A very traditional and family run hotel in Konigstien which is close to Nuremberg. The hotel is situated in a quiet village, with open fields and forests in the background. The hotel has all the basic things you need. Nothing fact. Although set in traditional Bavarian village it does have the all important WiFi. Wonderful restaurant in Koenigstein. I did not stay in the Gasthaus but went to the restaurant often and was always pleased.

Rooms were clean and adequate. Great dinner menu with reasonable prices. Great breakfast, they even made eggs for me.

We go here at least once in the year for wild duck food. I still have nowhere better to eat. But I think the attached image speaks for itself ;)

So far, we had been there 2x. The Service deserves praise. Always friendly, courteous, and nice. When you eat the ghosts. The Apple strudel was, in our opinion, very, very good. During mid-day salad from the reduced lunch menu the Turkey meat was from the freezer. Taste of i. O. us Would have hoped for a little more. We will continue to be there guests.

The Heldrich Family provided a very warm welcome to all of us at General Dynamics. The rooms, hospitality and amenities were the best we could find. The cuisine in their restaurant was absolutely amazing. Every time I go to this area of Germany this is where I call home away from home. Great job and we at General Dynamics miss you all.

Really had a great stay here. The room was nice, but what really made the stay for me was the spa and pool. Really nice and cozy, was a great place to relax after work. The restaurant was also great - affordable and the food was delicious. I'll definitely stay again in the future.

I was at a Christmas Party there. I had the Onion Soup and Cordon Bleu with French Fries. It was amazing. So I also got an dessert. I had the Apple Strudel with Ice Cream. It too was amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I've only been here one night so far but I thoroughly enjoy the Konigsteiner Hof. The room is perfect and has exactly what I need. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the town of Konigstein provides as wonderful small town atmosphere.

If you are looking for a German experience, this is as German as you can go. Family run place, staff is very friendly, rooms and amenities squeaky clean and well cared for.

Excellent service. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Dinner is amazing as well. Rooms are well heated, clean, and are very pleasant to stay in. Would definitely come again. Staff is multilingual so language shouldn't be an issue.

Stayed here for a climbing weekend in May 2014, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the rooms clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed there for three months for work. Wonderful and attentive staff, clean and efficient rooms and absolutely delicious food and great beer! Parking can be a bit tricky and their internet is very secure, so some websites may not be accessible. But these small issues aside, it is a great places to stay, especially if your looking for live in a small rural village. If work brings be back I will stay...

Been going there to sit outside and chill with a great Hefeweizen. Nice staff, super clean restroom. Today I had the Postburger to go....it was amazing.

5 Generations of family owned Hotel. I had a great room, updated, large shower, and balcony. Friendly owners with Great German Food and Beer. They also have a lift/elevator if you like.

This house was my default Inn for business travel in the Region of upper Palatinate. Sympathetic host, the dinner properly what is on the fork, the room cozy, clean and convenient, the Breakfast plentiful. Very recommendable house.

We love eating here. If you get a chance to catch it in season, have some pumpkin soup. We also love their version of Jäger Schnitzel. The staff is very kind and patient. We will surly put this restaurant into our rotation.

Nice hotel. Nice big modern room and bathroom with small kitchenette. Super for the price. Could not try out the restaurant or bar due to COVID ☹ but facilities looked very nice.

This is the best hotel and Restaurant I've stayed at since I been here in Germany. The family that runs this place welcomed me quickly after a long bike ride throught the beautiful countryside. The food is really well done. The rooms are fine for a youth hostel and they help with questions and the family that runs the hostel is very nice.

No longer the newest furniture and the bathrooms are also minimalist, but the location is incredibly beautiful. In the morning fog and you are surrounded by nature. In addition to the possibilities outside, there are several group rooms on different levels with a terrace and garden. The food is absolutely fine. Breakfast and lunch have a good selection and lunch is absolutely fine too

We would have a nice stay with our children! The rooms were a good size and the beds, while not quite, were still comfortable (at least for young people). The food was good too. Nice quiet secluded location, with a few recreational opportunities. Definitely to recommend. WiFi is available!

Frühstück und Abendessen war sehr gut! Personal sehr freundlich, Corona Regeln wurden vorbildlich umgesetzt. Einziges Minus: Toilette nicht im Zimmer, zwar separate Toilette für mich (Zugang nur mit meinem Schlüssel) aber im Dusch-/ Toilettenbereich im Flur. Werde wieder dort buchen!

I stayed there for 4nights. The food in the cafeteria is okay, but nothing more. There's no WiFi in the rooms. The showers could be more hygienic.

Nice place for a short and cheap stay. Breakfast was resonable. The beds were a bit short, could be a problem for big people.
