Altstadt is just magical at Night. Walk down from the Burgkeller to the Markt and look back to the Dom - it is as you were in a movie
As I was only for one night stay I cannot comment too much on the service, except I was greeted with a glass of bubbles and on leaving I was present with homemade cookies. All in all I loved my stay and will be back with friends

Didn't actually stay here but did visit the hotel prior to visiting the Dom.
The staff were absolutely and welcoming and the coffee was great.
As a visitor to the hotel it was a lovely experience and I can only assume that people staying there enjoy it even more.

Went to the restaurant as part of evening event organised by Silicon Saxony. The food was good, all the arrangements were nice and proper. The restaurant ambiance and view is really great. Me and my colleagues really enjoyed the evening there.

Beautiful location. The trainee on reception was very welcoming and helpful. Room was good and we enjoyed the views from the balcony. Smoking is evidently allowed in the bedrooms which is a shame. Even after leaving the windows open for 3 days we couldn't eliminate it. Cleaning could have been more thorough, particularly the floors. Breakfast was OK but a bit confusing at first. Apparently there's a sign to explain what you could order, but it was away being translated!

Very nice hotel on top of the Burg with elevator access from the cheap parking. Amazing views from the terrace. The rooms where a pleasant surprise. Quite luxurious for the price. The breakfast is in a small area with magnificent view and good selections. Will definitely be back. We had business meeting in a special room next to the bar. Excellent for small groups up to 10 people.

Unfortunately, our visit was this restaurant on the occasion of our wedding day, rather disappointing. We had just been on this occasion, willing to take more money than for a "regular" restaurant to visit" in the Hand". However, I would like to get, then this is also more than just Ordinary.
My question is after a bottle of wine was more or less dismissed, it was said in the to me that you can also order a 0,5 l of open wines that would be almost a bottle.
Not! Because:
Is served in the typical Italian well-known, carafe. When an Italian, I have no Problem with a drink for 10€/0,5 l in this way, served the house wine.
A wine for 18,50€/0.5 l, I would like to also when 2. or 3. Time to heat up in the optimal drinking temperature to enjoy. This is only possible with the bottle and the cooler.
A glance at the menu reveals quite a lack of concept - Italian end of Pasta grace; a couple of Meat and stews; fish dishes that are on every corner; Steaks and burgers?!? The only thing there are not on every corner, the prices are...
The ordered dishes were after 10 minutes!!! served. Sure, stews are largely finished before the Restaurant opens, but a film of water on the sauce suggests, sitting here Gefrohres in the game was, what would explain that part right mushy vegetables.
For€ 19.50 I would have found a degree of saturation well, you could, for example, achieve more than a potato and more than 2 TABLESPOONS of vegetables. Even my wife has eaten your dish completely, I have never been so good.
The taste of the food was unfortunately very mediocre, not bad, but it is also absolutely nothing to come Back animated.
Here the price is either not level or the other way around.

A visit to a restaurant in the böttger tube is not recommended. We visited this on 06.10.2016 for lunch.

I personally liked the huge terrace. The views, the trees and the atmosphere which prevails here on nice days, compensated for the steep climb.
Also I find the little terrace of the rooms as a place for celebrations simply beautiful. That's right, the ambience.
