Where to stay in Bad Windsheim

The staff is super friendly, cleanliness is a top priority, the ambiance doesn't feel cozy to me, the bar has great cocktails, but it's not a place you'd want to linger. Still worth a visit, and the bathrobe-clad walk into the thermal baths is unbeatable!

We booked this 4* hotel direct through hotel. It is a small hotel with small bedroom. We did have a balcony which was nice. However the bar was closed, there was only evening meal available on one of our nights, we were unaware of the fitness/gym. This hotel was amazing!! They worked to find us an accommodation and then proceeded to give the best service. I would rate higher if I could because the staff was that amazing. The ladies at Reception and in the bar/restaurant were super. The cleaning team was just as nice and helpful as well. We try to visit every couple of months to enjoy a long weekend. The hotel is beautiful, handled with love, and the owner makes sure your special. The entrance to the Therme is very convenient and we just adore spending time there.

Ok location close to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Rooms were clean and large but no aircon on a hot summer day. Good breakfast. Some staff only talked german. Didn't use the spa witch is the big thing there.

Poor sound insulation The hotel wall is too thin, we constantly hear others talking, or someone lock the doors. We request a quiet room, but it was very noisy.

What a lovely hotel in a pretty town. Everyone here was so friendly, rooms are very clean and well equipped, I loved the kitchen! I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great apartment with everything you need. A kitchenette with decent equipment. Cutlery and cleaning supplies thoughtfully packaged. Large bed and comfortably firm pillows. The only drawback is that the room feels a bit dark due to the dark floor and small window, making you tempted to turn on the light even in the afternoon. However, the room is well-equipped with lamps and offers plenty of space....

Beautiful place, neat little town. Nice posh hotel with really nice rooms, the Milka Chocolate bar upon checking in was a nice touch. Restaurant looked delicious, although we did not eat there. The only reason for the lower rating on comfort, was that the bad was rather stiff and quite uncomfortable, neither one of us slept well, but this is kind of personal preference.

Private parking is available, making it ideal for travelers traveling by car. The bathroom is a bit small, and water is available for a fee. The reception staff are friendly.

Typical local owned hotel It’s a typical Euro hotel. Not fancy but everything you need. It is near the park so a lovely location. Showers will leave you with a wet floor if not careful. Nice people, good breakfast. Parking is easy.

We were staying here for one night. It was a small room with a small bathroom. But for us for 1 night it was just enough to take a rest from a long trip. Breakfast was great, a lot to choose from and good quality. Friendly staff and great location. A 20 minute walk to the city.

We loved our stay here. Quaint little hotel very close to Rothenburg in the beautiful town of Bad Windsheim. The owners/managers were absolutely delightful and so very friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Close to restaurants with free street parking out front. We also had a delicious buffet style breakfast included. Charming hotel, good breakfast and friendly staff

The room was more suitable, and the front desk was friendly. I arrived early to store my luggage. The included breakfast was very good, and the variety was basically complete. The waiter remembered that I wanted to drink milk the next day (at my own expense the first day), and it was hot.

The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the core of Rothenburg. It has free parking spaces, the service staff is very friendly, the facilities are average, and the price-performance ratio is the main focus. But it happened to be the off-season, so there were not many tourists. There were only a few tourists in all the hotels, and the prices were not cheap.

Great value! Staff was so friendly and helpful. I stayed as a solo traveler in a single room and it was super clean and new. I wish the bathroom area was a little bit wider but I understand it is a space saving room. The hotel is so quiet at night with no noise disturbing my sleep. After seeing the German design, it is really silly and empty. The industrial style is not easy to use. The check-in physical examination is very average because it is in a scenic area and the price is very expensive. I do not recommend it.

I had such a great experience here! The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are huge and modern. The food is also pretty good. The best part about this hotel is that the location is amazing. This was a very nice accommodation. Our hostess was quite nice and helpful in giving us tips on the area. The room was large and clean with modern bath. The bed was the most comfortable I experienced on our 2+ week trip. The free parking was a bonus.

The rooms were great, comfy and roomier than I thought. The location was great, and having a restaurant below was awesome to get food when we were hungry while staying there. Breakfast food and service was really good and filling. Evening dinner was good too, good variety of german cuisine, but we had slow service because the server was new.

In the heart of the fairytale medieval town you can find a Mexican restaurant. The service is nice and the portions are reasonably big.

The Rote Hahn is the best out of 5 restaurants I've tested throughout the last week. Very attentive and friendly staff. Immediately brought water for my dog. Immediately got a stool for my little baby. Only was able to raise my hand to the shoulder before someone came to my table to service my order. Loved it! Great crowd.

Good location. Parking lot is right across the street with 10 euros.Nice and clean room. But there’s no elevator, so we have to carry our luggage up and down . There’s no A/C inside the room. So we have to open the windows, and you can hear everything on the streets. The breakfast is good, buffet style,and you can order your eggs the way you like.

The hotel's location is right in the old town, so it's convenient to go anywhere. The hotel decoration style is old, but very warm and feels like home. It’s raining in this small town, and it’s super comfortable to walk on the medieval stone road.

This was in a good location, easy to find by car. I had booked and paid for a triple room as I wanted two totally separate beds because I was travelling with a family member, not a partner. We were allocated a double room and there were no separate beds. An approach to the staff for reallocation toa room with separate beds was unsuccessful.

This is an extraordinary place to stay!! The couple that run it are so very kind and take great pride in every detail. If you want the true old German feel and culture this is where you should stay. Amazing!!! My family and I stayed here in early June and we had the best experience. The hotel was centrally located, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Walter, one of the owners, greeted us every morning at breakfast and took time to recommend activities as well as places to eat. Highly recommend!

A very kind host in a clean and cozy hotel room. Since there was a child is with us, they asked for the child's bed in advance and prepared it. And they checked the next morning's breakfast the day before and prepared a clean and delicious breakfast. If I have a chance to visit Rothenbroug again, I think I will stay here again without hesitation.

Beautiful old hotel right in the middle of Rothenburg. If you want to envelop yourself in the culture and not stay at a 'Holiday Inn', this is the experience you want. Cozy little restaurant on site, with parking a few blocks away in a locked garage. Beautiful interior and exterior, comfortable rooms and beds. Walk anywhere you want to in town.
