3 star hotels in Bamberg

You get what you pay for here, basic room to stay in in the heart of Bamberg; it was pretty much equal walking distance to the train station and the old town. Staff were not the friendliest but, again, this was really a great value and no worries on our part.

Good hotel for a few nights. Only (small) downsides are the complete non-availability of cell phone reception while I was there and a WiFi network that oscillated from amazing to non existend and demanded a new login every few hours, making me miss a few important messages and calls. Had a wonderful four night stay at the Best Western. I wasn’t expecting much but the rooms were spacious, the service excellent and very close to the old town and station make this hotel a must if you are coming to Bamberg. Also complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby and free wifi

I have stayed here before and I really like this hotel. The staff, the rooms and the breakfast are very good. I will stay here again.

It is a 10 minute walk from Bamberg train station, one stop by tram, and a 15 minute walk to the old town. It is also 5 minute walk from two big breweries. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. Wish to visit again in the near future.

The stay was short but sweet. Hotel is nice, clean. Breakfast is great.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good location. Beautiful building. Noisy guests! No fan, no air con. We arrived in the heat wave, 40 degreese C.... Photos rather old...garden not tended to, rather sad and derelict. Parasols long gone from the terrace... Parking, 12€/day. Expensive? I don't think so. Overall, good value for money I would say

The hotel is located on the top of the hill so if you have a heavy luggage then you may consider taking a taxi from a train station. It's still a walking distance anyway. Rooms are clean and cosy, friendly and helpful staff. Full continental breakfast with a glass of fizz was a nice surprise! :)

Please AVOID this place at all cost. If You do not arrive between 15 -20 pm You will not get access to the rooms.???!!!?? ...they will charge You full cost and You will not be permitted even next day ..and money are already gone. It is shame ..this is not a hotel service ...it cost us us a lot of stress trouble and 612EUR

After reading some other reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but parking was not a problem. Checkin went easily. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is pretty awesome. We spent two days walking around Bamberg after leaving our car in the hotel parking area and though we logged over 23 km during those two days I'd still say anything you want to see is within walking distance.

We stayed from the 13. on the 14.05.2016 in the Arkaden hotel. Our room was in the old renovated wing, so that we could look in the courtyard. The facilities and cleanliness is very good. The bed and mattress and duvet were 1A. We haven't slept this well in so long. The Breakfast is also described as a great to. Also the staff should not go unmentioned; very friendly and helpful. The ambience fits. You can tell that the country inn doesn't want to be a typical Franconian restaurant, which you can also tell when eating. Unfortunately the quality of the food varies depending on how busy it is as there is only one waiter and one chef. In summer you can relax in the garden with a beer. All in all well worth a visit.

The food (lunch on Sunday) was delicious. Very well seasoned sauces, tender meat, decent portions, fast friendly service and fair prices. The only downside: the very cool-looking light unfortunately creates an uninviting atmosphere in the otherwise beautiful and renovated guest rooms. Maybe exchange a few new LED bulbs with warm light for the old energy-saving bulbs and there will be 5 stars.

Very good home cooking, you can't complain. The portions are more than sufficient. The service area should be rated with 6 stars. Street food or food to order and collection is also great. We like to go to the mold or order the food by phone and pick it up. Also over the New Year's Eve menu was very good and priced ok. Too bad there wasn't one in 2017. We hope for 2018👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Delicious Franconian food and even for vegetarians there is always at least 1 dish on the menu, which is not the case in most traditional restaurants. Even when it was busy, the waitresses were always friendly and courteous and even the toilet area is modern and clean.

A querky renovation including much of the owners own reclaimed furniture and artistic light fittings. Great location in the middle of the historic town, across the lane from a nice pub serving smokey beer. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Really good service overall. There's water, bread and more in the room all for free which was really good. Also you can make tea or coffee. I loved that! The place is clean, and very well maintained. I'm giving 4 stars only because of the size of the room. It's perfect for one person but the room the offer for two is just not enough.

Good time. Alright to stay there for the weekend for one's stay in bamberg. Best way to put it is it gives the feels of a modern art museum. We got the small double bed room. Comes with complementary bottles of water, candy, tea and instant coffee. Room has condoms and ear plugs available also for free. The hotel is located only ten minutes walk to the old town. Quite next to hotel is a public underground park. Just notice that if you take an elevator up from the parking hall, you'll end up to the different building than the hotel. If so, go out and around the corner you'll find the hotel's entrance. The rooms are extremely clean, a bit on the smaller side, especially for the price. However, the hotel is cute, and a standard European breakfast is included. The gym situation is disheartening: there's very limited equipment, but you are required to pay €4 to use it because it is connected to a sauna area.

