Good hotel. Spacious rooms amd great value for money. German cleanliness and good service.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, but there was no air conditioning or fan. Fortunately, the temperature was only 13 degrees at night when we stayed there, so we had a comfortable night

This was perhaps the 3rd time that I have stayed at this hotel. The staff is invariably friendly, efficient, and helpful. It's always a pleasure to overnight here.

Also to note, the hotel is in an old castle style building which adds a great feeling to it and is quite impressive. Amazing place and hotel! Totally recommend it

The hotel is somewhat in the city center and you can walk to the historic center within 2 minutes, where amazing restaurant and architecture can be found

The hotel is close to the tourist attractions, just over 10 minutes' walk away. The hotel has a noble and classical appearance, as if living in a palace

Best western stands out in this aspect as the behavior is consistent among all staff, friendly and polite regardless of race or language. The bonus was, free laundry in the hotel though they charged a small fee 0

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent English which helped with our broken German, lol. Hotel and room were exceptionally clean. Our room, 332, was quiet and right next to the free guest laundry

No washcloths (common in Germany), so bring that if you use them. Parking is secure and approx 18€ per day. Recommend a vehicle no larger than compact SUV for ease of parking. Free WiFi with a fast connection

The room has a/c, but don’t expect cooling like in the USA. It was 85°F during the day and 60°F at night when we were there. The a/c is just enough to keep the heat at bay, but it is not cold

We are used to Texas summers and we were comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa bed (full size) and it was just as comfortable as our bed. There is also an electric kettle

We had problem with the washing machine due to language barrier and the staff came and explained how it worked. She even apologised for not having English instructions

Noisy guests! No fan, no air con. We arrived in the heat wave, 40 degreese C. garden not tended to, rather sad and derelict. Parasols long gone from the terrace. Overall, good value for money I would say

The hotel is located on the top of the hill so if you have a heavy luggage then you may consider taking a taxi from a train station. It's still a walking distance anyway

Our room was in the old renovated wing, so that we could look in the courtyard. The facilities and cleanliness is very good. The bed and mattress and duvet were 1A. We haven't slept this well in so long

We spent two days walking around Bamberg after leaving our car in the hotel parking area and though we logged over 23 km during those two days I'd still say anything you want to see is within walking distance

Please AVOID this place at all cost. If You do not arrive between 15 -20 pm You will not get access to the rooms. they will charge You full cost and You will not be permitted even next day

After reading some other reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but parking was not a problem. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is pretty awesome

Very good home cooking, you can't complain. The portions are more than sufficient. The service area should be rated with 6 stars. Street food or food to order and collection is also great

We like to go to the mold or order the food by phone and pick it up. Also over the New Year's Eve menu was very good and priced ok. Too bad there wasn't one in 2017

Delicious Franconian food and even for vegetarians there is always at least 1 dish on the menu, which is not the case in most traditional restaurants

Even when it was busy, the waitresses were always friendly and courteous and even the toilet area is modern and clean

Unfortunately the quality of the food varies depending on how busy it is as there is only one waiter and one chef. In summer you can relax in the garden with a beer. All in all well worth a visit

There's water, bread and more in the room all for free which was really good. Also you can make tea or coffee. I loved that! The place is clean, and very well maintained

Alright to stay there for the weekend for one's stay in bamberg. Best way to put it is it gives the feels of a modern art museum. We got the small double bed room

Nice hotel, walking distance to everything in Bamberg. Get the breakfast - it's good and there aren't many other options nearby. It's air conditioned but temp controlled. Still better than other hotels in the area.

The location is good as it’s walking distance from the old town. It is also convenient that there is a parking garage underneath the hotel. It’s shared with the concert hall, but should have ample spaces

The only negative thing about the rooms is that there are no electrical outlets next to the bed

Paid 8 euro for 1 night of parking. The room is nice, comfortable, and clean. Water pressure and temperature of the shower was strong. The breakfast looked like a nice spread, but the food was quite cold and stale

Immaculate Very nice hotel in Bamberg near all the breweries and restaurants. It’s a bit outdated but immaculately clean. Not a speck of dust was seen. Highly recommend and will be here for my next stay.

The hotel is beautiful! The staff are very welcoming and nice! Breakfast was included and it was very good. The Christmas market was 8-10 min walk and so was old town

The DM store was around the corner and so was the marketplace. Would stay here again, i did hear loud music nd people talking at 1 am but it wasnt too bad

I just arrived for a 3 day stay. Due to sad circumstances I completely forgot that check-in is available from 15:00. I was there too early and the nice lady from the reception was letting me do the check-in at 14:00

Great spa hotel with the BEST breakfast buffet EVER!! The spa was also great. Nothing like leaving your room in a bathrobe and walking to a HUGE spa with everything you need. It is VERY small and understaffed

This hotel surprised me, it was obvious it's an older hotel but it was in great shape. The room was large and had more than I needed. The food was great and breakfast is very well stocked with many options

In the centre of the old town, at a quite spot, just behind the central park. Nearby is Steinbach brewery (Top location!!)

Small shower, small gym, no hair conditioner and/or body lotion, AC system really bad (maybe good on saving energy), door handle on the bathroom door was loose, room door needs significant force to close, good personnel, good breakfast, good food

The room was very comfortable, equipment all ok, and the hotel is very well located, 10 minutes from the Siemens Healthineers Training Center and also 10 minutes from the center of Erlangen

Nice place, probably the best hotel in Herzogenaurach Good lunch buffet, breakfast also okay but when it’s crowded you don’t get served coffee, dinner options ok Room service is good but now and then forgets to clean up everything Free minibar is disappointing - just a bottle of water and 4 softdrinks - does not get refilled during your stay

All of the staff members were welcoming and helpful, even going the extra mile to print out some forms we required due to travel restriction changes. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast buffet

I've only stayed in one Novina Hotel and that's this one at Herzo Base on numerous occasions. It's a lovely clean quiet airy hotel, polite and friendly staff and a good restaurant and bar

The staff is super nice and there's a lot of attention to small details that make the difference. Not the cheapest accommodation for a night of sleep but here you know it will be a good one

We went for breakfast buffet as non in-house guests. Food and espresso were very good with the reasonable price, as well as the service was great and friendly. Definitely will go again

When i arrived the evening there was cold in the room...the hotel is a bit like a maze, different paths in the morning/evening. Kinda obsolete I would say. The breakfast on the other hand was very good.

Appreciated the fresh fruit and yoghurt at breakast. We had stayed prevously and my son left a small item behind. It was waiting for us on return, very thoughtful!

and having to wait for the week to start to get it fixed, doesn't look good, plus just a 19° as a minimum in the room is not what you're expecting as a comodity

Location is not central at all, perhaps 30 min walk to the center. But close to Siemens for those who travel there. Some places to get a dinner around but not much of a choice. The most dissapointing is breakfast

The only downside is that they don’t have family rooms so if you are a family then you’ll have to take two rooms

I went in March 2015, purely by chance, at dinner in the Tennenloher yard. Although the Restaurant was very full, was offered to me very quickly and politely to a table. Map, drink and food followed in a hurry

Generally a good place to stay if you have a car. Buses don't run late to this area, 8 PM. So, if you go into Erlangen or Nuremberg and will be late, you will need to make other plans
