Boutique-Hotel Bayerischer Hof

The dishes are to be expected as far as price and quality go at a hotel. The pork shoulder roast tasted good but had a tough consistency. The dumplings and sauerkraut were clearly hand made but the whole dish still left me feeling like it came from a short order cook. I was expecting more of a grandma in the kitchen feel since the ambiance in this restaurant supports that feeling. The staff were friendly but very clearly overworked and overwhelmed. Not once did one of the servers come to ask how everything was without being called to the table. My family and I waited 45 minutes just to get the check. It was a cool, wet summer night but the heater seemed to be cranked up on high. I was sitting in shorts and a t-shirt but still felt sweat trickling down my back while waiting for the check. I can't blame the servers for the bad service since they were obviously doing their best. I would recommend finding a more traditional restaurant if you're in the area and want to eat Bavarian food.