The Hotel was super cleaned and followed all the security measures due to the pandemic. The room is very spacious and beautiful. The bed and pillows are a little too soft. Unfortunately, the staff was not very friendly and quite cold people. Bamberg is a very nice town, super beautiful and fun!

Nice modern hotel in walking distance of Bamberg inner city with all the bars and restaraunts The design of the room was nice and clean, cool interior design details, like the round circular light over the bed. Only downside was the really thick blankets, when it was still really warm (mid September). Breakfast was delicious with good selection of food and drinks.

Friendly Hotel that I would book for short stays. The location on a main traffic route is not ideal, but the rooms to the rear are very quiet. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The Breakfast was fine, a small Buffet with a good selection. Only the Breakfast room feels a bit cold and was in the Morning also in terms of temperature to fresh.

The hotel is located deep within the city but not far from breweries, eateries, and local shopping. The building is narrowed in space but durable. Getting to your floors can be tricky but the staff can help with that. The staff is not 24/7. There is a elevator but because how the building was built the elevator takes you to or close to your room. For example, to get the the 300 rooms you must take...

The hotell is old with whatever comes with that. Still. The breakfast and the location on its own is worth five stars

Nice small hotel with comfortable rooms, big beds and comfortable bathroom with fan. Breakfast is very good and tasty. Close to dam on river. You can't reach it with car, only by walk. Entrance in some rooms is funny i.e. entrance for room 30x is from door around corner or from reception take lift to 2nd floor and go down stairs to the 0 level.

Great room and great service. Alina was spectacular. From reservations, check-in at reception and key issue. Did not realize that I locked my key in the room until 19.30. Called hotel and she returned 20 minutes later to unlock the room. She is fantastic. Thank you so very much for everything you did to make our stay at Hotel Molitor exceptional. Highly recommend.

Clean, affordable. Great location. Bamburg is beatiful. The hotel was partially closed when we stayed there so check-in was a bit of a nightmare involving finding another hotel several blocks away where we could pick up the keys.

Nice reception. Excellent breakfast. Convenient to city park, 5 easy minutes, 9E parking token at front desk upon arrival, (prior to parking). 30 seconds to bus station. 30 seconds to town. Right where you need to be to see the town. Easy in and out of town. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms.

Perfect location by the river, each dish was delicious with small attention to detail given and very nice service.

Nice little hotel, as centrally located as possible. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and cozy. The bed an pillows weren't terrible but not as comfortable as expected. The breakfast buffet was rather poor with little choice. There is no parking. All in all a good place for a 2 day city break, where you only need a place to sleep and shower.

Lovely location, just next to the much-photographed, precariously floating house on the bridge. We only stopped here for a tea, which came quickly and was served in a smart glass teapot. It was very busy but in a good way, there were plenty of staff on hand to cater. Slightly pricey but that is to be expected at a hotel in such a tourist-heavy location.

This hotel has it: very romantic, super central, good cuisine, good rooms, and a price to match the location, feels, and tourist interest. If you have the money to spare, this is the place to spend it.

Beautiful, nice Hotel. Fantastic view of Bamberg and close to the domsplatz - Bamberg-stranger in a dream. The Breakfast could offer more, but it was understandable, because our time is only 3-4 guests. What was offered was very tasty and sufficient. The rooms are very clean, large and nicely decorated. The Wi-Fi reception is excellent and free

Very quiet location but on foot or with the Bus at the Cathedral or in the city centre. Nice and helpful staff. The selection and especially the quality of the Breakfast is, considering the price, really very good. All round recommended!

Delicious cakes and coffee. Supplement: Breakfast buffet rather suboptimal. Small selection, quite carelessly arranged, not enough Croissants. Was already times better.

Our room was in modern accommodation outside the main building but that was fine for us. The room had a table and seating area inside and outside on our own patio, which was secluded from those on either side. Breakfast was inside the inn. There was plenty available and the owner ensured that we never ran out of anything. The area where the hotel was, was quiet at night.

A Bonus Star. We were in the Landgasthof Heerlein to lunch and had a good time. The weather was good, so that it could be nice to sit in the beer garden, the feature in accordance with yet comfortable. The waitresses were very fast, the food has not let to wait long. It was always at least one operation in the vicinity, so that you could at any time pay order / change/. Very positively noticed (bonus...
