Great restaurant! Some portion size considerations (my starter was like a meal) can be smaller to not waste food. Super fresh, high quality, nice atmosphere, great service. We didn’t speak a word of German and our server didn’t speak English, but we felt super taken care of, and attentive to every detail.

I'm sitting on our balcony and I see a fantastically beautiful garden with a great pool, surrounded by vines and a fantastic view of the lake and the Alps. For many years we have only been spending our holidays on Lake Constance in the Hotel freisicht in Hagnau. It is a very well-kept, beautifully located and family-run hotel with a magnificent view of the lake and the Swiss mountains. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, as is the staff. This Hotel is about 2 miles outside the town and close to the Bodensee. There is parking in front of the hotel and the hotel is currently undergoing a major extension which will provide underground parking. The hotel and the wellness area are nothing special. In fact, from the photos on the booking the expectation was that the room was in the modern part of the hotel, but unfortunately this was not the case. The staff wasn’t overly friendly and helpful either. The room had several damages but was quiet which was appreciated. There is an outside bike stand with metal hooks for locking.

Room was extremely dated. Glad there was air conditioning. Walls were very thin, could hear the TV from another room at 5am. You had to book the steam room in advance. I stayed here for one week in June 2020, single room. The location in Hagnau is perfect! Very close to the lake and an easy bike ride to Meeersburg, Friedrichshafen, Überlingen.... The hotel room was very comfortable and modern. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was served at the table instead of buffet (Corona), which was no problem. A wonderful stay, I´ll be back!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean, good quality accomodation that is on a major road. Closing the windows and turning on the quiet and efficient air coditioning, a good nights sleep could be achieved. The breakfast was good, with hot boiled or scrambled eggs. First, the hotel has very large (family) rooms which is a plus. service, breakfasts are also a plus. The location is not the best, because the hotel is surrounded by houses, and to get to the lake you have to tire a bit.

The Hotel Alpina is a family-run hotel in which we felt very comfortable. The room is bright and friendly furnished. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, the service is very friendly and quick in the service. From the balcony you can see Lake Constance.

The hotel is quite new, with a modern, minimalist style. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the breakfast is simple but filling, with a limited variety. Parking is convenient, and the hotel also offers a daily pass for local public transportation.

Really good value, located a bit on the outskirts of town but perfect place to stop before heading to Ravensburger Land (20 mins away). It is a new hotel so good sized clean rooms and nice new bathrooms! We had interconnecting rooms at the end of the corridor but there aren’t many of these so make sure to ask in advance.

Whilst the facilities here are undoubtedly of very high quality , a standard camping pitch in July is a cramped affair. The rows of campers with very little space to call their own stand in stark contrast to the pictures of luxury facilities.

Recommended From the (stated) renovation measures there were hardly any restrictions (still), at least no noise etc. . Due to the corona pandemic there is currently no breakfast buffet, but there are 4 options to choose from the night before. The rooms were clean and functional. The staff is very friendly. The campsite infrastructure, such as the swimming pool, can also be used.

On one of the hottest July days we showed up shortly after 5 p.m. and were rewarded with an empty parking lot and cool biergarten shaded by six old chestnut trees. We orderd quickly, and the food and drink came promptly, accompanied by friendly attentive staff. An hour and a half later, the place was full (we counted at least 48 guests), and more were coming. Families with busy small children, or couples...

A bit old but clean and decently modern rooms

Our stay was excellent, we enjoyed the quiet, clean and roomy conditions. We’ll definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

Not very convenient! Far from the station

The room is big and clean, with a balcony. The breakfast is great. The downside is that it is a bit far from the city center, but you can take a taxi for 10 euros or take the 50-meter-long landratsamt to Friedrichshafen stadt. There is also a large supermarket at the door. The receptionist was very enthusiastic to help with the car delivery and luggage storage, which is very good, I think.

Conditions at hotel are ok but check in process is a nightmare. No front desk. We have to use entry panel. We have follwed to the instruction but can't walk inside. Have to call to very unpleased lady and after phone, somehow, key felt down from drawer. After 30min process with nerves we walked in to room.

Very misleading A very missleading stay from what is advertised. There is a spa although you have to pay €19.50pp to use it. The “hot tub” in the spa is just a 1 person jacuzzi bath which you must also buy on top of the spa costs. At night all the heating was turned off so it was very cold. Room was clean and quiet though. all the machines for coffee etc only take coins so make sure you bring plenty...

Very cosy hotel close to the center of Meersburg. It is the owners who made our stay exceptional, they were very open and helpful, no matter the hour. Breakfast felt like a personal experience.

We spontaneously decided to take a short break at Lake Constance and are grateful to have found the Hotel Eden. Very spacious rooms with a sensational view of the lake. Everything very clean and well-kept. This idyll is family-run by the lovely couple Verna, who take care of all the needs of the guests themselves. They leave nothing to be desired. Spontaneously drove there by motorbike and stayed one night there. Were received very friendly, although we had not booked. Bathroom is completely renovated. Everything very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast eggs including coffee are freshly prepared as you want them to be. Great service! The old town is a short walk from the hotel. Again gladly.

The service was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and with a lot of choice including self made cakes, etc. The small garden is also perfect to chill out. The only negative point we could find was that it was hot in the room (with an outside temperature above 35°C). We will definitely come back!

Wonderfully affordable hotel in the midst of Meersburg Harbor activity.

The easy proximity to the ferry, and the balcony to enjoy the view of the lake and promenade were such welcomed bonuses. Even when it rained we could sit and enjoy the view with the fresh air coming in, with plenty of space. We stayed in the family room, with lake view. Breakfast could not have been better. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to coming back!

Meersburg, a fantastically beautiful place with ancient castles, stairs, trees and squares. Hotel Strand Cafe is a great hotel, beautiful rooms with a view of Lake Constance, a delicious breakfast in the morning under the plane trees where the first sailing boats are already meeting you.

We were eight days in this hotel, very central, had a junior suite with a "castle view" actually more of the inner courtyard, the breakfast buffet was absolutely sufficient and nothing to be desired, this hotel has no real reception (also not important) unfortunately none Fridge in the room (minibar), and during the week there was no restaurant and no drinks on the terrace (a shame). Contrary to some negative reviews on Booking.com and Co., we can only say good things about this family-run hotel. We were treated in a friendly and courteous manner and the two hotel owners fulfilled our every wish. The breakfast was always fresh, delicious and lovingly prepared and the beautiful rooms were cleaned properly every day. The location and the view of Lake Constance are unbeatable anyway...

Everything about this hotel was perfect for us. Our room overlooked the lake so it was great to sit at the window looking out. Mini bar fridge, plenty of hanging space, spacious shower room… Breakfast was good and you could eat in the breakfast room or restaurant - both nice rooms. We stayed in a junior sweet the room was very spacious and had a lovely view of lake from balcony.
