Wonderful restaurant in Koenigstein. I did not stay in the Gasthaus but went to the restaurant often and was always pleased.

Rooms were clean and adequate. Great dinner menu with reasonable prices. Great breakfast, they even made eggs for me.

Overnight in Konigstein 2025 Overnight stay was pleasant and comfy. Small village with friendly community.

Comfortable Home Away From Home This was my second extended business stay at Konigsteiner Hof. The owners and staff are friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and private, and the breakfast is lovely. I hope to stay here again in the spring when I return to the area for work!

Stayed here for 17 days late April 2023 to May 13th, 2023. 3 rooms and 3 generations. We could not have been happier with our stay. I've only been here one night so far but I thoroughly enjoy the Konigsteiner Hof. The room is perfect and has exactly what I need. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the town of Konigstein provides as wonderful small town atmosphere.

Very friendly and hospital owners and staff. Clean rooms, very good breakfasts and kitchen overall (owner cooks). Amazing location for walks in nature and fairly close by car to many craigs for climbing

This house was my default Inn for business travel in the Region of upper Palatinate. Sympathetic host, the dinner properly what is on the fork, the room cozy, clean and convenient, the Breakfast plentiful. Very recommendable house.

Nice hotel, excellent staff. No AC, so might get a bit warm during hot period. Also the church bell on the other side of the street is sure to wake you up at 6. :)

Nice hotel, very interestingly concentrated in the city center. I'm looking forward to coming here again in the summer, when everything is blooming and colorful. The interior is very beautifully decorated and what needs to be mentioned are the great breakfasts. All this was overshadowed by the bell from the opposite church, which rings hour after hour

Stayed there for three months for work. Wonderful and attentive staff, clean and efficient rooms and absolutely delicious food and great beer! Parking can be a bit tricky and their internet is very secure, so some websites may not be accessible. Been going there to sit outside and chill with a great Hefeweizen. Nice staff, super clean restroom. Today I had the Postburger to go....it was amazing.

One the most strange hotel I've ever been! It's an old prison which has been completely renovated and transformed into a bed and breakfast. There are many kinds of room, most of them have been obtained from the old prison cells, so they are small and ideal for one or two people, but there are also bigger rooms, like the one I was, which was the prison director room and it's simple stunning. We only stayed for one night so not a true impression of the Hotel. Our room had a bed surrounded with steel bars and steep steps up to the bed. I know its an old prison but for someone with mobility issues you are going to have a problem. The town is a nice place to visit for one night. The hotel has no parking of its own but there is a car park very close by.

The location and the staff are always wonderful. The bed and air control/temperature is comfortable.

Family style hotel, only 3 floors, maybe 10 rooms each floor. Breakfast was simple but good, they will make eggs. Parking lot is small. English is no problem. Modern bathroom(in room 23) and comfortable mattress.

Due to a lack of staff, which is desperately needed here, only the rooms are currently available for rent and you look after yourself. This suited us... If you're just looking for somewhere to stay overnight, you're in good hands here. Pottenstein has a lot to offer in summer, but many places are closed in winter.

Very very good restaurant to have such delicious food and ofcourse you portions of the Hammer. Absolutely to recommend here is made a head for the meal absolute recommendation.

Extremely warm welcome at reception with full information given about breakfast times, wifi, etc. The staff just couldn't do enough for the guests, from reception to service to housekeeping. Our waiter had a very wry sense of humour, which fit right in with us :) The room was impeccably clean and the bed so comfortable! Thank you to the entire Hotel Brunner team for making my stay so enjoyable.

Hotel Brunner is perfectly located in the old city center of Amberg, just 5-10 walking minutes away from many shops, restaurants and cafes. Nevertheless, it is a quiet location. The hotel staff is very friendly, and the check-in and-out fast. The rooms are new and very clean and tastefully decorated. The train station and taxis (if needed) are a 5 min walk. Parking is available. Breakfast is amazing...

Was ne emergency solution and sufficient. Delicious breakfast and a self-service beer cabinet are nice, but for the toilet in the hallway, spartan furnishings, stuck doors and super thin walls, the price is really steep.

Located right by a lake with a terrace and plenty of outdoor seating. The room is large and tastefully furnished, as is the entire hotel. Everywhere there are green plants, sofas and beautiful tableaus. Friendly and welcoming staff everywhere. We will definitely come back.

