Particularly nice hotel, we had a great time with family and friends. Very warm welcome and service. Thank you to the whole hotel team !! Lots of little touches and very neat details. Children are well received too.

The reviews and the website promised a little too much. But okay for the price. The facility no longer meets the current standards. The staff all made up for this with their friendliness.

Nestled away from all traffic and surrounded by forest, adorned with a beautiful wooded park that can be enjoyed as well as the 1500m2 of SPA and swimming pool area. A family welcome in all the nobility of the term and a cuisine that is well worth French tables. Amply justified value for money. A great discovery that I recommend.

Excellent Hotel with super rooms, very nice and pleasant Spa area, really friendly staff and children are welcome and can belong after 2 days, almost to the family. Also a great location to the ski lift Kniebis ( about 150m). And the food was really a dream. Since we would like to go again.

Very nice and personable hosts. Our room was super clean and that goes for the entire house. Our palates were delighted with the meal and the house dessert was a stunner. The breakfast was also plentiful and after this we were driven to our station to continue walking along the Westweg. Overall a very successful stay :) Thank you very much!

My family and I are returning after Christmas with the family Schmelzle. I opted for the venison medallions with homemade dumplings and cranberries. Absolutely excellent, authentic, and traditional black forest cuisine. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Highly recommended.

We arrived late in the evening, and were welcomed with a lovely hand written letter explaining where our room is and inviting us to breakfast the next morning. Amazing location on the crossroads of multiple walking paths, and quality service. Overall good experience.

We checked in today and so far we absolutely love it, the food from the restaurant is delicious and prepared with love. We are staying in the apartment and its absolutely perfect for my husband and myself and fits our two large dogs easily.

Fantastic food and service for fair prices. The perfect place if you like it a bit more quiet and enjoy great food. The level is very high. Example: not only a great selection of fruit at the breakfast buffet no it’s clearly hand selected for really tasty ones. Audience is more in the nature side and the hotel Is not that catered for children. For us it’s the perfect place to be.

I don't think it's necessary to rate this place, but here we go. We stopped just for a cold beer and had the BEST Black Angus steak EVER. Although we weren't guests and looked tired and dirty (we were riding motorcycles) we were welcome accepted, got a table and ate the best meal ever. Five stars SUPERIOR does mean something. Breakfast / Food top Level We had issues with one waiter very agressive with his colleagues. The massages mentioned with our reservation were not booked and no excuse. No other choice than to accept available slot for the massage. Young noisely kids broke the supposed calm of the spa. Hotel Dollenberg is a nice and elegant hotel. The Spa facilities are really huge and good. The staff is nice and friendly. I can recommend this place in Schwarzwald. I found the Dollenberg Resort to be lovely, relaxing, along with solitude. I found myself wanting to stay two or three extra days. If you wish to get away, and let the quiet speak to you, then visit soon.

Rating only refers to the cafe and the ambience. Just wanted to have a quick coffee after a walk through the village and stopped by the Hotel Cafe Restaurant Zum Kranz. Ambience takes a bit of getting used to. It felt like time had stopped there. Coffee was good and the price was okay too.

We were in this year 2015, for the 3. Changes in the Klösterle Hof and are always delighted by the warm welcome, the excellent menu and attentive Service. Klösterle Hof is a gem in this beautiful part of the black forest, and can all be recommended only in search of rest and hikes also a culinary Highlight.

First time in the Black Forest, very good base for excursions. Nice hotel (3*) However, a few comments: 1) 5 course menu is exaggerated, "small salad" is not a course... 2) Good and friendly service, but the boss was very nervous 3) Lunch snack was not possible, lunch package minimal 4) When paying, just pay, not asked if we had a good holiday... Pros: delicious (traditional) food. Great sauna area. Fantastic selection of hikes in the vicinity. Very clean. Friendly staff (for the most part). Good special offer packages on website - value for money. Cons: Rooms a little outdated. Some staff occasionally grumpy. Limited communication between staff on arrangements made for guests.

