Das Hotel Krone

Great hotel in Koenigswinter. The best part is the excellent service by the proprietor and his staff. He takes the time to make sure all his guests receive the best personalized service. Highly recommended!!

Very good hotel, warm welcome, perfect location, breakfast very nice and interesting, maybe air conditioning is needed for hot days.

Very clean room and connivance location , close to station , river , shop and restaurants, easy communication with hotel and quick responsive , reasonable price,

I booked the hotel for my parents so I don't have a first hand experience. But nevertheless I had to write a review! My parents loved the place, rooms, location and the breakfast. My special thanks go to Herrn Rosenbaum who went above and beyond to make sure my parents had a wonderful stay! Customer service you don't find in Germany very often.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights. We were in town for a wedding, which also took place in the Hotel.
I arrived after the check in closed, but we called ahead, and the staff were very helpful, leaving the room key in a PIN coded lockbox outside the front door. Therefore arrival was no problem.
The location is great, right in the lively center of the town, with good access to restaurant's etc. When opening the room window, there was the nice sound of street life below.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean, and a good size. I was able to have a restful night sleep here.
The rest of the hotel has a shabby chic vibe, but is all very clean, and presented to a high standard.
All the food server in the restaurant is totally plant based Vegan. Almost all if it is made from scratch in the kitchen, and is full of flavor, very tasty. I only had breakfast there, but I did not leave hungry.
The food served after the wedding, canapes, were also really delicious! The restaurant team were also super friendly and helpful.
All in all, highly recommended.
Great Location, Good Food, Freindly Staff.

A pleasant surprise. Rooms are basic but clean and everything works, including the wifi, which is important for business trippers. The real asset of Krone is its restaurant Petit Lion, which really deserves its Bib Gourmand label from Michelin. The surprise menu is superb with unexpected combinations and then there is the wine. You can have a sip of the white Dragon, from the nearby Drachenfels and enjoy your meat with a French classic. Ask the chef for a recommendation, he's been around. Nothing missing at breakfast, the lady serving even asked if we had a preference for anything oven fresh from the nearby baker! Königswinter is energising its romantic Rhine tourism. The cog railway from 1882 heading for the Drachenfels was renovated. At the summit you have a magnificent view of the Rhine as well as a brand new panoramic café-restaurant. Next time I will book Krone, it will not be a coincidence.

We were in the area for a wedding and Hotel Krone was one of the suggestions, It was perfect from the minute we drove up and the staff could not have been any more helpful or polite. I have to agree with other reviewers in saying that it is a good base for exploring. I really enjoyed the breakfasts and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Definitely looking forward to coming back, walking along the river and spending a bit longer than a weekend.

We have spent there one night, very good Service, very good food, the Check in was 21.40 possible, and despite that, we were able to play us in the rest of the menu.
The only disadvantage is the hotel's own Parking, there are only 6 pieces, and in a narrow cul-de-SAC, but the nice lady from the reception has suggested to us very many Alternatives.
All in all, a nice stay!

Nice Hotel with a good Restaurant. The rooms are simply, but comfortably furnished. Our room had a large bathroom. Unfortunately, did not work in our room the Wi-Fi.
