Where to stay in Dortmund

Good location, Garage 9€ a day,No coffee maker in the room, bed is great. Only the essential equipment and needs are there.

It is a very good hotel, convenient location, friendly service, and delicious breakfast. I strongly suggest one who like to visit Ruhr staying here, you will enjoy everything.

About the hotel; good rooms with good complementary breakfast. All basic and shopping located close by. Great food just a walk away. City centre.

Good location for town, railways, Dortmund stadium etc etc. Clean hotel, comfortable rooms, nice bathroom, good bar with fantastic lady working it. Unfortunately while we stayed there, there was a concert being held locally and we had, I think (!) the whole orchestra practising in rooms on our level .... was not happy!, why would they not tell you OR put all the orchestra together in different part...

Just arrived and love it already! Rooms are spacious and one can feel the German attention detail in the chic modern finishings and lighting in the room. Haven't tried the breakfast yet but the staff and friendly and mini bar well stocked with snacks and drinks!

Hotel was great. Staff were helpful. Beside the train station so very confident. Restaurant within walking distance.

A great hotel with great service and comfortable rooms! I felt very comfortable there! The proximity to the main train station, the subway and the city center is ideal! Everything is within 5 minutes' walk.

Very friendly staff, clean, modern ambience and a really delicious breakfast with a large selection. The mattress was very comfortable and perfect for my back. I would stay there again anytime.

A really great hotel, if not the best in Dortmund. Amazing service, comfortable beds and spacious, modern rooms invite you to linger and work. I always enjoy coming here and am always pleased with the friendly staff.

Overall, the stay at the hotel was very successful. What we didn't like was the lack of a night light in the bathroom. We had to go to the toilet in the dark because there was only one sliding glass door. The lighting was very bright and could not be changed. In addition, the mattresses were relatively hard.

Everything was very good: great location, reception staff, food variety at breakfast, new renovation. Except room cleaning: one day the girl forgot to put water, the other day - to add coffee. Once she did not take the trash and never vacuumed. For 4* hotel it should be done. am I not right?

There was all OK. The best breakfast with wide kinds of foods (muesli, yogurts, dried fruits, nuts, sausages, pancakes, bacon, sweets, coffee, tea, juices, salmon, cheeses, Hamon, eggs (fried, omelet and boiled), jams, fruits, beans, roaster vegetables.... There were clean in all territory in the hotel. The best Wi-Fi. The location is good. 5 minutes to the shopping street and ancient center, 5-7 minutes...

The room is nice and cozy, the breakfast is really nice and the people are quite welcoming. Only one weird thing happened: in 4 days being here not once was my room cleaned, didnt get any new towels and nothing. Otherwise if you are not shy and can ask for room service ita a nice place to stay

The room was very nice and clean, and the wifi worked well on the 2nd floor although without a very strong signal. The bathroom was of a weird design with little space in the toilet and shower area. Is it better? Im not sure. I guess it is a very subjective to judge. My booking was done wothout the use of a credit card and paid buy other means. Therefore, i had to pay for the restaurant on the spot...

Good hotel with great breakfast. The hotel rooms provide sufficient space. The hotel is not directly located to public transport. However, it is still in walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. Service personal was nice and friendly.

This could really be a good hotel. It's in walking distance for the stadium and nearby congress area. But the wifi is horrible and nearly no mobile data available at the rooms. I had to be at the lobby to phone. Also my room was located near one of the two elevators, so a lot of noise during the night and mornings. Staff would not give a discount. So ask for a room with windows to the street, to avoid...

The rooms are spacious, clean ans well-kept. The Staffel ist allways friendly and courteous. The richtig and fresh breakfest ist very great! My only criticism is the WiFi which is sometimes slow. I like coming here when I'm in Dortmund, unfortunately it's often booked Up.

Had our stay here whilst exhibiting at the ADAC SIM expo. All the staff were amazing and extremely helpful. The rooms and public areas were kept very clean and tidy. The standout star for our stay was Steven (restaurant/Bar staff). He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Great guy to talk to and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here couple nights. It’s a good hotel. Some stuff is old. The bed is ok. The breakfast is great and rich. There is a sauna and a pool. But the pool was under renovation. There is no fridge in the room, which is not convenient. Otherwise, the room is well equipped. The parking lot is too small. Once we found the cover on the floor after room cleaning. The staff is friendly.

Close to stadium During euro 2024 barely visible sings that roads will be shut. Front desk didn't bother remind the visitors about closing the area no way in and out using car.

Situated right next to the arena of the bvb club. You have a great view of the arena from the windows. The hotel is also very close to a congress center and subway station. The service was nice and the rooms are well maintained. The beds where okay although nothing special. Parking shouldn't be a problem if there aren't any big events happening around.

I was here for 3 days and the staff is welcoming.They do whatever for clients to feel like their homes.At morning,it has a lot of varieties to eat.I'm so pleasant about this hotel.I hope to back again!

The good: spacious rooms, balcony, close to city center (with car). The bad: no airco, no fridge, no kettle, paid coffee (coffee machine available in room, you have to buy coffee cups from the reception - 1.50 euro a piece). Parking is a mix: there are some parking spaces of the hotel, but the spaces are tight. Couldn't find an available spot each time, but enough free parking spaces on the street...

All the rooms have unique designs from Arabian nights to Shades of Grey. Most of them with a large golden bathtub and a steam bath/sauna in the room. Also a small balcony is part of the room. We would definitely go back and try some other room design.

