Where to stay in Heiligenhafen

Sum up: Nice village, free public transportation, nice surroundings, very nice hotel (4stars) close to the harbor, free parking, very good breakfast, very friendly services...we had a very nice weekend in this hotel

We stayed two nights in a comfort room and one night in a junior suite. The comfort room had two balconies with see, harbour and lake views and was lovely. The junior suite was a little bit bigger and had a sofa, from which you look at the back of the TV, and no balcony. The view was to the shops and the grain silos behind the hotel, and when you open the window you are face to face with your neighbour...

Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Employees we were in contact with were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again!! The mattress was a bit firm for my liking and housekeeping immediately put a mattress topper on my bed. Sheer heaven!

We stayed as a family for two nights in a family suite and received a warm welcome. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the marina. Very comfortable beds and a good breakfast. Free parking and friendly staff with good language skills. Nice little hotel.

Very nice, picturesque hotel with nice rooms and excellent breakfast. The staff is extremely friendly. Parking spaces are available near the hotel. The hotel is run by a very nice older couple. Very accommodating & very friendly. The hotel is also in a great location near the harbor. We would definitely like to come back.☺️

Room hade great balcony with wiew over harbour.

this hotel is in the centre of Heiligenhafen and you have walking distance to all there is to enjoy. Rooms are very comfortable with good beds, we enjoyed a room with balcony overlooking the harbour. Breakfast is standard, nothing special but you find what you need, with some scramble eggs, bacon and salmon. The staff is very helpful and an extra pillow isn’t a problem. They need to be more updated...

Nice and fresh hotel in the outer part of Heiligenhafen, only 10-15 walk from the center / harbor. The hotel consists of a main building and two? Side buildings where we got room in the building on the front. Modern room with a west facing balcony with view of the sea! Extremely good breakfast, varied to suit most guests. Very nice little quaint 🏩 hotel

Top location, right on the harbor. Parking directly at the hotel, free of charge. Very quiet. Very clean, large room on the first floor (room 114). The bathroom is spacious, the shower is a dream. My expectations were exceeded and I will stay here again on my next trip to Sweden. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Busy place at this night. A chef was missing in the kitchen and a little understaffed. But nice hotel room with a great wiew. Breakfast was good.

We stayed in the hotel for 1 night, because we were traveling from the Netherlands to Denmark (via Puttgarden) We had a spacious apartment with two bedrooms. Perfect for family with 2 children. Downside: no (private) outdoor space (but beach and park are nearby)

First lets start with the prepration, we arrives before 12 and had to wait till 15:00 till we get the room. Lots of others did check in before us actually. Our room was very small. Small bed on the entrance with a very deep stairs go to the attic bed which was double bed. But the space was very tiny. Imagine with kids going stairs up and down was not so easy. Bathroom was also tiny withour any ventilation...

Great service, friendly staff and great rooms

ALL staff, including room cleaners, check-in, paddle board rentals, restaurant staff went above and beyond!!! Very family friendly, and the beach access amazing! The surfer/skater vibe made for a completely relaxing stay!

Room not ok if use to a normal standard. Think the people use this hotel just for sleep seems popular for youngsters surfers!

We stayed at the Bretterbude on 13 Sep. First and foremost, Hotel Bretterbude is ideally located directly on the beach. The beach-facing rooms have an amazing view! Even the rooms at the back of the hotel have a reasonable view. Yes, the rooms are small yet very functional and funky. If you are used to staying at Sheraton, Hilton etc. this might not be your choice. The Bretterbude has got a young vibrant...

Good seafood for a good price.

Welcoming and very nice waiter. Although the the menu is full of fish (who would have thought this near a harbor) they have a vegetarian menu and are open for vegetarian requests. If you are in town, you should visit this place

Our second time at the hotel and always find it to be clean and the staff friendly. Wonderful view and close to the sea. Great location. From our precious experience at the Beachmotel we did not have a great dinner experience and so this time we booked our dinners at different restaurants in the area and had wonderful experiences at the other restaurants. However, we did book the New Year's...

Breakfast buffet looked alright. No earl gray. Very limited selection at dinner buffet. Mostly clean. I didn't sleep well and I am hungry because I couldn't bring myself to eat any of these main courses at the dinner buffet. They did not look appetising, so I just had a little bit desert.

Very interesting hotel concept at the Baltic ocean

Rather busy whilst our stay, nevertheless the staff are very friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Enjoyed a stay in the Fitness Room. Just a stone's throw from the beach. Views of the Baltic, breath taking. There's also a Beach Bar with seating and music in the afternoon to late evening for those in the mood.

Great location. American style. We didn't eat there but their drinks and coffee selection is very good. Vegan coffees no problem. Staff is friendly and relaxed with personal touch. The comfy seating areas are amazing to sip a coffee or glass of wine with friends or family. Can be empty or very full. Check or book before you go. Bigger issue last time: the waiter gave us a table for 6 just for drinks...

A great place to stay with a very helpful personal and excellent breakfast

Family-run hotel in a nice environment right by the sea. As a guest you feel very comfortable here. A well-tended garden invites you to linger. Only breakfast is offered here, but the breakfast is rich and varied. The rooms are modern and clean and correspond to the 3 star standard. Nice and calm place, rooms were clean and very cosy. Staff was super polite and friendly, we were offered a welcome drink when we arrived in the evening after a long drive. The breakfast was very good, this hotel has everything you need for a good rest, I really recommend it!

Late check in, no issue. They even gave us a hand full of arrival beers. A good morning coffee in the room and breakfast included. The owners are incredibly nice and true northerners.

Die Lage ist traumhaft und die Ausstattung des Hotels ist super. Personal sehr freundlich. Es hat meinem Vater (er war dort mit seiner Freundin im Urlaub/ich habe die Reise für beide gebucht) sehr gut gefallen. Vom Hotel gab es sogar eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit zum Geburtstag.
