Position of a hotel is very good, if one is comming with a car. I think that a rooms are small, withouth a desk, where one can put his laptop to work or to read (book, newspaper or something else). One has literally a possibility to either be in bed or to get out of a hotel. Bed is confortable and big enough. Everything is new. While checking out this morning the manager at the hotel said the credit card Trip.com provided kept getting declined, so we were forced to pay twice. While I understand there was an issue with the trip.com payment, this should be handled by the hotel and the booking service. I have been a guest at this hotel for years and have always felt comfortable. Unfortunately, that has changed. The rooms are still OK, but some are pretty worn out. Breakfast is overpriced for the service! And the price shown when booking is not the final price, there is also 10% accommodation tax! You might as well include that! Parking costs money too, but half the parking lot is full of junk cars...

Easy to access as it is very close to a motorway exit, the hotel is nevertheless very quiet. The rooms are comfortable, particularly the bedding, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Recommended, value for money is very good

I recently stayed here for a week and have to say that the staff here are AMAZING!!! Ute was especially helpful. The full breakfast buffet is really good with lots of choice. I will miss the coffee. The hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable allowing for a good night's sleep.

I stayed here for a week and found the hotel to be quite acceptable in nearly all regards. My room was small but that is not unusual in Europe particularly in the older style hotels, but it was clean and tidy. They lacked a room safe which wasn’t great. Very quiet hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet is very good, could be less pork and more poultry sausage for those who do not eat pork. The night staff is very helpful when needed. I'll be back next weekend.

The hotel is really nice and the stuff is friendly. There are a few things that can be improved. Tv didn’t work in our room, and the only one solution was to switch the room. Also, even if the hotel is nearby the main road, you cannot hear anything. One big plus is that they have a charging station for electric cars.

Quiet, clean and great value for money!

Breakfast is still the same as it was a few years ago. The difference is that the homemade waffle machine is gone, but there is a bread machine, which is not bad. In addition, the sparkling water in the room is 3.5€.

It was outdated and the stay was average. It was near the freeway and had its advantage but quite noisy when you open the window( there is no AC, and the room was hot during July). Overall it was fine

Bed had stains, otherwise the room was clean. The room was on the ground floor and there were prickly bushes in front of the window.

Hotel is surrounded by not much tourist attractions however all shops for food etc are very close by. Buffet and activities to do nearby. Hotel is surrounded by very quite surrounding. We stay here 2 times on our way to Poland. And Back. Food is very good Bar staff the Guy there was Fantastic he worked on cruise ships he had excellent customer service I would just go back just because of him. The Rooms are clean Bed comfortable you're have a shower gel and hair dryer in your room only thing I would say is tea coffee to be put in the Rooms

Dortmund Mercure is a typical business hotel with minimum frills. It’s more appropriate for solo travelers but the bed and room can be comfortable for couples. In the city center, it is convenient for eating and shopping, but it is inconvenient for parking. They don't have their own parking lot. The room doesn't have a good view, but the room is very clean and the service staff are very warm and friendly.

Close to the main station about 7 minutes walk. Secure at night and sometimes offer late check outs when it’s not too busy for those with very late flights which is one of the main reasons why I keep going back. A bit out dated on the decor but it’s ok for the price.

The rooms are simple but with a home like feel, good matrasses which is often a problem for me with my back, the breakfast felt classic German, simple but good. The only down side for us is the fact we had a room close to the stairs and at the bottom of the stair is a door whit a spring which slams shut, some dampening on the door with for example some pads would make this problem a lot better. Excellent location, great price & friendly staff. Our small dog was able to join us, which is always a bonus! The private parking had maybe 10 spots, our SUV fit just fine! Breakfast was buffet style and delicious!

Perfect location for Messe Halle, only a 10min walk. Our room was ok, very simple and clean. Breakfast was good. Multiple restaurants near by, our favorite was Mongo's and a sushi place about a 8min walk away. Very expesive rate per night during the Jagd&Hund Messe, double the usual rate!! It's really a value for money. 5m walk from Hauptbahnhof and good price with breakfast. I paid 60 Euros. Attention that is located in a dodgy area, if you are ok with that it's good value. Rooms are outdated and not very enhanced. Some dirty corners and shared areas even more dirty.

Good little budget hotel, a bit worn and rough around the edges, but good size rooms and just about clean enough to spend a short time in central Dortmund. Lots of good amenities around and it's a very vibrant and diverse area.

A very nice and cozy place with all the essential things. Very close to city centre and has a bahn station right outside. Very nice and sweet staff made my stay very pleasant. The continental breakfast is very filling and tasty.

Clean and big rooms, super friendly staff. The hotel is located near a local supermarket and is within walking distance of Dortmund Center. If you come by car, you can park your car for free behind the hotel, which is a big plus. If you're staying in Dortmund, this is probably one of the better hotels for a smaller price.

Nice quiet place to stay for one night

I had a great time at the hotel, the staff were great, they were very helpful to me, they couldn't do enough for you. they are worth 20 out of 10 for friendliness and helpfulness. the place is kept very clean and the food is great. would recommend anyone to stay there, as I will again.

We booked this hotel last minute on the way to Poland. We only paid £40 a night and were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hotel. Room was fairly clean, the bedding and towels were nice and fresh.Polite and friendly stuff. Very close to the transit motorway,so if you looking for a break in your journey this is the place. Highly recommend!

We’ve booked this hotel last minute on the way to UK just to sleep overnight and were very nicely surprised. Generously sized and clean room, friendly hotel staff and amazing breakfast! Definitely recommend.

I had a good stay at this hotel. Rooms were a little dated but suited the building. Boasts sky tv but have very little channels. Breakfast buffet was a winner. Cold items were kept in fridges. Weirdly enough this is not the same for other German hotels that I have stayed in. Had a good nights sleep.

Room size and location are very good. The only two problems in my room, which was in the 4th floor, is that the chauffage have a very loud voice, probably broken although it was giving heat in the room. The second problem is the pub in the building of the hotel, but for me wasn’t a big problem since i enjoyed the vibes. The self check in is easy to use..

Very modern, new and very well located for the price. Cleanliness is also good, only storage space / surfaces (side table, desk, etc.) were missing in the room. In addition, there was a somewhat unpleasant smell in the bathroom, but this disappeared when the room was aired.

This gem of a place is located in the outskirts of Dortmund. The quality of food is very good with lots of Vegetarian options and salads. Their breads are awesome 👌

The food was very good indeed. The place seems frozen in time. Everything moves at a slow pace. So, if you are in a hurry and want a quick bite, this is probably not the place for you. If you have time and want a gourmet German meals, this is a great spot.
