Whilst the facilities here are undoubtedly of very high quality , a standard camping pitch in July is a cramped affair. The rows of campers with very little space to call their own stand in stark contrast to the pictures of luxury facilities.

Trained there, very nice holiday, with camping, farm shop, sauna etc... good suggestions from Dr Hauschka....

Recommended From the (stated) renovation measures there were hardly any restrictions (still), at least no noise etc. . Due to the corona pandemic there is currently no breakfast buffet, but there are 4 options to choose from the night before. The rooms were clean and functional. The staff is very friendly. The campsite infrastructure, such as the swimming pool, can also be used.

Very good restaurant with typical German dishes. Price is fair for the quality and quantity. Buildind is a pretty and nice guesthouse located in a hill with view to the lake. Hint: it is good to make a reservation because the place is very often full.

On one of the hottest July days we showed up shortly after 5 p.m. and were rewarded with an empty parking lot and cool biergarten shaded by six old chestnut trees. This Hotel is about 2 miles outside the town and close to the Bodensee. There is parking in front of the hotel and the hotel is currently undergoing a major extension which will provide underground parking. The hotel and the wellness area are nothing special. In fact, from the photos on the booking the expectation was that the room was in the modern part of the hotel, but unfortunately this was not the case. The staff wasn’t overly friendly and helpful either. The room had several damages but was quiet which was appreciated. There is an outside bike stand with metal hooks for locking.

Room was extremely dated. Glad there was air conditioning. Walls were very thin, could hear the TV from another room at 5am. You had to book the steam room in advance. Really good value, located a bit on the outskirts of town but perfect place to stop before heading to Ravensburger Land (20 mins away). It is a new hotel so good sized clean rooms and nice new bathrooms! We had interconnecting rooms at the end of the corridor but there aren’t many of these so make sure to ask in advance.

Great restaurant! Some portion size considerations (my starter was like a meal) can be smaller to not waste food. Super fresh, high quality, nice atmosphere, great service. We didn’t speak a word of German and our server didn’t speak English, but we felt super taken care of, and attentive to every detail.

Years ago we stayed at this hotel and were more than satisfied. The breakfast was really great and we'll order the great gin today. The only thing that bothered us was the open plan bathroom. When booking in the travel agency, we were not advised of this and there were no pictures. That surprised us and we would never have booked it like that. I'm sitting on our balcony and I see a fantastically beautiful garden with a great pool, surrounded by vines and a fantastic view of the lake and the Alps. Here you can relax and be spoiled with a hearty breakfast. The room and the complex are lovingly furnished with many details, we would love to come back.

Conditions at hotel are ok but check in process is a nightmare. No front desk. We have to use entry panel. We have follwed to the instruction but can't walk inside. Have to call to very unpleased lady and after phone, somehow, key felt down from drawer. After 30min process with nerves we walked in to room.

Very misleading A very missleading stay from what is advertised. There is a spa although you have to pay €19.50pp to use it. The “hot tub” in the spa is just a 1 person jacuzzi bath which you must also buy on top of the spa costs. At night all the heating was turned off so it was very cold. Room was clean and quiet though. all the machines for coffee etc only take coins so make sure you bring plenty...

Lodged here for a short time as it was fair priced and not too far away from the places I had in mind. Check in is really 24 hours ( key box ). Interior ( carpets for instance ) could be better but considering the price it was okay. On-site parking is additional 5 EUR and off-site parking spaces are rare. The actual location which can be noisy. Staff was friendly.

For many years we have only been spending our holidays on Lake Constance in the Hotel freisicht in Hagnau. It is a very well-kept, beautifully located and family-run hotel with a magnificent view of the lake and the Swiss mountains. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, as is the staff. One of the best hotel and restaurant at the Bodensee, their food is tasty something tourist must to try, once you been in the area. Their staff are all friendly and attentive, the price is a little bit high compare to other restaurant in the area. But worth to try once in a while.

Not very convenient! Far from the station

The room is big and clean, with a balcony. The breakfast is great. The downside is that it is a bit far from the city center, but you can take a taxi for 10 euros or take the 50-meter-long landratsamt to Friedrichshafen stadt. There is also a large supermarket at the door. The receptionist was very enthusiastic to help with the car delivery and luggage storage, which is very good, I think.

I stayed here for one week in June 2020, single room. The location in Hagnau is perfect! Very close to the lake and an easy bike ride to Meeersburg, Friedrichshafen, Überlingen.... The hotel room was very comfortable and modern. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was served at the table instead of buffet (Corona), which was no problem. A wonderful stay, I´ll be back!

First, the hotel has very large (family) rooms which is a plus. service, breakfasts are also a plus. The location is not the best, because the hotel is surrounded by houses, and to get to the lake you have to tire a bit.

The Hotel Alpina is a family-run hotel in which we felt very comfortable. The room is bright and friendly furnished. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, the service is very friendly and quick in the service. From the balcony you can see Lake Constance.

The room was located in an older guesthouse, but was functionally furnished (with a new bathroom), although it lacked air conditioning, which made sleeping a bit more difficult on hot days. Conveniently located within a 10-minute bus ride from the station. Amenities were plentiful, including hand soap, body soap (for hair, face, and body), three types of towels, and a bottle of carbonated water. A hair dryer is also provided, so you can reduce the amount of luggage you need to bring. You can check in yourself using a tablet, but if you booked through Trip.com, you can tell the staff....
