We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good! Local dishes but a bit more refined. Very nice service

All good, nice portions, local and seasonal ingredients. Very nice selection of whiskey and other schnapps! We didn't drink them but surely it's not common. Dessert was great!

Just reviewing the restaurant. This is my favourite restaurant to visit in the Black Forest and it is the service that really makes it for me. The waitstaff is professional and attentive and always have a fitting recommendation from the wine menu. The atmosphere is charming and cozy and the food is always very tasty.

We went for a lovely diner at Restaurant Peterle. They provided a menu that is translated to English which is very nice. They offer daily menus as well. The food is very delicious and they offer a lot of explanation with the dishes. We are coming again!

What a beautiful hotel inside and out, stunning location amidst the Black Forest but only 5 mins walk from the local train station with regular free (with the guestcard they provide free at check in) trains all around the region. The family who own it and their staff are all really lovely and kind. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the food in the restaurant for dinner and the included breakfast is fantastic! I only stayed one night but wished I was staying longer, highly recommended winter (there is skiing in the village) or summer, a lovely place indeed!

Very good done really well. Modern room without any unnecessary luxuries. Excellent shower. Good toilet and bed. Room as per pictures on the hotel website. Breakfast and dinner (half board) are excellent. Parking on site is free. Garage (indoor) is optional. Friendly staff. Plenty of daytrip walking options within 45 minutes drive; a few within 10 minutes. Pricing has excellent price-quality ratio. Free WiFi in the room, but no wifi in the restaurant, apparently by choice. No desk to work in the room. Balcony with some rooms.

Excellent cuisine, great modern hotel in a lovely landscape

We dropped into the restaurant after a long, hot day of traveling, feeling a bit disheveled. We were welcomed courteously and shown our table right away. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful with menu suggestions. The menu was interesting, inspired by local, fresh ingredients and some innovative flavours, such as a homemade pine-tip limonade. I had fish, and my companions had a trio of beef (shoulder, liver and sweetbreads), a pasta with chanterelles, tomatoes and herbs, and locally raised chicken with summer vegetables. All of us were very happy with our meals. The wine list included many interesting wines, it was difficult to choose! We can definitely recommend the restaurant, and if the staff at the hotel is as friendly and helpful, it must be a lovely place to stay.
