Good hotel. Spacious rooms amd great value for money. German cleanliness and good service.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, but there was no air conditioning or fan. Fortunately, the temperature was only 13 degrees at night when we stayed there, so we had a comfortable night

This was perhaps the 3rd time that I have stayed at this hotel. The staff is invariably friendly, efficient, and helpful. It's always a pleasure to overnight here.

Also to note, the hotel is in an old castle style building which adds a great feeling to it and is quite impressive. Amazing place and hotel! Totally recommend it

The hotel is somewhat in the city center and you can walk to the historic center within 2 minutes, where amazing restaurant and architecture can be found

The hotel is close to the tourist attractions, just over 10 minutes' walk away. The hotel has a noble and classical appearance, as if living in a palace

Best western stands out in this aspect as the behavior is consistent among all staff, friendly and polite regardless of race or language. The bonus was, free laundry in the hotel though they charged a small fee 0

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent English which helped with our broken German, lol. Hotel and room were exceptionally clean. Our room, 332, was quiet and right next to the free guest laundry

No washcloths (common in Germany), so bring that if you use them. Parking is secure and approx 18€ per day. Recommend a vehicle no larger than compact SUV for ease of parking. Free WiFi with a fast connection

The room has a/c, but don’t expect cooling like in the USA. It was 85°F during the day and 60°F at night when we were there. The a/c is just enough to keep the heat at bay, but it is not cold

We are used to Texas summers and we were comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa bed (full size) and it was just as comfortable as our bed. There is also an electric kettle

We had problem with the washing machine due to language barrier and the staff came and explained how it worked. She even apologised for not having English instructions

Noisy guests! No fan, no air con. We arrived in the heat wave, 40 degreese C. garden not tended to, rather sad and derelict. Parasols long gone from the terrace. Overall, good value for money I would say

The hotel is located on the top of the hill so if you have a heavy luggage then you may consider taking a taxi from a train station. It's still a walking distance anyway

Our room was in the old renovated wing, so that we could look in the courtyard. The facilities and cleanliness is very good. The bed and mattress and duvet were 1A. We haven't slept this well in so long

We spent two days walking around Bamberg after leaving our car in the hotel parking area and though we logged over 23 km during those two days I'd still say anything you want to see is within walking distance

Please AVOID this place at all cost. If You do not arrive between 15 -20 pm You will not get access to the rooms. they will charge You full cost and You will not be permitted even next day

After reading some other reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but parking was not a problem. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is pretty awesome

Very good home cooking, you can't complain. The portions are more than sufficient. The service area should be rated with 6 stars. Street food or food to order and collection is also great

We like to go to the mold or order the food by phone and pick it up. Also over the New Year's Eve menu was very good and priced ok. Too bad there wasn't one in 2017

Delicious Franconian food and even for vegetarians there is always at least 1 dish on the menu, which is not the case in most traditional restaurants

Even when it was busy, the waitresses were always friendly and courteous and even the toilet area is modern and clean

Unfortunately the quality of the food varies depending on how busy it is as there is only one waiter and one chef. In summer you can relax in the garden with a beer. All in all well worth a visit

There's water, bread and more in the room all for free which was really good. Also you can make tea or coffee. I loved that! The place is clean, and very well maintained

Alright to stay there for the weekend for one's stay in bamberg. Best way to put it is it gives the feels of a modern art museum. We got the small double bed room

Nice hotel, walking distance to everything in Bamberg. Get the breakfast - it's good and there aren't many other options nearby. It's air conditioned but temp controlled. Still better than other hotels in the area.

The location is good as it’s walking distance from the old town. It is also convenient that there is a parking garage underneath the hotel. It’s shared with the concert hall, but should have ample spaces

The only negative thing about the rooms is that there are no electrical outlets next to the bed

Paid 8 euro for 1 night of parking. The room is nice, comfortable, and clean. Water pressure and temperature of the shower was strong. The breakfast looked like a nice spread, but the food was quite cold and stale

Immaculate Very nice hotel in Bamberg near all the breweries and restaurants. It’s a bit outdated but immaculately clean. Not a speck of dust was seen. Highly recommend and will be here for my next stay.

