Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent English which helped with our broken German, lol. Hotel and room were exceptionally clean. Our room, 332, was quiet and right next to the free guest laundry

No washcloths (common in Germany), so bring that if you use them. Parking is secure and approx 18€ per day. Recommend a vehicle no larger than compact SUV for ease of parking. Free WiFi with a fast connection

The room has a/c, but don’t expect cooling like in the USA. It was 85°F during the day and 60°F at night when we were there. The a/c is just enough to keep the heat at bay, but it is not cold

We are used to Texas summers and we were comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa bed (full size) and it was just as comfortable as our bed. There is also an electric kettle

We had problem with the washing machine due to language barrier and the staff came and explained how it worked. She even apologised for not having English instructions

The hotel is in a very good location, in the city center. All the staff are very friendly and the room facilities are complete. Apart from the parking, everything else is very satisfying!

Close to the old town. Good sized room. Shower-bath. Air conditioning and lift. Close to the bus station. Very comfortable bed (but unfortunately it squeaked). Refrigerator.

The AC in the room wasn't working even though the unit had just been remodeled. Guests are not able to lower the temperature.

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at during my trip to Romantic Road. It's clean and well-managed, the staff are very friendly, and the location is great for sightseeing on foot

I definitely recommend having breakfast. I think I'll have good memories of Bamberg Romantik Hotel for a long time. I'd like to visit again if I get the chance

Excellent location. Very clean. Good looking inside and outside. Less good is the very bad smell outdoor as they use manure to fertilize the soil.

Beautiful property in old Bamberg. Located in the heart of the historic district. Michelin star winning property is a guaranteed good stay. The service is always outstanding

I stayed here for four nights in August and I rate it as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in

Quite spacious when getting a room for 3-4 and putting 3-4 people and their luggage in it. Only complaints are the wifi is spotty in some areas/rooms and they could have used more luggage stands

The next morning I talked with a couple at breakfast who told me that this was their 18th time staying at this hotel. That should be enough recommendation for anyone to stay here

One morning there were only five tables of guests and the breakfast staff surprised us with a glass of Sekt! It was a wonderful surprise as that day was also my birthday

It’s a ten minute walk to both the Hbf and the city centre but that’s a small price to pay. For value, comfort and a memorable stay I highly recommend Hotel Europa

Noisy guests! No fan, no air con. We arrived in the heat wave, 40 degreese C. garden not tended to, rather sad and derelict. Parasols long gone from the terrace. Overall, good value for money I would say

The hotel is located on the top of the hill so if you have a heavy luggage then you may consider taking a taxi from a train station. It's still a walking distance anyway

Our room was in the old renovated wing, so that we could look in the courtyard. The facilities and cleanliness is very good. The bed and mattress and duvet were 1A. We haven't slept this well in so long

We spent two days walking around Bamberg after leaving our car in the hotel parking area and though we logged over 23 km during those two days I'd still say anything you want to see is within walking distance

Please AVOID this place at all cost. If You do not arrive between 15 -20 pm You will not get access to the rooms. they will charge You full cost and You will not be permitted even next day

After reading some other reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but parking was not a problem. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is pretty awesome

entrance for room 30x is from door around corner or from reception take lift to 2nd floor and go down stairs to the 0 level

From reservations, check-in at reception and key issue. Did not realize that I locked my key in the room until 19. Called hotel and she returned 20 minutes later to unlock the room

The hotel is located deep within the city but not far from breweries, eateries, and local shopping. The building is narrowed in space but durable. Getting to your floors can be tricky but the staff can help with that

For example, to get the the 300 rooms you must take the elevator to the second floor then the red stairs down to the ground floor. Or go outside to an outside door to let yourself in

Loving welcome, everything a bit old-fashioned, but definitely clean, fantastically located in the middle of the old town. The garage is a real feature and is worth it for drivers, unless the car is higher than 1

The hotel is in the middle of the old town and perfect for strolling through Bamberg. You can even reserve a parking space. The rooms are good according to our expectations and very suitable for a stay

After trying to be seated at a nearby restaurant and treated rudely, we crossed to this cozy plaza and had great service and good food. Some of us chose better than others, but it was very enjoyable

This hotel has it: very romantic, super central, good cuisine, good rooms, and a price to match the location, feels, and tourist interest. If you have the money to spare, this is the place to spend it.

It was very busy but in a good way, there were plenty of staff on hand to cater. Slightly pricey but that is to be expected at a hotel in such a tourist-heavy location

All in all a good place for a 2 day city break, where you only need a place to sleep and shower

Delicious Franconian food and even for vegetarians there is always at least 1 dish on the menu, which is not the case in most traditional restaurants

Unfortunately the quality of the food varies depending on how busy it is as there is only one waiter and one chef. In summer you can relax in the garden with a beer. All in all well worth a visit

The bathroom was a good size, with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was very basic, with the cheapest sausage and salami already curling up. Unfortunately, used dishes were not cleared away

We had emailed in advance asking about parking and reserving a room in a quiet area but only received a brief reply that all rooms were the same and parking was recommended when we received the door code 2 days prior to arrival

It definitely lacked a fridge and air conditioning, as the sun is on the side of the house most of the day. Nocturnal airing is not possible as the hotel is on a very busy street

It is an IBIS and that is what you are getting. I thought value for money was too high but there was really a lack of alternatives. Room was good, breakfast acceptable and even the car park was good

Other than that, the location of the hotel is good. The underground parking lot is also positive. The air conditioning system in the room is new and works very well

Super happy with this hotel!! In the middle of everything we wanted to see in Bamberg! Very clean, very modern rooms (Loved the shower!!) and just the right size. Bed was firm (awesome) and pillows were just right
