Michel Hotel

We were extremely disappointed with the check-in experience at your hotel. Upon our arrival, the receptionist—an older gentleman, approximately 55–65 years old, wearing glasses—displayed a noticeably unwelcoming and dismissive attitude. Rather than greeting us with a courteous welcome, he simply responded with an indifferent "OK" when I introduced myself and mentioned our reservation. There was no effort to create a hospitable or friendly atmosphere, and we were handed a document to sign in a similarly disengaged and impersonal manner.

Furthermore, during the booking process on your website, there was no indication that parking outside the hotel would incur an additional charge. When we inquired about this at check-in, the response we received was both curt and condescending, as if our question was unreasonable. The lack of clear communication combined with the dismissive tone was disappointing and unprofessional.

We have stayed at many hotels and have never encountered such a cold and inhospitable reception. The entire interaction left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. We hope you take this feedback seriously and address this issue, as it significantly impacted our overall impression of your establishment.

We slept for one night and the lady mess up the booking reservation and we spent 30’ on the reception and they didn’t fix it, but we pay and received a room after all. Was cold in the room and the lady drom the reception didn’t speak English. So I ll avoid for the future, but in case of no other place around is good to sleep!

Very disappointing experience.
We were greeted quite rudely but a member of staff- (this was a theme generally throughout our stay) and told we had to wait till 3 for check in (this is at 2.30)- ask if the bar is open and get told no it's open at 3.

We then pop our heads back in at 2.50 and see people checking in... strange...

Head to the room, it's ok, and then I notice we have a tiny little pillow on the bed wrapped in a pillow case- upon closer inspection there is a long hair on the pillow... just not good enough.

At reception I get a sorry and an extra pillow to make up for it...

The worst thing though is when we arrived we were excited to use the spa and pool facilities. We asked where these were and the gentleman said "the spa is closed... today" shrugged his shoulders and gave no more explanation.

A complete waste of a trip, hotel is miles outside Magdeburg, which would have been perfect if we could have had the relaxing spa day we expected. Unfortunately with that and the hair... we headed into town and used the outdoor pool which was great.

In all honesty, I felt a little judged here, two English guys on a trip across Germany- and we were definitely treated like outsiders.

On a positive note the guy behind the bar in the evening was super friendly even if we did get a "welcome drink" token for 1 person in a 2 persons room 😂

Save your money- don't stay here.
