We felt greatly and warmly welcomed by our hosts in this guest house. The atmosphere was nice and cosy and we felt privileged to eat in the antique-decorated restaurant that is now only open to the house guests. My wife and I can only recommend you to stay there if you like authenticity, cosiness and warmth.

Amazing stay in Schiltach! Wonderful hosts, lovely room and great food. Highly recommend you stay for dinner as was a real Black Forest highlight. The town is beautiful too and Rose provided great tips on what to do in and around the town.

We can absolutely recommend this cute hotel. The rooms (as is everything else) are very clean, lovely & traditionally decorated. The owners run the place and were super friendly. (and speak English) Schiltach itself is a dreamy little place. Will absolutely come back again.

Rose is the perfect hostess and Schiltach is picturesque with lots of historic buildings. The rooms were very nice and the amazing hospitality made us sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Amazing hotel and amazing staff! Especially Christopher! If you don't know any german do not worry they speak English. The view is awesome and the facilities are a 10/10. Would recommend!

Very old fashioned hotel on an amazing location. The hotel is run by a very friendly family, which is already the third generation. Breakfast is simply fantastic with fresh food, reservers tables and lots of hot and cold dishes. The rooms were a bit outdated, the food later in the evening was average. All in all a very nice experience. Looking forward to returning.

A very familiar hotel. From the maids to the service staff and of course the hosts themselves, very friendly and courteous. The food is a pleasure every day. The full body massage was very relaxing. The wellness area is also very nicely decorated. However, for many guests, it was rather too small. It also gets very noisy in the restaurants when groups arrive.

Great hotel, nice staff, decor not that new anymore. We were still able to relax very well and had nothing to complain about.

This is our second time with the whole family. The hosts are attentive and friendly ... The food is a pleasure. The 2 pools are used a lot. We'll be back for sure.

There was a very tasty dinner - a duck with apples. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed on the Internet. I also liked that everything was inexpensive. I'll be back again, I'll be sure!

Sehr nettes Hotel. Nach etwas unscheinbarem Eingangsbereich, hatten wir ein Riesenzimmer im 4. Stock das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Freunde bekamen eher spärliche Zimmer muss man ehrlich sagen, deshalb vlt. eher nur drei Sterne. Aber sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstücksbüffet.

Awesome little hotel, far away from the crowds. A true hideaway and if you want you are not reachable due to the missing GSM network. But no worries, the hotel team has a trick it still works. We will sure come back.

I really enjoyed staying here but I didn’t quite feel like I got my money’s worth. If you go make sure you check the hours of the restaurant and amenities. Also the wifi doesn’t work very well.

Beautiful hotel, family room very spacious and large bathroom perfect for travelling with teenagers. Both pools heated and quiet. Restaurant food delicious but quite expensive. Staying in this hotel and enjoying the spa was a dream. The location is very idyllic, surrounded by beautiful nature in a very quiet environment. All the areas invite you to relax. The diner was perfect and the breakfast offered lots of choice.

Hiking in on the natural trails around the hotel, relaxing in the spa with multiple sauna flavors and ample spaces for a nap, dining, decent swimming pool for a cardio swim, delicate restaurant with friendly staff, what else ?

The Hotel was a perfect start location for our cycling trips. Good service and friendly and helpfull staff. Clean and nice Hotel rooms. The only thing we missed was a lock up room for our cycling bikes.

5 Star service nothing to much trouble cleanliness second to none, food excellent. Another bonus is the Konus card free trains buses and entrance to museums, chair lifts golf plus lots more all for nothing. Visiting Black Forest this is the place to go and stay.

I have been 2 or 3 times at the Löwen-Post restaurant in the last few years. The food keeps getting better every time. From classical dishes like an Ochsenbäckle with Dunkelbier sauce (see picture attached to this review), to the Schweinshaxe, to innovative dishes like a Rhabarber Tiramisu with Holunder Parfait (also pictured in this review), it was, together with the nice beers from the Alpirsbacher...

Stayed here for a mid-week trip to the black forest. Hotel is easy to find, clean and the staff are very friendly. Room was spacious, with the sound of a small stream and a nearby church completing the experience. Would stay here again.

Very nice location. Beautiful scenery. Very kind and helpful hosts Rooms are spacious. Beds and pillows a little uncomfortable. Only shampoo, hand wash and hairdryer available in bathrooms. Room clean available on demand only as well as new towels. No air conditioning but wasn’t needed during our stay in august. All in all a good experience. Thank you

Lovely hotel We stayed at the hotel for a night, really enjoyed the area around the hotel, saw some deers. The owner was very friendly. We had a lovely meat and cheese platters for dinner.

A very clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay in the countryside. The host was friendly and breakfast was good. From here you have direct access to wonderful hikes, and the lovely town of Wolfach is just 8 minutes away by car (worth a visit).

Arrived here in desperate search of accommodation after the place we booked lost our reservation. The staff were very helpful and set us up immediately in an excellent room. Good size, very clean and with an excellent view of the town. Later that night we dined in the restaurant and the food was incredible. My only regret is that we didn't have enough time to try the full menu! Thank you very much...
