We picked this hotel and location for our first vacation with our puppy, and it was such a pleasant experience. The staff, location and offering of the hotel made it relaxing and fun for both us and the puppy. There are lots of things to do in the area and our highlight was the dog friendly lake a short distance away.

I visit this hotel last year and it's still the best hotel I have ever been to! The staff were so kind, the rooms were clean the food was amazing and the view was just like as if you're in a picture! 100% worth visiting

Very attentive, friendly staff. The rooms are clean and, in my opinion, equipped with everything you need. The breakfast offers a good selection. Bread rolls must be ordered the day before. In bad weather, the sauna and swimming pool are inviting, which are also very clean. A very beautiful pond is within walking distance. Definitely recommended.

Just reviewing the restaurant. This is my favourite restaurant to visit in the Black Forest and it is the service that really makes it for me. The waitstaff is professional and attentive and always have a fitting recommendation from the wine menu. The atmosphere is charming and cozy and the food is always very tasty.

We went for a lovely diner at Restaurant Peterle. They provided a menu that is translated to English which is very nice. They offer daily menus as well. The food is very delicious and they offer a lot of explanation with the dishes. We are coming again!

I stayed here in the late 80's and early 90's for family skiing vacation finding it online brings back so many great memories for me. I hope someday to return to visit the Sonneck and the Feldberg-Schwarzwald area. I am happy to see that this place is still vibrant and well run.

We stayed in apartment 1 for a short skiing holiday. The booking was quick and easy. The apartment is clean and cozy, the kitchen is well equipped. The contact with the landlords was friendly and pleasant.

Overall the apartment is fine and very well located within 30min drive to enough sights to fill a week. The hochschwarzwald card is an excellent benefit as well. Amazing food and drinks served by friendly and funny staff. Most of the ingredients are delivered by local producers and the quality of the food is outstanding! The view from the balcony is pretty nice. You can spot some cows, hills and a pretty view down the little valley. It is further away from tourist traps and I would consider it a hidden gem of the area.

At first, we were disappointed that we were given a studio uphill from the beautiful house pictured here, but soon found out that it was a new elegant and spacious room overlooking the lake with our own terrace. We only ate at their restaurant, and were we happy to have stopped here?!?! There is a wonderful view over Lake Titisee and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and service friendly. Parking available but limited. There is also a small place where children can play after having eaten. There is easy access down to the lake, after having eaten.

Very nice hotel with just 18 rooms. All rooms have a balcony or terrace, a free safe and a free Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi reception is good, but the uplink fails every now and then, but who cares: you're on vacation! The rooms do not have a mini bar, but there is a shared fridge on the groundfloor you can use. Front of house needs attention ! Not a friendly welcome …asked if we could get help with the bags due to bedroom was on the second floor …I ended up having to make 2 trips as they said they were very busy !!!! Overall we would say this hotel is in a perfect position in Hinterzarten but we would say the offer from the hotel is not of good value we are sorry to say !!

This was my 3rd visit to Hotel Thomahof so clearly I have been satisfied. I like the spa and wellness facilities and they were never too crowded. The new rocking beds in the relaxing room are HEAVEN. I think I‘d come back just for them. Food quality is also very good and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The gym is small but had everything I needed and I had it to myself.

We lacked nothing. The service was excellent, the staff always friendly. The food in the restaurant was above average, as was the breakfast. The wellness area is a dream with a wonderful view. We will definitely be back and recommend this hotel 100%!

We stayed for five nights and only requested for room keeping twice during the whole stay. What felt like a hidden gem We had a fantastic week here with our extended family, facilities and service was superb from concierge to dining. Would highly recommend and definitely go back.

We have stayed in the Vier Jahreszeiten in Schluchsee for probably the last seven or eight years. My wife and I spent a week at Waldhotel Fehrenbach last September and had a wonderful time. The rooms are clean, modern and pleasant to stay in, but not luxurious. Herr Fehrenbach is a great chef and very knowledgeable about wine. He knows a lot about the plants and mushrooms that grow in the surrounding woods and uses this expertise to the benefit of his guests by cooking wonderful, locally sourced...

We have 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Josef is a great person. We felt immediately welcomed and so well taken care of. He is an amazing cook and loves his job! Diners and breakfasts are delicious and abondant. Rooms are very comfortable and surroundings are beautiful, peaceful. Extremely well located for trekking, cycling. We really recommend. After visiting many Michelin Star Restaurants all over the world, it's not easy to impress me. Mr. Fehrenbach did so! His incredible knowledge about accompanying wines makes the delicious meals even better. The whole evening was truly inspiring. He invited us into his kitchen to show various methods of cooking, e.g. smoked vegetables. Again very professional with an impressive knowledge of cooking...

What a great place. It wasn't busy so we got the full attention of the owner. The food was almost all locally grown and had a mix of mountain herbs. Would definitely go back

The hotel is quite old and stuck in time. The owner, however, was very nice. The breakfast is very basic, but okay for 10 euros. We had a room facing the street, which was quite loud. We paid 125 euros per night, but unfortunately, it wasn't worth it.

The room was clean, but although everything was funtioning, the room really needed an update.

Family-run hotel, overall good, and clean. Furniture is quite old-fashioned (but there's no moquette...good!), and bathrooms would need a renovation (but water flow was very good). (Free) parking space in front of the hotel.

The hotel staff tried very hard and made a great service. Great value for money. There is nothing to complain about.
