their pointed roofs. These flank the outer gate and the bailey. Above you can see the top of the Roeder tower (Röderturm). It is one of the only a few towers that is open to the public.

In the heart of the fairytale medieval town you can find a Mexican restaurant. The service is nice and the portions are reasonably big.

The Rote Hahn is the best out of 5 restaurants I've tested throughout the last week. Very attentive and friendly staff. Immediately brought water for my dog. Immediately got a stool for my little baby. Only was able to raise my hand to the shoulder before someone came to my table to service my order. Loved it! Great crowd.

Great hotel brewed beer with their mugs on sale. Only had appetizers, but the food was great and in large portions. Great people watching spot.

As an American living in Rothenburg I have to say that I love this hotel and restaurant. The first time here the beer and food were perfect and the staff were happy and cheerful. The second time the same week the staff remembered me and sat me instantly and remembered my beer and brought it to me as I was sitting down. Excellent place for really good German food and hospitality.

A beautiful place, open on Christmas, pet friendly, best food I ate in a restaurant. The waitress is a great person, making everyone happy and homey. The garden behind was nicely illuminated with hanging colorful lights and the waitresses were kind and caring. The food offer is well selected and my biggest surprise: they have delicious vegetarian options, the pumpkin soup was spectacular and the meat dishes were also generous in size and taste! This is a perfect place to have a cozy and good quality dinner.

Beautiful old hotel in old town section of Rothenburg ab Der Tauber. Nice large family suites and great German food in their restaurant.
