Wonderful restaurant in Koenigstein. I did not stay in the Gasthaus but went to the restaurant often and was always pleased.

Rooms were clean and adequate. Great dinner menu with reasonable prices. Great breakfast, they even made eggs for me.

The Heldrich Family provided a very warm welcome to all of us at General Dynamics. The rooms, hospitality and amenities were the best we could find. The cuisine in their restaurant was absolutely amazing. Every time I go to this area of Germany this is where I call home away from home. Great job and we at General Dynamics miss you all.

Really had a great stay here. The room was nice, but what really made the stay for me was the spa and pool. Really nice and cozy, was a great place to relax after work. The restaurant was also great - affordable and the food was delicious. I'll definitely stay again in the future.

I've only been here one night so far but I thoroughly enjoy the Konigsteiner Hof. The room is perfect and has exactly what I need. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the town of Konigstein provides as wonderful small town atmosphere.

If you are looking for a German experience, this is as German as you can go. Family run place, staff is very friendly, rooms and amenities squeaky clean and well cared for.

Stayed there for three months for work. Wonderful and attentive staff, clean and efficient rooms and absolutely delicious food and great beer! Parking can be a bit tricky and their internet is very secure, so some websites may not be accessible. We love eating here. If you get a chance to catch it in season, have some pumpkin soup. We also love their version of Jäger Schnitzel. The staff is very kind and patient. We will surly put this restaurant into our rotation.

This is the best hotel and Restaurant I've stayed at since I been here in Germany. The family that runs this place welcomed me quickly after a long bike ride throught the beautiful countryside. The food is really well done. The rooms are fine for a youth hostel and they help with questions and the family that runs the hostel is very nice.

No longer the newest furniture and the bathrooms are also minimalist, but the location is incredibly beautiful. In the morning fog and you are surrounded by nature. In addition to the possibilities outside, there are several group rooms on different levels with a terrace and garden. The food is absolutely fine. Breakfast and lunch have a good selection and lunch is absolutely fine too

One the most strange hotel I've ever been! It's an old prison which has been completely renovated and transformed into a bed and breakfast. We only stayed for one night so not a true impression of the Hotel. Our room had a bed surrounded with steel bars and steep steps up to the bed. I know its an old prison but for someone with mobility issues you are going to have a problem. The town is a nice place to visit for one night. The hotel has no parking of its own but there is a car park very close by.

Family style hotel, only 3 floors, maybe 10 rooms each floor. Breakfast was simple but good, they will make eggs. Parking lot is small. English is no problem. Modern bathroom(in room 23) and comfortable mattress.

Due to a lack of staff, which is desperately needed here, only the rooms are currently available for rent and you look after yourself. This suited us... If you're just looking for somewhere to stay overnight, you're in good hands here. Pottenstein has a lot to offer in summer, but many places are closed in winter.

Very very good restaurant to have such delicious food and ofcourse you portions of the Hammer. Absolutely to recommend here is made a head for the meal absolute recommendation.

Extremely warm welcome at reception with full information given about breakfast times, wifi, etc. The staff just couldn't do enough for the guests, from reception to service to housekeeping. Our waiter had a very wry sense of humour, which fit right in with us :) The room was impeccably clean and the bed so comfortable! Hotel Brunner is perfectly located in the old city center of Amberg, just 5-10 walking minutes away from many shops, restaurants and cafes. Nevertheless, it is a quiet location. The hotel staff is very friendly, and the check-in and-out fast. The rooms are new and very clean and tastefully decorated. The train station and taxis (if needed) are a 5 min walk. This hotel is absolutely fantastic! We will be making reservations here again! The rooms are huge! Clean! We didn't feel crowded at all with 4 of us. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They all speak amazing English which is comforting when my Deutsche is next to null. The breakfast was filling and delicious. Parking is easy! I cannot say enough about this place!

Great hotel with very friendly staff, spacious rooms, good breakfast. The only thing that I missed is outside Persianas/Rollladen on the windows, so that light does not come in if I want to take a nap during the day.