Had booked on the same day and was astonished by the price. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but seems to have been renovated not too long ago (furniture, bathroom, walls). The bed was comfortable and the area is quiet as was the room. Very comfortable hotel and also close to Dortmund airport. The bed was really comfy, inside design is beautiful and the service you get is very good. The parking in the hotel courtyard is limited, however there is plenty of free parking on the curb side around the area. Overall good value for money, definitely recommended.

1 min from train station, 2 min walk to main shopping street, less than 30 min walk to football stadium. Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable and friendly hotel within walking distance of the football stadium and the exhibition centre. Good breakfast but haven't tried the restaurant.

Only stayed there for one night at the weekend for the Comic Con right around the corner but I had a great time. Simple check in, no problems with adding breakfast to our reservation (we had a room for three people) and a small but yet comfortable room. WiFi, TV and a small bathroom were all included, the breakfast in the community room downstairs was very good! Will definitely come back for another...

Good place for one or two nights. Next to the stadium an congress hall. If you like hard mattresses it you place but if you prefer soft mattresses you shouldn't stay longer then two nights. The breakfast is good for that price... Nothing special but some fresh fruits and buns.

Decent hotel. Beautiful place. I got some mixed feelings. The rooms are ok, the service is OK but some of the features are just majestic. There is nearly something not matching. That is disturbing.

At the photos everything looks great,but the room was very comfortable,as the bed was against the door,though was an oversize room window was facing the road and all the time was noise. The hotel did not eat,so the kitchen can not say anything. Beautiful first floor and the stairs,when settled whether shooting a wedding,or movie. The room was comfortable and so was the bed. I like the modern contemporary design.the bathroom was clean and had ample space. I like that they did not make the shower area tiny. Will be staying here again next time I find myself in Dortmund.

Minutes walk away from the Dortmund Hbf train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was really tidy and clean. We were out all day in the cold and the feeling after checked into a warmed up clean room and having a hot shower was so wonderful.

Very clean, very modern, really friendly staff and well located. Ground floor has a supermarket too, to handy to pick items up from. Rooms basic but entirely functional. Bathroom spacious, very modern and kept spotless.

The city is located at the very center. Maybe the area is not the best, but the hotel is. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. With very nice staff and a good breakfast. Clean and nice decorated.

I'd like to recommend this hotel. The room was pretty good. Eventhough it may be a little old, the room was well furnished. All the employees were very kind. Good location within city center. Close to shopping, restaurants, and trains. Included breakfasts is good. Parking garage under hotel was unavailable during my stay, but a parking garage 2 minutes away was available for about 12 euro a day. Street parking available but limited.

I always enjoy staying at the Drees Hotel because the overall picture is very consistent. The staff is very friendly and polite, the food in the evening is very good and the day starts off perfectly with a great breakfast buffet. As a frequent traveler, I have no reason to complain. I can recommend everyone to stay here.

Very good hotel. The rooms are big enough, modernly furnished and very clean. If there are no more parking spaces in the yard, there is also the possibility of parking in the underground car park. Free public parking is also available right next to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All questions are answered very quickly and competently. Tried the pop-up beer garden for the European Football Championship and was very pleased. You sit comfortably, the service is attentive, the courtyard is well decorated with umbrellas and market stalls.

Very nice and clean hotel with excellent cuisine. You feel comfortable as a guest here. There are enough parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. The hotel also has its own paid parking. The rooms are great and the staff is very friendly. Only the WLAN registration is not suitable for me, but the Signak coverage is very good.

Perfect location for Messe Halle, only a 10min walk. Our room was ok, very simple and clean. Breakfast was good. Multiple restaurants near by, our favorite was Mongo's and a sushi place about a 8min walk away. Very expesive rate per night during the Jagd&Hund Messe, double the usual rate!! And for the room we got absolutely OVERPRICED.. There is a TV but not many good channels available, a lot of them...

Best location in town. Our twin-room (109) was wonderful. We were not disturbed from streetnoise though 1:st floor. 20€ for parking can seem too much, but the location cost. Thick duvet and plastic cover on the matress I threw away. PS. If I had stayed in 119, same category, 2 stars had been my choise.

The hotel itself is nice, friendly staff and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet selection is good. But avoid the rooms facing the “Kleppingstrasse”! It’s one of the main entrance roads to the inner city and lots of folks walking by are noisy (some seem to be drunk) and the kids roll by with the car stereo on max. volume. Even my room was somehow in the labyrinth of hugely hotel, the comfort of room was maximum! The internet connection very good! The heating not very well during the winter time, with strongly winds how we're last week, but in any case in rest, almost perfect! Very good continental breakfast and kind personal! Nice property in the city centre walkable from train station. On-site paid parking is available. Staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed in this hotel on business trip for a week. Buffet breakfast has options for vegetarian diet which is quite nice. Watching sunrise from my 4th floor room was quite beautiful.

It's really a value for money. 5m walk from Hauptbahnhof and good price with breakfast. I paid 60 Euros. Attention that is located in a dodgy area, if you are ok with that it's good value. Rooms are outdated and not very enhanced. Some dirty corners and shared areas even more dirty.

Good little budget hotel, a bit worn and rough around the edges, but good size rooms and just about clean enough to spend a short time in central Dortmund. Lots of good amenities around and it's a very vibrant and diverse area.

Clean and big rooms, super friendly staff. The hotel is located near a local supermarket and is within walking distance of Dortmund Center. If you come by car, you can park your car for free behind the hotel, which is a big plus. If you're staying in Dortmund, this is probably one of the better hotels for a smaller price.