This hotel is highly recommended, the owners are very friendly as well as the staff. The breakfast buffet is extensive and the dinner is very tasty. We booked a superior room and it met our expectations. Outside the hotel there is not much to see in the area, but one can take a little train and visit several towns. Beautiful rooms with terrace. Excellent breakfast with the option to order fresh egg preparations during breakfast + very wide choice of all kinds of breakfast items. Very tasty food, the only disadvantage (for me…) was that you are expected to be at the table between 1800 and 1900.

After a long hike we ended up here in the refuge, we had to wait long on the Service but after an apology, we got our drink fairly quickly. The house has a great atmosphere.

Situated out of town this is a cheap and cheerful little german hotel. The staff were lovely. They spoke little english but you know what, You're in Germany, get over it and around it. Nice, clean and affordable hotel specially if you get an offer of 2 rooms together. However, WiFi was only available in the reception not inside rooms. It is nice if somebody wants to stay in the middle of the black forest away from noisy cities but it can also feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. However, the nearest town Freudenstadt is not too far.

We had a nice and large apartment. The Ehrenmättlehof is located above the street and is quiet. Beautiful hikes in this wonderful area are possible directly behind the house. We would like to highlight the friendly and cordial staff. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the Ehrenmättlehof.

This is one of my favourite hotels in the Black Forest, have stayed here several times now while I’m touring Europe. The food in the restaurant is great and the staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable both the double rooms and the bijou single rooms. I am planning on returning next year for my 6th time of staying here.

Had a wonderful visit to Hotel Lamm. Everything in the hotel is really well executed, amazing room with lots of space and light, really nice spa facilities and pool, great food at breakfast and again at dinner. Really creative, comforting food and a diverse selection each night. Warm and friendly service throughout the hotel, I could not recommend more. Can't wait to visit again.

We loved our visit at Hotel Lamm! There are so many positive points: amazing breakfast, lovely and helpful staff, a cozy spa area (the rest room is amazing), a beautiful view outside your window, and a very convenient location. We loved how we didn’t need a car to access this lovely hotel and the even more lovely outdoors. If you’re staying in the area, Hotel Lamm is a guaranteed good stay.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, with easy access to hiking, nature, and with the spa ammenities it was wonderful. This was our first vacation in a while with our dog. The staff and services were very kind to us and it was a very dog friendly place. There is a service charge, and your dog must be well behaved, but that is quite normal. The massage service was wonderful and we hope to visit here...

I worked in the kitchen for a year at the Birkenhof with the Sieber family. Mr. and Mrs. Sieber are very social, nice and competent bosses. The Birkenhof has been beautifully renovated for people with disabilities. I felt like family. I really enjoyed the work. I like to think back to that time. I liked it very much, the Hotel and rooms are very well maintained, it is as far as I could tell everything is barrier-free with Elevator in the house. The Local conditions are good to reach by foot. The Service was absolutely Super. Very attentive and friendly.

We stayed for two nights. Great quiet location off the main road but still rather central. Dog friendly. A nice breakfast selection. Dinner was good value. Rooms were perfectly comfortable. Parking can be a challenge but there is plenty of additional places in the surrounding streets. The family owners were wonderful and very helpful.

We had a great time here! The hotel is really conveniently located. Just a short walk from the station. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The restaurant also serves great food. All in all a great experience.

Nice hotel in a quiet location. Only the church tower is a bit annoying. But earplugs can help. The parking spaces are too small for today's cars. Due to Corona, you have to be prepared for some measures (gloves at breakfast, etc.). Unfortunately, there is also shift work at breakfast and dinner, which limits flexibility. A family run place where people are heartily welcome. A good choice of meat but try their typical plates . We all had hirsch and it was really yummy with cranberries and a sort of pasta as side dish. Good choice of dessert but the best was the apple pie.
