Great place and value for money

On our first visit to Rügen Island, we were accommodated at the beginning of May in a double room in the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. We did not use the spa and pool facilities or entertainment. The breakfast is excellent, diverse and very fresh, the staff is friendly, with a smile on their faces. I highly recommend these accommodation units for their value for money.

It got really hot in the room, No aircon. Reception not open when We got there, call in advance if you arrive late to ger access to keycard.

Booked there. Nice apartment. But you have to bring your own toilet paper and filter bags. I think that's very, very unfortunate and the coffee machines need to be replaced.

I spent 4 days here. The main and biggest disadvantage is communication, most of the staff including the reception speak only german, it was quite a challenge communicating in english. Every year again .....! We ate well again. The Corona rules are strictly adhered to. Reservation is urgently required.

Proximity to the beach was great. Staff was friendly and kind. The room was simply furnished and smelled very musty. The drain in the bathroom smelled really bad. Breakfast was ok but too expensive. The restaurant could only be visited with a reservation and was closed for two days. It was not possible to eat on site on these days.

Very nice quiet hotel with great access to the sea 🌊 (5 minutes) breakfast sufficient and good. Staff friendly and courteous. Restaurant very tasty but only with reservation. What is negative is that there is no way to hang up wet swimwear. The bathroom is too small and there is no balcony or terrace. Otherwise 5 stars

What can I say, it was kind of a strange hotel. The 3 stars because the staff was very nice. Although parking spaces were free, we were not allowed to park at the hotel. The rooms are tiny and winding. € 15 extra per person for breakfast, but it was good and had a lot of choice. A large family-run hotel that offers everything you need. Fine is the pool, fitness and location right on the beach. The rooms are relatively well designed. The bathrooms are rather small. We rate the breakfasts average and the dinners average as well. For a couple of days it is sufficient. The internet is very poor quality.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff very nice. Super close to the beach, great for kids. Minor reason to complain is the fact that it's impossible to get any lunch. All restaurants are closed, and there's no room service. That's unacceptable for a ****+ beach resort with no other good food options in walking distance.

Very friendly and polite staff. Excellent facility. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to personal reasons. We were very sorry about that. But even so, the exceptionally friendly staff treated us very understandingly. This hotel can only be recommended.

A great pension, the room clean, parking at the house, the breakfast very good. In two minutes you are on the beach. We were warmly welcomed and looked after for ten days. Price-performance top. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. If I could I would give it 6 stars.

Quite wonderful. Starting with the warm welcome in this beautiful house, with cozy, clean rooms, to the delicious breakfast. Here the guest is still king and is treated extremely friendly and courteous. Great location - in a few steps you are on the wonderful beach. I would love to come back.

The hotel was on a quiet side street. We received a very friendly welcome and asked about our wishes. We came with a dog, which was allowed into the guest room. We had a quiet table in the guest room and could dine well there. The breakfast was very rich and varied. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortably furnished. We'd love to come back😀.

A quiet place if you want to relax and leave everyday stress behind. An old mansion in a park-like complex, very well-kept. There is a very good breakfast and an even better dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. I can only recommend this hotel.

Great place for families. There's a lot to do in the Rugan area if you have a car, and even plenty to do on site if you don't. Decent accommodations, friendly staff and a nice petting farm for the children. Just a short walk from the beach as well.

Family hotel with great focus on service! I slept well and used pool and sauna every evning. Breakfast was very good and had a lot of options. Fresh and clean, nice beach and many restaurants nearby. The location of this hotel was excellent because it is located close to the long Beach. And the service of the staff was really kind and good. But I was disappointed that it fell sort of my expectation. It would be reasonable to get 3.5 stars bacause the quality of facility was not so good and the scale of the hotel was small.

Very nice staffs, very good place close to beach and a small street food, there is NO massage but they have a very cozy pool. Breakfast is awesome, you can easily skip the lunch after that huge breakfast. Windows has no net so have you anti mosquito spray .

All you need for a nice stay on the sea coast for families with kids

We visit this place at least two or three times a year; and it really improved. We've just had dinner, steak and fish. Everything was just splendid. Sitting right next to one of Rügen's top beaches and most scenic views supports our already good perception.

Nice 3***s hotel, located in the countryside, in a central place in the island of Rügen. A good choice for those who want to visit different places of the island. We had a nice large room on the 1st floor that included a small kitchen. The restaurant is above average, and can be recommended for the ones who like fine dishes.

We stayed here for two nights and it was really comfortable! Very good breakfast, especially the yoghurt! Thai-dinner night was extremely good too! The foam soup is amazing!

We were there 2 weeks ago. Everything was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The food was ok and varied. Maybe it hasn't been going so well in the last few months or for a while, but the reviews have been taken to heart and a lot has changed. We were very satisfied and will be back!

