Hotel am Dom

A nice hotel for business or peasure. Good breakfast with a wide choice of options and fast, friendly service.

I visited Fulda to attend the open air concert by Patti Smith. This hotel was ideally situated near the Domplatz where the concert was held. For a 3 star hotel this place was excellent. Really comfortable room at the rear of the hotel with a lovely view to the Kloster Frauenberg on the hill. No noise whatsoever in a very nice neighbourhood which is worth walking around and away from the busier spots in Fulda. The staff were all very friendly and there was a good selection of meats, cheeses, muesli and bread for breakfast. All areas were really clean and the ensuite bathroom had a decent shower. Only a 2 minute walk to the Wiesenmuhle Brauhaus which serves good food. I would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel am Dom if visiting the town.

We visited Fulda to see the Tom Jones concert on the 21st July 2022 (which was just wonderful and magical) and stayed at the Hotel at the Dom.
The hotel is located in a very quiet area and just a short walking distance from the dom and the city.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, our room was very spacious and brigthly decorated, the beds super comfy and the bathroom was the one we would like to have at home. We loved to open the windows and not having aircondition.
Breakfast was just a delight. Such a great variety of bread, muesli, cheese, cold-cuts, fruits and eggs. The staff was replenishing constantly.
There is no mini-bar in the rooms, however you could get cold drinks and snacks from a vending machine on ground floor (great prices and glasses and botttle opener supplied)
If we will be back in Fulda, we certainly will stay again at the Hotel at the Dom.

Pro: Very clean. Polite staff. Well maintained room and equipment.
Contract: No air-conditioning (!!!!???). Although placed on a small lane, the environment is noisy: very popular restaurant in 200 meters.

Good hotel with sufficient parking on walking distance/in the city centre. This area of the city is filled with old and beautiful buildings, walls etc. The hotel rooms were modern, clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was good with very hospitable hosts. All in all a great hotel and location.

Rooms were basic. Very clean and well maintained. Great breakfast. Great location to walk the city or the neighborhood. Beautiful tree lined streets and attractions just outside the front door. The staff was very kind and helpful even though my German was rusty. Oh! And the restaurants near by served delicious authentic German food and drink. Fulda is a beautiful city and worthy of few days to see the cathedral, churches and the palace.