We stayed in the apartment for a week in early September. We found them to be very nice and clean. Everything is available what you need. The stove was fired when we arrived as it was a bit cold on the day of arrival. Mr. Z. is super nice! We were provided with a travel cot for our baby.

The room was spacious and clean. It felt typically German which was great for us tourists. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful! They went above and beyond to let us charge our EV overnight.

A review of an overnight stay at Hotel Krone A wonderful stay at this olde worlde charm hotel. Frau Brendel makes one feel most welcome. The hotel is ideally situated diagonally across the road from the impressive basilica, 30metres from bus station and also 30metres from the (helpful) Tourist Office. The breakfast (included in the hotel tariff) was hearty.

Everything about the property was nice but the older staff member was nice but wasn’t very friendly about me not wanting to take the rest of my food with me because it would go bad before I could finish it. The young staff member girl with black hair was very helpful and understanding about my difficulties figuring out how the keys and parking worked.

Commenting on the Hotel restaurant, they serve authentic German and Bavarian food even outside of the usual tourist season. I really loved their Schäufle and their Bavarian sausages. You can order local Frankonian beer here as well if you're searching for that. Definitely a nice place to fill your stomach after hiking in the area.

The first impression was very good. The reception was very friendly and the whole team was extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms were also very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was completely sufficient and very tasty. The evening menu was always fresh and also very tasty. Even if we had to change something, it was no problem.

Friendly people, cozy rooms, excellent food and an outstanding location - all one can wish for. The location is the perfect trail head for a nice short, medium or really long walk; and afterwards a well-executed massage will prepare you for dinner, which was fantastic as well.

We spent a long weekend at the Stempferhof with 3 families and 3 grandchildren. We all really enjoyed it, everything was perfect, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large, we had a superior double room. The breakfast was varied and the dinner was very good. We will definitely come back. The beautiful terrace is currently being finished.

The Stempferhof is quietly located on the outskirts of Gößweinstein. The town center is easy to reach on foot. The staff is friendly and competent. At the same time, the Stempferhof is suffering from a shortage of staff, which is currently plaguing the entire restaurant and hotel industry. The room: small and simply furnished; no decoration; no pictures on the walls. The bed could do with new mattresses...

Everything… the staff went above and beyong, nothing was a problem. They booked taxis for me, goven I don’t speak German. The breakfast was good and meals in the restaurant very nice.

We've been there for dinner and had a shady place in the Biergarten. It's quite noisy there, since it is directly at the main road and motor cycle hordes are showing off there (very annoying, but not the owner's fault, still it was a huge downside), but comfy without the noise pollution. Food was good, the Flammkuchen was great, but very salty, the Schnitzel could have been more crispy and flat. Staff...

Went there on a Sunday for lunch. Location is close to many sight seeing sites in the area. The food was very tasty, service was swift and friendly. It's recommended to call ahead and reserve as there was quiet a volume of people when we went there. Overall would come back when in the area

This youth hostel is more expensive than others, but it also offers a lot more. There is a lot of areas where you can spend time as a group, and at breakfast there are uncommon options like dried banana and - at select days, possibly on weekends? - smoothies. The thing we disliked most is having only one key card per room. If you don't mind this, I can fully recommend this hostel.

The architecture of the hostel was very nice and modern. Also, it had enough room for other activities like sports etc. I’ve also liked the outdoor balconies. Unfortunately, they didn’t have vegan options for food, only vegetarian. Hopefully, this can be improved.

This house provides an outstanding experience for families. A modern and most inviting architecture aligns itself nicely to a most professional service by a uniquely friendly staff. The house is clean, the common areas, and rooms are welcoming and warm. There is a sport field in the backyard, and you may enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the terrasse.

Hostel, mostly for children (lots of children approx.12 yrs). Nice and a little bit futuristic indoors - lots of wood and colour. Hostel rules: eating in rooms is prohibited (but comfy eating room you can use any time), no everyday change of bed lining and towel, only one towel provided, no free soap in the bathroom, no hairdryer. But bathroom is in the room, which is nice. Good and friendly staff...

My room was supposed to have a double bed, instead it was 2 single bed joined together which was very incovenient for us as it was moving.

Good stay… except the crevice! We enjoyed staying at the ApartHotel. It actually did feel like staying in an apartment. The room was spacious and clean. Our only complaint is that “queen bed” meant sleeping on two twin beds pushed together. Every time I wanted to spoon my spouse I ended up sinking into the crevice between the beds; no good. Other than that, good stay.
