We stayed two nights in a comfort room and one night in a junior suite. The comfort room had two balconies with see, harbour and lake views and was lovely. The junior suite was a little bit bigger and had a sofa, from which you look at the back of the TV, and no balcony. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Employees we were in contact with were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again!! The mattress was a bit firm for my liking and housekeeping immediately put a mattress topper on my bed. Sheer heaven!

this hotel is in the centre of Heiligenhafen and you have walking distance to all there is to enjoy. Rooms are very comfortable with good beds, we enjoyed a room with balcony overlooking the harbour. Breakfast is standard, nothing special but you find what you need, with some scramble eggs, bacon and salmon. The staff is very helpful and an extra pillow isn’t a problem. They need to be more updated...

We stayed in the hotel for 1 night, because we were traveling from the Netherlands to Denmark (via Puttgarden) We had a spacious apartment with two bedrooms. Perfect for family with 2 children. Downside: no (private) outdoor space (but beach and park are nearby)

First lets start with the prepration, we arrives before 12 and had to wait till 15:00 till we get the room. Lots of others did check in before us actually. Our room was very small. Small bed on the entrance with a very deep stairs go to the attic bed which was double bed. But the space was very tiny. Imagine with kids going stairs up and down was not so easy. Bathroom was also tiny withour any ventilation...

We stayed at the Bretterbude on 13 Sep. First and foremost, Hotel Bretterbude is ideally located directly on the beach. The beach-facing rooms have an amazing view! Even the rooms at the back of the hotel have a reasonable view. Yes, the rooms are small yet very functional and funky. Welcoming and very nice waiter. Although the the menu is full of fish (who would have thought this near a harbor) they have a vegetarian menu and are open for vegetarian requests. If you are in town, you should visit this place

Breakfast buffet looked alright. No earl gray. Very limited selection at dinner buffet. Mostly clean. I didn't sleep well and I am hungry because I couldn't bring myself to eat any of these main courses at the dinner buffet. They did not look appetising, so I just had a little bit desert.

Rather busy whilst our stay, nevertheless the staff are very friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Enjoyed a stay in the Fitness Room. Just a stone's throw from the beach. Views of the Baltic, breath taking. There's also a Beach Bar with seating and music in the afternoon to late evening for those in the mood.

Great location. American style. We didn't eat there but their drinks and coffee selection is very good. Vegan coffees no problem. Staff is friendly and relaxed with personal touch. The comfy seating areas are amazing to sip a coffee or glass of wine with friends or family. Can be empty or very full. Check or book before you go. Bigger issue last time: the waiter gave us a table for 6 just for drinks...

The rooms are great, and the service is unobtrusive. The location is debatable; in the off-season, the fields weren't worth a photo, at least not for me. There's a small Edeka supermarket and a standard Aldi (?) a 5-minute drive away. If you need more, Burg is also relatively quick to get to. The main reason for my review is the abysmal experience I've had with other vacation apartments in the area...

It is a large domain; Since we were there outside the high season, there were no big crowds. Nice holiday hotel between Lemkenburg and Lemkenhafen. The hotel consist of separate buildings. In the middle a central building with the reception and the breakfast room. My hotel room was on the 2nd floor and very spacious. It is a perfect hotel for a few days on Fehmarn and not only for tourists.

A small, fine house with a very nice, helpful owner. We can only say good things from the room to the good breakfast, you could choose between cooked or scrambled eggs. This hotel has a great restaurant with a nice menu from starters to main courses to dessert. Despite understaffing, the staff is always friendly and responsive. The only downer was, I had a stain on the bed sheet. Instead of exchanging it, the bed was put in and good. I would have expected more, too bad.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It was friendly, clean, perfectly located, easy for families like ours with a young child, quality spa treatments (Aloe vera facial is heavenly!) and fantastic restaurant. Draußen gibt es Spielplatz, Pferde, Ziegen, Buddelkasten.Morgens frische Brötchen vor der Haustür. Und der Blick auf die Ostsee.- Fazit wir kommen gern wieder unsere Kinder wollten nicht mehr weg.

PERFECT service, great rooms and brilliant breakfast. The staff was so friendly and the location was very good near the harbour until 8 minutes to walk.

VERY poor noise reduction (be ready for hard insomnia every day), terrible internet. a lot of space. when coming here, you should be prepared for the fact that there are no shower gels here, like in hotels. Feeling bad after this place.
