I think the hotel staff are not used to foreign guests. Mistakes were made on getting my reservation right - saying I had booked for two nights when it was three. The reservation confirmation was confusing because I check out on Tuesday but the billing and breakfast inclusion was only up to the Monday. I received the wrong bill at the Bavarian restaurant. We felt comfortable all around! The furnishings are wonderful, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is good. The breakfast is particularly outstanding - really top quality! I can also highly recommend the Goldener Pflug restaurant. The spa is wonderful and well-kept. We spontaneously decided to spend a night at Gut Ising and we didn't regret it. A sundowner on the terrace of the Il Cavallo restaurant, then a quick dip in the swimming pool and later in the evening we ate at the Goldener Pflug. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. I rarely write reviews, but this is appropriate. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, really not too expensive...

Not far from Munich you will find a beautiful hotel with a golf course, riding school and wellness! The rooms are large, it is quiet and very well maintained. On the road from Budapest to Switzerland. Great warm reception. We travelled with a standard poodle and were shown two rooms to choose from. One was more spacious and we chose that one. The hotel is OK. Rooms are spacious (even the single). The pool and sauna are good, however the restaurant is trying a bit too hard to be fabulous. The quality of the dishes is fair, the size and combination of flavours could be improved upon.

A nice place for a short stay. The hotel is an bit oldschool but the rooms are modern and well equipped. The staff didn't speak English so prepare a dictionary. Overall very positive: nice, calm and clean. Very good breakfast.

Very lovely place in the heart of country, very much off the beaten track. No elevator so too much of a chore to bring suitcases up to the rooms. Cheerful & helpful staff during breakfast which was a bit limited in the selection.

Friends of ours stayed here after a party and we joined at short notice for breakfast the next day. We received an extremely friendly welcome, the breakfast was good and inexpensive (even as external guests we only paid 7.50 including coffee). Simple and old look rooms - need to be refreshed because they were not so clean anymore :( But people here is kind and available. Stay one night and we had 3 rooms each one being nearly the same (1 double and 2 simple rooms) Room keys are usable for the entry door because there's no reception after 7pm.

Really enjoy staying there. They do need more lighting in the hallways and rooms especially using the keys they have.

Lovely stay We had a beautiful large and comfortable room with nice views. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The mattress was not firm enough for my taste but ok. The hotel is a little bit worn in some areas but we had reasonable room rates. The location is great for walking to town and trains.

Quirky. Staff is friendly and efficient. Check In is easy, before 21:30. After that you have to find a lock box, through the courtyard, in the dark, behind the hotel. Relatively old, traditional hotel that might have been a 4 or 5 star many years ago. The room was sufficient but lacked any kind of character. The service in the evening was non existent, the breakfast team very helpful instead. The location is great in the middle of the city

Unique and cute accommodation close to the Chiemsee. Basic but well thought out concept. The hall with it’s shared kitchen and generous seating area is well decorated and has cozy lighting. Spent a long weekend there with a group of friends, due to the number of people it was possible to rent the entire space, so we could sit undisturbed until 4 in the morning around the cozy campfire. Wonderful service, all requests could be met. The huts are well heated, despite the very fresh outside temperatures. Gladly again.

We were curious to see the Achental as one of Motel One Founder Dieter Müller's three luxury hotels. The others are the Kitzhof in Kitzbühel and the Chiemgauhof at Lake Chiemsee. This is nice huge estate. Location is a bit middle of nowhere. There is outdoor parking, also charging stations available. We had a great corner room. It was big, spacious bathroom, separate toilet, good shower. Good bed. The Garden Hotel Reinhart has more than earned its classification. Discovered it while passing through. Excellent lakeside location. Highly trained staff, well-maintained property, beautiful rooms, and a solid wellness area. You feel completely comfortable. The chef is skilled at his craft. Even though the Hotel (especially the rooms) are a bit on the dated side, it's a very nice place to spend a few days while exploring the area. Breakfast was included, which makes up for it being rather basic, and other than a anemic WiFi speed, everything was above and beyond great.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. We visited the hotel with two children. It happened and we checked in and checked out together with two other families. I noticed a different attitude to us who were not German to the other families who were German. Even to children. The other children were given a free book and sweets while ours were not. A room with a view This property is in a very picturesque location right on the water. Many people have weddings here and I can see why. The rooms were spacious and modern with a large bathroom/shower. The breakfast was great with a large selection of lunch meats, cheeses, eggs, breads coffees and teas.

The food in the hotel restaurant is delicious, and the fish is very famous, which is caught in the lake next to it. The waiter is very nice. The towels in the hotel were a bit dirty, but otherwise there was nothing wrong with it.

The "garden rooms" (#17 & #18) are a bit disadvantaged - behind the house, small window in the main room, no window in the bathroom - but very clean and the beds are great. What really makes this place is the breakfast, though: great variety presented beautifully and with charm. Tasty, too. If you're a foodie, this will warm your heart. Nice place, recommended.

Extremely enjoyable stay! Wasn't going to be our original destination, nor our first choice, but boy I'm glad we ended up here! The lady's running the day to day are extremely helpful and kind. We give this B&B type hotel 5 stars because of the wonderful family that owns and services it. There were some amenities that we're missing compared to a hotel situation, but if we needed anything all we had to do was ask and the family Staudinger was more than accommodating! We have plans to go back to enjoy the breakfast when family comes to visit and would consider staying there again.

Nice hotel in Chiemsee. Breakfast is excellent and owners really want to make your holiday best they can. They are really helpfull. Room is cosy, clean and there is lot of space and bed is excellent. Some of the rooms have own balcony. To the beach is 3 kilometres but it is easy to walk and when you are walking, look beautiful village full of beautiful houses.

Our small holiday consisted of 3 nights and 4 days. The owner Herr Mehlhart greeted us and signed us in for our stay personally. Right away, we felt the warmth and genuine friendliness from Herr Mehlhart. We stayed on the second floor in the "Studio Apartment". Wow! Talk about Ole Style Bavarian charm. William and Dorothy were wonderful hosts during our 4 night stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent each morning with a wide variety of dishes for every pallet.

We stayed there only for one night. This family-run hotel has an old Bavarian design what makes you feel like you are in a fairytale! This was a beautiful, comfortable hotel in a lovely city. The room was large, clean and luxurious feeling, and the surroundings breathtaking. The weather was extremely hot (30 degrees Celsius) so the lack of air conditioning was am issue, but the cool nights made up for that. The grounds were gorgeous and the breakfast buffet was a delight. We would definitely consider staying again.

Our stay at Hotel Bonnschlössl Bernau am Chiemsee was fabulous! The staff is just great, attentive in every way! Most comfortable room with such incredible views of the Swiss Alps! And delicious food and beverages! I love this destination and will gladly stay there again!