Nice hotel, watch out for the hidden charges We arrived at the hotel and were told to pay an extra €25 as the booking was only for one person

The hotel is beautiful! The staff are very welcoming and nice! Breakfast was included and it was very good. The Christmas market was 8-10 min walk and so was old town

The DM store was around the corner and so was the marketplace. Would stay here again, i did hear loud music nd people talking at 1 am but it wasnt too bad

It is an IBIS and that is what you are getting. I thought value for money was too high but there was really a lack of alternatives. Room was good, breakfast acceptable and even the car park was good

Glasses for brushing teeth were available near the reception if you need them. Overall, it’s good enough for a short stay

Other than that, the location of the hotel is good. The underground parking lot is also positive. The air conditioning system in the room is new and works very well

Super happy with this hotel!! In the middle of everything we wanted to see in Bamberg! Very clean, very modern rooms (Loved the shower!!) and just the right size. Bed was firm (awesome) and pillows were just right

Excellent location. Very clean. Good looking inside and outside. Less good is the very bad smell outdoor as they use manure to fertilize the soil.

Beautiful property in old Bamberg. Located in the heart of the historic district. Michelin star winning property is a guaranteed good stay. The service is always outstanding

Coffee shop had good coffee and excellent local deserts like Lebkuchen (gingerbread), Kurbis-Walnuss (pumpkin-walnut-cream cheese-cake), and Preiselbeer-Baiser (berry filled pie shaped cake with a merrangue topping)

Wonderful location, great room, and excellent, friendly staff. Restaurant Eckert attached also very good. Would stay here again anytime. Best place I've stayed in Germany in my 30 years of travel there

Outstanding location in the pedestrian friendly old town center with many shops and restaurants closeby. Hotel is on the river and has excellent views including from our room

The lady at the front desk was very cute and had a good attitude. You need to order breakfast, and then the waiter will bring it, unlike the usual buffet style in hotels

Good location not far to walk into the old town for your Smoked Beer. We stayed over the weekend its very busy and our room overlooked the front where there is a Brau haus so was a bit noisy, not the hotels fault

entrance for room 30x is from door around corner or from reception take lift to 2nd floor and go down stairs to the 0 level

From reservations, check-in at reception and key issue. Did not realize that I locked my key in the room until 19. Called hotel and she returned 20 minutes later to unlock the room

The hotel is located deep within the city but not far from breweries, eateries, and local shopping. The building is narrowed in space but durable. Getting to your floors can be tricky but the staff can help with that

For example, to get the the 300 rooms you must take the elevator to the second floor then the red stairs down to the ground floor. Or go outside to an outside door to let yourself in

excellent except for the mattress protector! The location, staff, service and cleanliness were excellent. However the beds were incredibly noisy every time you moved the culprit being the mattress protector

The proprietor sent messages in a timely manner and met us at reception even though it was past check in time and made accommodations for us. Hotel was located close to bakeries, cafes, old town and shopping

The room was on the smaller end but beds were comfy and clean. We didn't spend much time in the room as there is so much to do within walking distance so the size was exactly what we needed.

This hotel has it: very romantic, super central, good cuisine, good rooms, and a price to match the location, feels, and tourist interest. If you have the money to spare, this is the place to spend it.

It was very busy but in a good way, there were plenty of staff on hand to cater. Slightly pricey but that is to be expected at a hotel in such a tourist-heavy location

All in all a good place for a 2 day city break, where you only need a place to sleep and shower

We were in the Landgasthof Heerlein to lunch and had a good time. The weather was good, so that it could be nice to sit in the beer garden, the feature in accordance with yet comfortable

To sum up, we have eaten at Heerlein good, good portions, fast and friendly service and can't say a bad thing

Very positively noticed (bonus star) is that the side salad that we have cancelled, was also deducted from the invoice, what happened to me otherwise in any other Inn
