The view of the lake and mountains were gorgeous! The breakfast was good! Jams and bread were fresh everyday.

I stopped for dinner there spontaneously and was positively surprised. Delicious food and friendly specialist staff. We'd love to come back.

In all honesty ... it was an incredibly beautiful holiday and I could go into a lot of detail now, but I'll just name keywords like: excellent view, comfortable beds, everything always clean, sufficient parking spaces and safe spaces for bicycles, extremely friendly owners as well as friendly and caring staff, who responded immediately to small requests (special requests for breakfast), chilled drinks...

I stayed here for one week in June 2020, single room. The location in Hagnau is perfect! Very close to the lake and an easy bike ride to Meeersburg, Friedrichshafen, Überlingen.... The hotel room was very comfortable and modern. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was served at the table instead of buffet (Corona), which was no problem. A wonderful stay, I´ll be back!

For many years we have only been spending our holidays on Lake Constance in the Hotel freisicht in Hagnau. An absolutely stunning location with view over Lake Constance (Bodensee). We were surrounded by vineyards and orchards and the hotel is perfect for anyone wishing to have a quiet holiday. Years ago we stayed at this hotel and were more than satisfied. The breakfast was really great and we'll order the great gin today. The only thing that bothered us was the open plan bathroom. I'm sitting on our balcony and I see a fantastically beautiful garden with a great pool, surrounded by vines and a fantastic view of the lake and the Alps. First, the hotel has very large (family) rooms which is a plus. service, breakfasts are also a plus. The location is not the best, because the hotel is surrounded by houses, and to get to the lake you have to tire a bit.

The Hotel Alpina is a family-run hotel in which we felt very comfortable. The room is bright and friendly furnished. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, the service is very friendly and quick in the service. From the balcony you can see Lake Constance.

Great restaurant! Some portion size considerations (my starter was like a meal) can be smaller to not waste food. Super fresh, high quality, nice atmosphere, great service. We didn’t speak a word of German and our server didn’t speak English, but we felt super taken care of, and attentive to every detail.

We went to dinner at the restaurant for my mother's birthday and were fully satisfied. The quality of the food is great, the staff exceptionally friendly and professional, and the location perfect with the view on the lake and the mountains.

Very cosy hotel close to the center of Meersburg. It is the owners who made our stay exceptional, they were very open and helpful, no matter the hour. Breakfast felt like a personal experience.

We spontaneously decided to take a short break at Lake Constance and are grateful to have found the Hotel Eden. Very spacious rooms with a sensational view of the lake. Everything very clean and well-kept. This idyll is family-run by the lovely couple Verna, who take care of all the needs of the guests themselves. They leave nothing to be desired. Spontaneously drove there by motorbike and stayed one night there. Were received very friendly, although we had not booked. Bathroom is completely renovated. Everything very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast eggs including coffee are freshly prepared as you want them to be. Great service! The old town is a short walk from the hotel. Again gladly.

The service was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and with a lot of choice including self made cakes, etc. The small garden is also perfect to chill out. The only negative point we could find was that it was hot in the room (with an outside temperature above 35°C). We will definitely come back!

The easy proximity to the ferry, and the balcony to enjoy the view of the lake and promenade were such welcomed bonuses. Even when it rained we could sit and enjoy the view with the fresh air coming in, with plenty of space. We stayed in the family room, with lake view. Breakfast could not have been better. Meersburg, a fantastically beautiful place with ancient castles, stairs, trees and squares. Hotel Strand Cafe is a great hotel, beautiful rooms with a view of Lake Constance, a delicious breakfast in the morning under the plane trees where the first sailing boats are already meeting you.

We were eight days in this hotel, very central, had a junior suite with a "castle view" actually more of the inner courtyard, the breakfast buffet was absolutely sufficient and nothing to be desired, this hotel has no real reception (also not important) unfortunately none Fridge in the room (minibar), and during the week there was no restaurant and no drinks on the terrace (a shame). Contrary to some negative reviews on Booking.com and Co., we can only say good things about this family-run hotel. We were treated in a friendly and courteous manner and the two hotel owners fulfilled our every wish. Everything about this hotel was perfect for us. Our room overlooked the lake so it was great to sit at the window looking out. This Hotel is about 2 miles outside the town and close to the Bodensee. There is parking in front of the hotel and the hotel is currently undergoing a major extension which will provide underground parking. The hotel and the wellness area are nothing special. In fact, from the photos on the booking the expectation was that the room was in the modern part of the hotel, but unfortunately this was not the case. The staff wasn’t overly friendly and helpful either. The room had several damages but was quiet which was appreciated. There is an outside bike stand with metal hooks for locking.

Room was extremely dated. Glad there was air conditioning. Walls were very thin, could hear the TV from another room at 5am. You had to book the steam room in advance. This was a good place to stay as home base for a few days of diving. They kindly let us dry our gear in the nearby shed and the food was good enough to keep us coming back every night.

The angus burger was amazing!! It is smoky, juicy, one of the most satisfying burger I have ever had. It is shame that we already had dinner so we were able to eat only a burger as a dessert 🤪 I could have ordered and eaten a lot more food. I highly recommend this resto!!

Just had lunch with my wife and her parents. It was delicious and quite big portions. Very nice personnel. We enjoyed it very much and will surely come back soon.

Whilst the facilities here are undoubtedly of very high quality , a standard camping pitch in July is a cramped affair. The rows of campers with very little space to call their own stand in stark contrast to the pictures of luxury facilities.

Recommended From the (stated) renovation measures there were hardly any restrictions (still), at least no noise etc. . Due to the corona pandemic there is currently no breakfast buffet, but there are 4 options to choose from the night before. The rooms were clean and functional. The staff is very friendly. The campsite infrastructure, such as the swimming pool, can also be used.

Hotel Knaus is an older Hotel directly at the sports harbour. We had the suite under the roof which is a pretty spacious flat that easily accommodates 4 people and offers a terrace with a great view over Lake Constance.

Great hotel at a great location. Five minutes walking distance to the pier serving various ferries including one to Mainau. Pretty good breakfast selection (scrambled eggs, bread, cold cut meats, cereal, fruits, and more). The attached restaurant also serves pretty good dishes. Internet access intermittently available in the room, and when connected, speeds were not sufficient to support Skype calls...

But three things were standing out in today’s visit: 1.) although it was very busy and many guests queuing in front of the restaurant the service was friendly and efficient. On one of the hottest July days we showed up shortly after 5 p.m. and were rewarded with an empty parking lot and cool biergarten shaded by six old chestnut trees. We orderd quickly, and the food and drink came promptly, accompanied by friendly attentive staff. An hour and a half later, the place was full (we counted at least 48 guests), and more were coming. Families with busy small children, or couples...

Great restaurant. Food is great, staff is friendly, view is phenomenal. And here are the reasons why I didn't give 5 stars: - this isn't a good location for vegetarians and even worse for vegans (fur pillows at the entrance 😐, only one vegetarian option, no vegan) - not a good location for kids (No toy corner or a playground). But breastfeeding is not a problem 😊.
