Located at the beautiful Southern tip of Rügen. Spacious apartments. Very clean and modern. Great lounge area that does serve food and drink (limited menu). There’s a handy tiny store that has the necessities for preparing some meals in the apartment.

The hotel is small but nice. A buffet in the morning is certainly better than ready-made plates at the table, but we were full and had some choice. And the breakfast service makes everything a little more pleasant with their very nice and funny manner. The area is very quiet and the beach is less than a two-minute walk away. We would come again 🙂

Small but fine hotel near the beach. Restaurant with a selection of hot and cold dishes to take away directly in the hotel. The beach is 10 meters away behind the dunes. It is possible to rent a beach chair on a daily basis at very favorable conditions (also for non-hotel guests). Hotel Eldena is located just outside of Göhren, but has direct access to the beach. Otherwise you have to be good on foot or by bike to go to another inn etc. to eat. The hotel looks great from the outside, but not to my taste on the inside. The mattresses were much too soft for us (but we didn't say anything because we were only there for 3 days). I really liked the modern room, very good WiFi, good TV, balcony, bathroom from Duravit. I recommend booking breakfast. I didn't like the permanently running water in the toilet. There were certainly 4 liters per minute running through - so 5760 liters per day! I didn't feel good about supporting such a waste.

The service in general is so good. I arrived early morning (10am) and they gave me my room without extra amount. All the women in the hotel (reception, housekeeping, restaurant) were so kind and sweet. And I loved the breakfast!! The only “bad” thing is that it is not front the beach, you have to walk around 15min .

We stayed in a junior suite with sea view and balcony in the Hotel Stranddistel for 8 days, it was a dream vacation. Even from bed you could enjoy the endless expanse of the Baltic Sea and, if you were early enough, the sunrise. Nice room, clean, quiet. What is a bit annoying is that breakfast is in the other hotel. Two hotels are apparently put together for breakfast, which leads to waiting times in front of the door, so another solution should be found as soon as possible.

Very nice staff, in the hotel, reception, "Zum Kranich" (especially Mrs. Kaiser in the service) cleaning. The family room was a good size, daily cleaning. The food was varied, fresh and tasty. We spent a wonderful holiday in the hotel "Strandallee". The family room with a balcony was clean and we had enough space. The service team was always friendly and courteous. Breakfast and dinner in the "beach hotel" was delicious and the staff always courteous. We would love to come back.

I was a guest at the hotel with my wife. We were overwhelmed by the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Every wish was fulfilled immediately. The location of the hotel is also fantastic, as the beach is only a few meters away. We felt completely at ease and it won't be the last time that we have been there. It was very good. Full of burgers. What I found really great was that on the one hand we got a table spontaneously and the kids had something to draw so the waiting time (which was not very long) was more bearable. The service was very good.

We really enjoyed our time in Wald hotel. Comfy beds, modern decoration, a correct breakfast, friendly staff and very helpful with all information of sellin and transports. The only thing we missed a bit was the possibility to have some tea in the room before sleep.

Receptionists should know about the best local hiking trail from Sassnitz to Königstuhl, but instead they said “You cannot hike there”. We did in fact hike 8km that day. Not very helpful staff in this regard.

The whole experience was great from the friendly receptionist, the cosy ambiance of the lobby with the candles all over. I travel a lot and spend around 150 days in hotels around the world. I expected more from a 5-star hotel. Positive: the location right on the beach, perfect breakfast, first-class staff. I didn't like the room facilities: the furnishings were OK, the electrical fittings were outdated (the same as they were 20 years ago), the bathroom was OK but nothing special for a 5-star hotel, the bed... well.....

We had a special time here. The hotel is in a great location right on the promenade, but in a quiet part. Breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the sea and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and polite. We'll be back.
