Decent hotel for single night. Spacey rooms, renovated bathrooms. Some may complain it is rather cold in the rooms (due to size?).

Not close to a ciggar
The bed mattress smelled from something not so nice. The toilet clogged and shower did not drain. No sorry but this stay did not elevate any feelings more then just want to leave. Sorry.

Very nice place for an overnight stay

Me and my kids spent two days here, I enjoyed it very much. The rooms are nice but not my taste when, staying at a hotell but clean and functional, more a question of taste and expectations/opinions, still good. The people working there are nice/awesome, helpful and for us that don't speak fluent German, very good in English. The dinners we had was perfect, the kids loved the childrens menu and I really liked their schnitzel. I didn't feel that it was to pricey either. All in all I am happy we spent the evenings here and I recommend it strongly as long as you aren't looking for pool or similar facilities. Take a walk in the woods, I recommend it highly.

Great typical country hotel
Great typical German country hotel/Gasthause. Nice greeting and showed us to to our rooms. The rooms were nice clean and specious.

Myself, a german living abroad and my family, seasoned travellers to Germany for several years felt a great sense of positive nostalgia when we stayed over at the Hotel Schnehagen.
The rooms were clean and roomy, good size bathrooms and beds. The style of furniture reminded us all of the German hotels of past years, in a very positive, genuine way.
The food in the hotel restaurant threw us back into the kitchen of my grandmother, featuring genuine well cooked german food. Simple, easy but so so tasty. Wonderful to have been able to enjoy the dishes made by the chef.
We will stay again at the Hotel Schnehagen, no doubt about it.

The property is located on the outskirts of town so there's little audible traffic noise.
The hotel is quaint and typically German in style.
The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was that it lacks a lift to the 1st floor which may be an issue for guests with various mobility problems.

Good food and very friendly staff. Clean room and a good breakfast. Easy and convenient to get to from the autobahn.
