Very friendly dutch couple hosting this hotel. Beautiful located and as a political/social scientist I was especially fascinated by the fact that this is just a few hundred meters from the old BRD/DDR-border. Here you can combine nature with fascinating historical sights. Very recommendable

We had a very nice short break in the hotel, the hotel and the garden are in a very well-kept condition I can only recommend it. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is superb. In winter you can find great slopes with ski lifts nearby. Summer leaves nothing to be desired for hikers and explorers. Have fun visiting, it's worth it!

This hotel exceeded our expectations by far. Nice, clean and quiet. In walking distance to the center of Braunlage. They even had storage for our bikes there. Fantastic breakfast. And most of all: Maybe the friendliest host I have ever experienced in any hotel on the world.

We spent a great week here, the location of the semi-detached house is quiet and idyllic and Hasselfelde is located overall in such a way that you can explore the whole Harz from the middle. Friendly and courteous staff, who accommodated us very obligingly. The location in Braunlage is also very good, the rooms are large and clean. Shower in the tub is not that nice. The hotel can certainly not do anything for the sometimes insane Corona requirements, but it makes the stay extremely uncomfortable, almost clinical.

Stay from December 30th, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022 I stayed in a single room (room 19). Everything was clean and tidy. Mrs. Hecker was friendly and so was the staff. The breakfast is good and tasty and it was always refilled. Price and performance were really good! I will gladly come again! 😊 1 point deduction because of the mattress, which needs to be replaced.

We love coming to the family run hotel. It's almost like coming home, not the usual breakfast buffet, the boss brings everything to the table and what you want.
