Even though the Hotel (especially the rooms) are a bit on the dated side, it's a very nice place to spend a few days while exploring the area. Breakfast was included, which makes up for it being rather basic, and other than a anemic WiFi speed, everything was above and beyond great.

Three buildings AT THE DOCK- the placement is ideal on the water. We had a family room- one of 2 at top floor of the ‘art nouveau’ building closest to dock- we had an entry way, Big bathroom, Massive main room with K bed , closets and 2 chairs, second room with K bed, closet. No fridge, no kettle, no AC, breakfast included on ground floor of nouveau building each morning. Well appointed breakfast.staff...

A beautiful hotel, awsome breakfast, the best location for lots of activities (with a covid test center at the end of the street). Plenty of parking. Reliable WiFi. A communal fridge in the downstairs corridor. A long bike stand outside the main entrance. Lots of local restaurants.

It's a bit pricey for the old rooms, especially bath room, but otherwise ok. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. We visited the hotel with two children. It happened and we checked in and checked out together with two other families. I noticed a different attitude to us who were not German to the other families who were German. Even to children. The other children were given a free book and sweets while ours were not. And that hit our kids hard...

A room with a view This property is in a very picturesque location right on the water. Many people have weddings here and I can see why. The rooms were spacious and modern with a large bathroom/shower. The breakfast was great with a large selection of lunch meats, cheeses, eggs, breads coffees and teas.

Short walk or taxi from hotel to the ferry landing that takes you around Lake Chiemsee, that allows for a quieter, more relaxing lake experience. Included breakfast buffet was in a beautiful setting. ALL staff were so friendly and helpful. Room had a nice balcony, overlooking the marina, and the lake. Highly recommend!

Beautiful traditional property

The view is beautiful and the food is delicious.

Stayed 2 nights. The bed was a little soft for my liking, but worked well. Breakfast was amazing, the view of the lake and surrounding area was fantastic. We walked to the ferry terminal which is about 1k (1/2 m) away. 4-5 dining options were also available near the terminal. The hot tub is outside the pool area, everything is very well kept.

A very beautiful place to stay. The free buffet was the best we have ever seen. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will diffinately return.

The food is really good and the rooms are nice. There are a lot of staff in training and the management feels rather chaotic but overall there is barely anything to complain about.

Friendly and helpful staff. The first impression is good, the hotel looks good. The check in was great, without any problems. The room was spacious and clean. The bed comfortable. Breakfast - a great choice, good coffee. We had an evening meal and it was good, large portion and tasty. The only negative point is that the parking space is not paved.

Good restaurant with delicious food and good service. Located right opposite to the harbour, which made the quest for restaurant (& food) after a day of sightseeing around the lake very pleasant. The Apfelstrudel was delicious; we tried it because of the Strudel day recommendation. I will recommend it to others.

The food in the hotel restaurant is delicious, and the fish is very famous, which is caught in the lake next to it. The waiter is very nice. The towels in the hotel were a bit dirty, but otherwise there was nothing wrong with it.

I was in this hotel with two friends and we had a fantastic meal here - the fish soup was really delicious and my friends' dishes were also great! The reason for the trip was a visit to Höfer Wolle and the overnight stay here was great!

Spectacular lakefront location. Quiet, yet close to major highways and Autobahn. Both for business travelers and for leisure travelers. excellent breakfast buffet, and also gourmet level fish for dinner. Room was freshly remodelled. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room and matrace. Friendly staff, we checked out in the morning and went for a day-long bike tour, came back dirty as pigs and were without problems allowed to take a shower in the hotel, so that we could sit back in the car clean again. Thanks!

it is a family run hotel on a scenic lake. it is a bit far from Bad Endorf, so without a car or a taxi it would be problematic to get there. Breakfast and sauna were good. most importantly staff was very friendly and helpful. thank you.

Great hotel with lovely staff, reasonably priced and well-equipped. Wifi is quite strong and free. Breakfast is one of the biggest advantages, because you find there everything you think of, including your-own made fresh eggs etc. Highly recommended!

The "garden rooms" (#17 & #18) are a bit disadvantaged - behind the house, small window in the main room, no window in the bathroom - but very clean and the beds are great. What really makes this place is the breakfast, though: great variety presented beautifully and with charm. Tasty, too. If you're a foodie, this will warm your heart. Nice place, recommended.

Extremely enjoyable stay! Wasn't going to be our original destination, nor our first choice, but boy I'm glad we ended up here! The lady's running the day to day are extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast is to die for! All in all a wonderful place to stay in Bavaria that feels like a wonderful hotel but also cozy in a way you can't get in a hotel. Would certainly recommend!

Beautifull family hotel with a good atmosphere because of the great family service. A very nice breakfast. And there's a shop downstairs where you can buy nice decoration stuff (e.g. in such case you fell in love with something used as a breakfast service :-))

We give this B&B type hotel 5 stars because of the wonderful family that owns and services it. There were some amenities that we're missing compared to a hotel situation, but if we needed anything all we had to do was ask and the family Staudinger was more than accommodating! We have plans to go back to enjoy the breakfast when family comes to visit and would consider staying there again.

Nice hotel in Chiemsee. Breakfast is excellent and owners really want to make your holiday best they can. They are really helpfull. Room is cosy, clean and there is lot of space and bed is excellent. Some of the rooms have own balcony. To the beach is 3 kilometres but it is easy to walk and when you are walking, look beautiful village full of beautiful houses.

Our small holiday consisted of 3 nights and 4 days. The owner Herr Mehlhart greeted us and signed us in for our stay personally. Right away, we felt the warmth and genuine friendliness from Herr Mehlhart. We stayed on the second floor in the "Studio Apartment". Wow! Talk about Ole Style Bavarian charm. We stayed there only for one night. This family-run hotel has an old Bavarian design what makes you feel like you are in a fairytale! This was a beautiful, comfortable hotel in a lovely city. The room was large, clean and luxurious feeling, and the surroundings breathtaking. The weather was extremely hot (30 degrees Celsius) so the lack of air conditioning was am issue, but the cool nights made up for that. The grounds were gorgeous and the breakfast buffet was a delight. We would definitely consider staying again.

Very friendly and polite Staff. The brealkfast buffet hat everything you could wish for and had everyday something new to offer. It was great. The swimming pool was also very nice. Being a British vedgetarian in the alps of Bravaria I knew that there were would problems with food. The stay at the Hotel Steffl was very nice and we felt very comfortable. We had a great time with our one-year-old daughter at the Chiemsee and in the mountains and felt absolutely welcome in the hotel! The hotel is very familiar and very, very friendly and clean. You feel welcome right from the start, you get enough information about excursion destinations and there is a sufficient breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. Inexpensive for Ruhpolding, although I don't know what it looks like when the Biathlon World Cup takes place there. We loved it and will come again. 👍👌 Thomas Felsch
