Very old fashioned hotel on an amazing location. The hotel is run by a very friendly family, which is already the third generation. Breakfast is simply fantastic with fresh food, reservers tables and lots of hot and cold dishes. The rooms were a bit outdated, the food later in the evening was average. All in all a very nice experience. Looking forward to returning.

A very familiar hotel. From the maids to the service staff and of course the hosts themselves, very friendly and courteous. The food is a pleasure every day. The full body massage was very relaxing. The wellness area is also very nicely decorated. However, for many guests, it was rather too small. It also gets very noisy in the restaurants when groups arrive.

Amazing dinner!! The beef fillet so tender and delicious. The crozets were so good. I loved the cream of chantrelles soup. We finished with the blsck forest gateo and coffee. An amazing meal for sure. We will be back!

Perhaps no one in the Black Forest can match Adler Fohrenbuel when it comes to value-for-money!! But then Adler gives you personalized service also, while making you feel really good about the experience!!

Seemingly family run, cosy hotel up in the hills. Warmly welcomed, best continental breakfast offering of the trip, clean, tidy and comfortable rooms with good blackout blinds providing a solid night's sleep. Plenty of parking and situated in a beautiful part of Germany. Great stay.

A perfect taste of the Black Forest! I stayed just one night, passing through the area on a long drive. The room was perfect, spacious and very comfortable. Great selection of traditional dishes on the menu, and the Black Forest Gateaux was delicious. All of the family were exceptionally pleasant, friendly and approachable. A top find in a beautiful location - highly recommended.

The dinner/lunch we ordered was excellent. The service was wonderful and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. The food tasted excellent and came out in a timely manner. The scenery and settings made the lunch a delightful experience.

We spent 2weeks in Germany in different regions and have tired several different restaurants. Adler is truly a happy surprise to us. The best cream mushroom soup I have ever had. homemade noddle is super fresh and tasty! Offered small potion for. Friendly and effective waiters. Will try to come back to Schwarzwald and Adler.

Sehr nettes Hotel. Nach etwas unscheinbarem Eingangsbereich, hatten wir ein Riesenzimmer im 4. Stock das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Freunde bekamen eher spärliche Zimmer muss man ehrlich sagen, deshalb vlt. eher nur drei Sterne. Aber sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstücksbüffet.

The villa gave us an awesome experience. It looked lime a place of the medieval past. The staff was very feiendly abd warm. I would surely love to go there once again. And the palce was not expensive as well.. 150 € for 2 people for 2 nights. The town is small but very gorgeous - specially seeing the sun after fresh rains.

Lovely traditional Black Forest hotel. Well placed and with plenty of parking. The staff were very friendly particularly the young lady serving our group during the evening. Stopped off at this hotel on our ride through to Austria. They made us very welcome; dried our motorcycle gear for us and provided safe and dry parking for our bike. Very help staff and the restaurant was lovely. Great food and decent beer. Would stay there again.

We felt greatly and warmly welcomed by our hosts in this guest house. The atmosphere was nice and cosy and we felt privileged to eat in the antique-decorated restaurant that is now only open to the house guests. My wife and I can only recommend you to stay there if you like authenticity, cosiness and warmth.

Amazing stay in Schiltach! Wonderful hosts, lovely room and great food. Highly recommend you stay for dinner as was a real Black Forest highlight. The town is beautiful too and Rose provided great tips on what to do in and around the town.

We can absolutely recommend this cute hotel. The rooms (as is everything else) are very clean, lovely & traditionally decorated. The owners run the place and were super friendly. (and speak English) Schiltach itself is a dreamy little place. Will absolutely come back again.

Rose is the perfect hostess and Schiltach is picturesque with lots of historic buildings. The rooms were very nice and the amazing hospitality made us sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Fantastic hotel and restaurant, really worth the visit. The hushband and wife owners were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming from start to finish. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also had dinner at the restaurant, food was great and service was even better. Can't recommend Adler enough.

The Adler 1604 Boutique Hotel in Schiltach is an absolutely amazing hotel and restaurant. My husband and I had the pleasure of spending two nights in this classy boutique hotel. The hosts are amazing! Right from check in and throughout our entire stay. They treated my husband and I very well. All of the food was incredible, our room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel location is wonderful...

Very nicely renovated restaurant, decorated with love. Really great, super nice service with a 2 meter large menu on wheels! 😂 The homemade spaetzle were a meal in themselves, delicious!! But the rest was delicious too. If we come by again, we'll check back in. 👍🤗

After a hard day of cycling the Krone was a welcome rest are. Very nice clean, spacious rooms, quite and peaceful area, only the cows in the fields around you, farming area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful dinner in the dinning room. The following morning we had a very good German breakfast with plenty of choice to keep you going on the hills.

A really super hotel. Spacious and very modern room with a comfortable bed and sofa. Huge TV and reliable WiFi. The bathroom absolutely excellent with a superb shower. All the staff great, really friendly and helpful - the owners particularly so. We regularly visit Hornberg once a year and we will be back here next year.

Absolutely a gem of a hotel! Great design elements, small but not cramped. Great for couples. The town Hornberg is sleepy but quaint, some nice restaurants. Many great walks and beautiful vistas near by. Great breakfast buffet!! The staff are friendly, speak English well and gave good advice for things to do. A place we'll visit again soon!!

Super stay. Big family room very well laid out, great shower and amenities including a kettle and they left some toys for our 2 year old which was greatly appreciated. Good breakfast, especially enjoyed the fruit salad. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also recommend the restaurant right next door - Tannhauser. Overall a great experience, highly recommend this place.

Arrived here in desperate search of accommodation after the place we booked lost our reservation. The staff were very helpful and set us up immediately in an excellent room. Good size, very clean and with an excellent view of the town. Later that night we dined in the restaurant and the food was incredible. My only regret is that we didn't have enough time to try the full menu! Thank you very much...

Lovely cozy guesthouse in a beautiful location. Very central for most other Black Forest attractions if you’re driving. The food at dinner was amazing, definitely make sure you reserve a table. Also they have a very friendly cat named Apfelstrudel that followed us as we hiked around the local area.

5 star experience all the way. Location was exotic, surrounded by the forest and snow meadows in winter. Clean rooms with beautiful views. The service is special, they take care of you. Excellent breakfast and lovely pastries. Overall an unforgettable experience staying here for the budget pricing.

Great food and a nice clean restaurant. Ate outside and enjoyed the company. Really good food and friendly staff. Tomato soup and goulash are two items you have to order. Schnitzel has awesome flavor and is tender enough to cut with a fork. Good bier selection. Have a few while u eat then head around and explore the area afterwards.

Very nice stay at Gasthof Hecht, warm welcome, nice bedroom and very good breakfast. The only thing is that the English version of the website shows an incorrect price of €38 per person and it is actually €44-48. I hope this will be corrected quickly since a 20% price difference to what is advertised is not a pleasant surprise.