I stayed there for 4nights. The food in the cafeteria is okay, but nothing more. There's no WiFi in the rooms. The showers could be more hygienic.

We stayed in the apartment for a week in early September. We found them to be very nice and clean. Everything is available what you need. The stove was fired when we arrived as it was a bit cold on the day of arrival. Mr. Z. is super nice! We were provided with a travel cot for our baby.

The room was spacious and clean. It felt typically German which was great for us tourists. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful! They went above and beyond to let us charge our EV overnight.

Commenting on the Hotel restaurant, they serve authentic German and Bavarian food even outside of the usual tourist season. I really loved their Schäufle and their Bavarian sausages. You can order local Frankonian beer here as well if you're searching for that. Definitely a nice place to fill your stomach after hiking in the area.

The room was cute, cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were pleasant and even let me check in a day early! Food was good and they have easily accessible parking right behind the building. I would stay here again. Good location too.

Cheap and roomy - luckily our group got our own building which made it easier for bathroom sharing, but I could see how it would be weird with multiple groups sharing one apartment.

Very friendly staff, beautiful interior, tasty breakfast, easy to park. It's at the very center of the village. Moreover, Gossweinstein is beautiful to visit. I stayed longer than expected, because our car had a mechanical failure. The staff were super kind and helpful, helping us booking at time at the garage.

We did not stay here, just drank and ate on their centrally based terrace in this beautiful town. We were served the best cold beer in chilled traditional mugs, and their soup; mushroom and the liver-noodle were delicious, plus a slice of onion pie. Superb. You can tell that the hotel has been vacant for 16 years. But they are trying to renovate bit by bit. The innkeeper is definitely the friendliest thing I've seen in a long time. The wishes were implemented before they were expressed. After the rich breakfast you were prepared for the day. We'll be back and won't miss a TV even then

Great value for money, perfect for groups The nice owner is very courteous and helpful. We had a sumptuous breakfast every day and were allowed to use the breakfast room as a group room in the evening. The rooms are currently still being renovated, but are clean and equipped with everything necessary. We would definitely come again.

Nice old hotel that was empty for 16 years and has now reopened. Accordingly, the condition is, the new owner is very nice and is very responsive to the wishes of the guests. Nevertheless, a smell of its own can be heard in the hotel and the carpet has come down. Presumably this is due to the closure in recent years. The first impression was very good. The reception was very friendly and the whole team was extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms were also very nice and clean. Friendly people, cozy rooms, excellent food and an outstanding location - all one can wish for. The location is the perfect trail head for a nice short, medium or really long walk; and afterwards a well-executed massage will prepare you for dinner, which was fantastic as well.

We spent a long weekend at the Stempferhof with 3 families and 3 grandchildren. We all really enjoyed it, everything was perfect, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large, we had a superior double room. The breakfast was varied and the dinner was very good. We will definitely come back. The beautiful terrace is currently being finished.

The Stempferhof is quietly located on the outskirts of Gößweinstein. The town center is easy to reach on foot. The staff is friendly and competent. At the same time, the Stempferhof is suffering from a shortage of staff, which is currently plaguing the entire restaurant and hotel industry. Everything… the staff went above and beyong, nothing was a problem. They booked taxis for me, goven I don’t speak German. The breakfast was good and meals in the restaurant very nice.

We've been there for dinner and had a shady place in the Biergarten. It's quite noisy there, since it is directly at the main road and motor cycle hordes are showing off there (very annoying, but not the owner's fault, still it was a huge downside), but comfy without the noise pollution. Food was good, the Flammkuchen was great, but very salty, the Schnitzel could have been more crispy and flat. Staff...

Went there on a Sunday for lunch. Location is close to many sight seeing sites in the area. The food was very tasty, service was swift and friendly. It's recommended to call ahead and reserve as there was quiet a volume of people when we went there. Overall would come back when in the area

For a little hunger in between, we stopped here for a short break. Everything is very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Our order was taken quickly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Our pumpkin soup was delicious. The staff very polite. There was nothing to complain about. Parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant for non-hikers.