I can not understand the many negative reviews. I had a great Pentecost weekend here. The beds were comfortable, the WiFi was great, the sanitary facilities were modern and clean. The fact that I was mostly alone at meals and in my 6-bed room also had a positive effect on my experience here. All of the employees are also super nice and friendly. Again and again!

Nice little hotel. The beds are very soft and low. Nothing for people with backs. The kitchen facilities are great. So you can make your own coffee or prepare something quick to eat. The breakfast buffet is very rich. For dinner we could choose between a fish and a meat dish as part of the half-board option.

Like every year, we, three families and two children, go to the Störtebeker Festival and are always in the same hotel "Beacon". The rooms, the food and the staff were all great. We will come back there again next year. Highly recommended by us Berliners.

We stayed here for three days in November. Great, attentive service. Clean rooms, very good reception. Delicious and rich breakfast. The three-course menu in the evening is also recommended. The complex itself is very nicely laid out and the heated pool saves a visit to the thermal baths. We will be very happy to come back.

With one small exception, it was really great there. Whether swimming in the pool or the gym is great. My son also made his seahorse badge, the two lifeguards were really nice and the conversation was great. There is a game room and even a playground. Wonderful start point for tours to Kap Arkona and Hiddensee by bicycle and ferry. The hotel is overall good for biking tours and sun-set watching (over Hiddensee). The hotel has renewed rooms but is quite expensive.

Mega Kool!! place to stay, relax and enjoy the natur around. They have rooms and also well equipped appartaments so you can decide how you want to organize your holiday. The restaurant has a very good and delicious dishes. And don't forget to try a pice of kuche from the nice Café and a must is to have a cocktail or dinner while you wait the sundown.

It is the perfect weekend getaway for both family and friends. The resort boasts a fantastic indoor playground that quickly became my kid's favorite spot. The enormous pool is a highlight as well, staying warm even in the winter, which made for a delightful swim. Great countryside hotel! Staff was very helpful and friendly.We had half-board, the food was always fresh and delicious, although drinks are not included during the dinner, prices are reasonable. Great place for families. Great/perfect room and breakfast plus super facilities for kids. I would have rated it five stars, but bad maintenance of the swimming area and no soap dispensers there really lowers the score.

the location is great, but the rooms needs to be maintained, no room service until requested and before 24 hours.

So, somewhat on the edge of making it a two but my little one enjoyed it, and that counts for something. The splash pool was included where we spent most of our time when being on the premises. It's quite alright but the indoor playground could use some upgrades, too. Worst part was the staff though. Be it at the hotel or the pool area. Very, very nice place with fantastic staff

Nicely located in the edge of Rügen, however you can reach most of the 'important' locations within 20 min by car. Clean blocks, nicely equiped rooms and dog-friendly, good prices, I can only recommend.

This is not what I thought. The staff have a hard time with communication. The room was dusty with spiders. I was put in the bottom level with a parking lot view. The castle was not busy. Sauna was nice and the pool was nice. Food was really good.

We landed at this castle hotel after 1400 km of driving from our home in western Switzerland. The hotel was constructed in the previous 19th century castle at the end of the 20th century, and our room, partly located below ground levels, did not appear to have been renovated since. The beds were hard like an old Mercedes-Benz car seat and you had to battle with the shower cabin doors to avoid the water...

Good hotel, no dinner Nice hotel, good room and great surroundings. The fact that there is no restaurant or bar the day of my arrival came as a message after I booked (in addition there was just a smal food shack open in the adjacent village).

Great Hotel. Wonderful library, and the breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit and a cereal and seeds bar. The rooms are well kept, everything was cleaned and the staff was really friendly. I also enjoy the wellness and spa area. The spa is small but was in really good shape and there was complementary tea 🫖. We’re definitely coming back.

We stopped off here briefly late one weekday afternoon recently for a cup of coffee and a cake. We parked in the small but free car park to the side of this establishment. We found a table outside which included one of the famous north German "Strandkörbe" - literally beach baskets to sit in. All rather quaint really. Coming from Australia, it was an absolutely amazing experience to stay right in the middle of the beautiful National Park at Hagensches Baumhaus. The rooms were perfect and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed 3 days of extremely well prepared and cooked food (best schnitzel ever!) If your looking for somwhere to stay at Rügen then this is the place!!

I'll be honest, I gave the service one star only because when I arrived at the motel late at night. I wanted to wash, I went into the room, the room is cold. The Hotel Waterkant corresponded exactly to our expectations. It's small and has a family feel. Owner and staff are really nice and accommodating. We felt comfortable from the first minute. Free parking and free wifi. Close to everything in town. Many channels on the TV, but not a single channel in English. The BBC or CNN with news had been interesting.
